30/11/2025: Grandma Rosa moves me every time, because I feel like a child again when I accompanied Dad Nicola to the fishmonger's. I remember a kind of childlike happiness. Her joke was always the same: 'Only what you see'? This phrase was a sort of sesame seed! The fishmonger would go to the back and immediately display a crate with the best catch of the night. I smiled every time, happy and incredulous at the same time. I still wonder today what this statement could have evoked in the eyes of the owner?! I'm sitting here today at the Nonna Rosa restaurant in Muro Leccese. And I always ask myself the same thing. Why does this place bring back memories? Why? Perhaps it's Claudia's cheerful smile, reassuring and friendly? Or the simplicity of the dishes, anything but banal? The pervasive calm that prepares the palate? 26/11/2025: Super clean environment, very kind and knowledgeable staff, tasty and carefully prepared dishes, very fair prices. I recommend Nonna Rosa for anyone looking for a five-star culinary experience.

16/12/2025: I'm only speaking from my experience. So, when we arrived, despite having booked a table for five at 9:30 PM (via text), no one had noted our reservation. The appetizers arrived after about 40 minutes, and to top off the experience, some of us had our pizzas arrive at 11:16 PM, while those who had ordered sandwiches saw them arrive after another 20 minutes. After a two-hour wait, in my opinion, you'll definitely lose your appetite. The quality of the dishes was also decent, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it for those in a hurry. In my very humble opinion, the kitchen, in addition to having an enormous menu, isn't capable of handling so many guests... otherwise, there wouldn't have been a two-hour wait.

25/11/2025: We visited this pizzeria and really appreciated the large outdoor space, perfect for summer evenings. The atmosphere is nice, but the service leaves a bit to be desired; there were probably too many customers and the staff couldn't keep up with everything. The wait was also quite long. The pizzas are good, though nothing exceptional.

17/01/2026: The pizza was very good, but I found the service a bit distracted; I received part of the appetizer after the pizzas. We asked several times for the mayonnaise packets, which arrived after a change of person. Then, a minor detail—something I haven't seen in a while—was that the liqueurs weren't offered at the end of the meal, but it doesn't matter; perhaps we were just in the middle of a service boom, and that can happen. The croquettes were delicious. I would just pay a little more attention to the service.

26/12/2025: During a protest, we passed by this pizzeria at 8:00 PM and were told to come back in an hour. Waiting outside 15 minutes early, they told us we'd have to wait another half hour because a guest had arrived soon and still needed to eat. I asked if it was the only available table, and they gave me a somewhat imaginative answer. But aren't these endless waits the result of sloppy management? And let's not even talk about the dishes served outside... so let's love each other...

The food is all typically Salento, prepared with genuine ingredients and with that authentic flavor that makes you feel at home. From appetizers to desserts, every dish was carefully prepared, rich and plentiful, a true celebration of flavors and tradition. The local wines were also excellent, perfect to accompany the dishes. A special thanks to Antonio, the owner, always welcoming, kind, and attentive, and to Timo, the chef, whose skill brings the soul of Salento cuisine to the table. A warm and convivial place, ideal for an evening with friends or family. Highly recommended for those who want an authentic experience and enjoy true Salento cuisine, characterized by abundance, quality, and conviviality! 🍷🍇✨

05/11/2025: Last week, I went to dinner with some friends. It's hard for me to return to this place. The welcome was very pleasant and different from usual. The new autumn pizza was the best (cream of pumpkin, scamorza, and pancetta, delicate and crispy dough with red cabbage) along with the cabbage salad as an entree, really not bad. Once we were seated and chose our beverage (the wine selection is very respectable, even though I rarely toast anymore), the classic pittule to break the wait for the main courses: ravioli del plin with stew, fish in a salt crust, pecorino cheese with tomato sauce, seasonal vegetables cooked in every way. Dessert and coffee to finish. Everything was sooooo good. The bill was very fair. The staff was friendly. Thank you, and see you next time. PS: I'm not attaching photos of the dishes because my hands and cutlery were busy with the courses and, if necessary, sharing the dishes. 😋😋😋
