15/11/2025: Wonderful experience all round. Attentive staff, lovely setting, comfy seats. The set menu was really good, with a surprise at every dish. "pieno" was accomplished, after just fitting in dessert. Price was reasonable, and prosecco relatively inexpensive. We booked at 7:30, which is early for down south, so next time Will aim for 830-9, when most others arrive.

09/11/2025: My family and I had lunch at Gustavo's and were truly satisfied. The set menu was meticulously prepared, with every course beautifully presented, everything delicious and made with quality ingredients. The attention to special dietary needs was also excellent: there was a gluten-free version of the menu, with equally delicious alternatives. A restaurant where you eat well and are welcomed with kindness—we'll gladly return!

18/10/2025: If you've ever dreamed of a timeless experience, where the concept of quick service is treated like an urban legend, this is the perfect place for you. I ordered a sandwich—not a gala dinner, not a 12-course tasting menu, but a sandwich—and after more than an hour, I'm starting to develop an emotional bond with the table. The staff is kind... in the sense that they ignore you with an almost artistic grace. Maybe they're still teaching bread the meaning of the word "toasted," or maybe they're personally raising the cow for the cheese—I don't know, maybe it's the hallucinogenic effects of the wait. In any case, congratulations: not everyone can transform a simple dinner into a forced meditation experience. When it finally arrives, I look at it: plot twist! It's identical to the one my mother makes me at home. Only at hers it takes me five minutes, and there's even a goodnight kiss included in the service. If you want to explore the limits of human patience, book here. Bring a book. Or two.

09/08/2025: We went to this place for dinner with friends (nine of us). We were served by a young man who was a novice and did a great job despite his obvious awkwardness. The menu is definitely TOO long; none of us really read it, but we chose based on our instincts. I'm sure that if it were slimmed down a bit, it would be better for the manager, waiters, and chef, as well as the customers. Everything was good, but the most absurd thing is the rock-bottom prices. I can't understand how they can keep them so low. We spent €12 each and couldn't finish everything, despite how generous the portions were! The atmosphere is certainly not that of a romantic dinner, but for an evening with friends without too many expectations, it's perfect!

02/11/2025: A lovely restaurant offering an antipasti menu with several small appetizers. Ideal for two people to start with. The Pezzetti di cavallo was excellent, as was the fresh pasta with tomato sauce and ricotta. Simple service and good wine recommendations. We would have liked to see more smiles from our servers. Eating outside is a good option if the weather permits, as the street is quiet.

31/10/2025: I give Mavi's a full five stars, a place I truly consider a guarantee. It's a restaurant, pizzeria, and, in a way, a bar, located right at the entrance to Gallipoli, conveniently located and easy to reach. The main reason it deserves all its stars is undoubtedly the service. I especially want to thank Vittorio, with whom I speak often: he's always friendly, attentive, and ready to welcome guests in the best possible way. You can tell he cares, because he pays attention to every need and makes them feel truly at ease. Thanks also to Claudio, the owner, a friendly, honest, and always available person. We see each other almost once a week, and every time he manages to make the experience pleasant and familiar. The food is truly excellent, from the burgers, which are my favorite, to the meats, always good quality and well-cooked. I often order the farmer's burger, but with one small change: instead of zucchini, I ask for caramelized onions along with eggplant cream. The burger is 200 grams, very tasty, with a soft, delicious bun. I usually accompany it with onion rings and fries, a perfect pairing. The restaurant occasionally hosts small parties or themed evenings, designed to accommodate more people and create a livelier yet still relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The atmosphere is pleasant, without crowds, but with just the right energy for a different kind of evening. Finally, I must say that the quality-price ratio is truly fair, especially considering we're in Gallipoli, where prices are often higher. Here, however, you eat well, you spend the right amount, and you're treated with courtesy. In conclusion, I highly recommend Mavis: a welcoming place, with excellent food, impeccable service, and passionate staff. I go there almost once a week... and I recommend you do the same!

06/09/2025: Fabulous place. First of all, it has very convenient parking, which is always a plus 😜 for those coming from Gallipoli or by car. But it's also very convenient to walk here if you're on vacation like my wife and I and happen to be sleeping nearby. Comfortable seating, beautiful lighting. Varied menu. The sales assistants are very friendly and professional. Everything is delicious 😋🤩

09/12/2025: An excellent experience at Lulu's Pub! I've been there twice, and the meat dishes never disappoint. The pork shank is simply sublime, cooked to perfection and with delicious sides. The chicken and pinsa are also delicious. For dessert, I recommend the homemade Sacher torte, when available. All at more than reasonable prices. The staff is very kind and friendly, and the service is incredibly fast. It's worth returning to try other dishes.

16/11/2025: The self-service buffet has a lot of choice; you get a small plate and pay €8 for it. What's not right is that even if you only take one dish, it costs €8. You don't have the opportunity to try a little of everything. Personally, I don't like stuffing your plate full like some people do, but it's the right way to do it. So just do what everyone else does: fill your plate, and that's it. The meat wasn't anything special. There were two of us, and we had: 2 x 1/2 plate of appetizers, 1 x 1/2 plate of horse meat 1

27/07/2025: We arrived in Otranto on our yacht and chose Classe80 for a special dinner: the perfect choice. An elegant location, refined atmosphere, and breathtaking views. Carefully crafted and creative seafood dishes, using top-quality ingredients. Impeccable service, discreet yet attentive. The wine list worthy of a high-end restaurant. A gourmet experience we recommend to anyone who seeks the best.

19/10/2025: A wonderful location surrounded by greenery, just a stone's throw from Gallipoli, a rustic establishment offering simple yet refined dishes. The quality of the food is excellent, from the appetizers to the first and second courses. The antipasto was rich and delicious, and the first courses were excellent. We opted for the meat course, which was delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. We were very satisfied.

13/09/2025: We were thrilled with the cuisine, service, and location at Calamate. We stayed in Gallipoli for 12 days, and we ate there four times. It was undoubtedly the best dinners of the entire trip. The appetizer selection—the burratina, the homemade orecchiette, and the bombette (which we tried breaded and baked here)—were all exceptional, as were the grilled red tuna and the pasta with scampi. The ingredients are excellent, and the price, in my opinion, perfectly in line with what's on offer. If you're in Gallipoli, it's worth a visit!

The outdoor area where we dined isn't the most welcoming; the service, though fast and attentive, clashes with the decor (plastic tables and chairs, cutlery rolled up in paper napkins).
