10/03/2026: The set menu was nothing special. Overcooked paccheri, pork was okay. You had to get up to get in, despite the three rooms with an entrance used for tables. The waiters were nice, but they forgot to return for the request.

20/02/2026: We found the restaurant with a bit of difficulty because the location listed on Google is behind the restaurant. I've always heard good things about this restaurant, so when it's like this, expectations are high. The appetizer was satisfying (the fried food was a little too greasy), but very filling. The pacchero al pomodoro was precooked but well-seasoned. The main course, unfortunately, disappointed me because it was a bit dry, as if it were cooked in advance and reheated before being served, when in fact it's the dish I've heard the most good things about. I'll definitely be back to give it a second chance. Maybe in the summer, because since it's a pre-established menu, I think they also base it on seasonality, so we'll see if they can fill these slight gaps. The quality/price ratio is in line with the standards. The atmosphere is very friendly and family-friendly. The staff who served us were kind and very helpful. Excellent for family groups or friends.

22/10/2025: We went on Saturday evening with some friends and delighted our palates with the pizzas... Truly excellent and, above all, easy to digest... Very light... Congratulations, truly excellent. Highly recommended!!!!

09/09/2025: We went to the Madonna dell'Iconella Festival thinking there would be a "party" and therefore food, but it was just a procession with the statue and some beautiful fireworks. 😅 So, hungry, we tried to find a few places downtown and stumbled upon this lovely place. And what luck! We ate fried food, pizza, pinsa, and excellent meat! So every cloud has a silver lining! If you're passing through, definitely come here!

19/11/2025: We were there three weeks ago. We probably had the wrong evening, because the lobster starters were overcooked. The restaurant was very, very expensive, because with two lobster starters, a seafood starter, an appetizer, and a glass of wine, we spent 170.00 euros. You decide.

03/11/2025: The restaurant has long been renowned, but unfortunately (or fortunately) it's not in the city of Lecce, but it's still a 15-minute drive away. It's always been one of the best seafood restaurants.

All our guests were truly satisfied. A heartfelt thank you to Antonio, who looked after us with professionalism and patience without ever being intrusive. He was an exceptional host! <3

13/09/2025: Wedding September 11, 2025 We chose San Giovanni delle Formiche for our wedding, and everything was perfect! From the magical location, to the super friendly staff, always ready to accommodate any request, and not to mention the sublime food. It was a wonderful day to remember, and I have to thank Tallarini and the entire staff with all my heart!

20/01/2026: Excellent restaurant nestled in the Salento countryside. The appetizers are delicious, especially the fried cod.

01/11/2025: I don't recommend it! We ordered a portion of orecchette (we had eaten elsewhere and liked them) and a portion of lasagna, and when they were brought to us we were surprised that they didn't bring us the parmigiano, only after we requested them and waited for a while. The basil was burnt on the edges (a sign that it had been put in the oven with the lasagna, but unfortunately we overlooked this "detail"), and the portion of orecchette was swimming in a soup of something that was supposed to be a sauce. What was annoying was that the orecchiettes were cooked differently (some soft and others very hard) and when we told them this they said they couldn't do it, then that if we wanted we wouldn't pay for them, then that they would bring us more, finally the woman who served us didn't come to the table and sent the bar boy to collect our bill (in full of course) who told us that we had eaten the portion anyway so it had to be paid. We asked for someone to come and discuss it with us and things had already escalated. We asked to pay and we left with a bitter taste. Total lack of professionalism.

24/10/2025: I tried the “Gnocchi di patate al sugo” and they were delicious—very flavorful with an excellent texture. For dessert, I had tiramisu and I really liked it too. The prices are great — I paid 20 euros in total — and the service was very friendly and fast. They also have the traditional orecchiette, which look amazing as well. I’d definitely repeat the experience!

21/01/2026: Food is amazing! But the problem is we wanted to come on Tuesday, but it was closed for no reason and today we call them, but the phone is off. Bad service, but incredible food!

27/02/2026: Pasticceria Raffaello is always a guarantee. The one you see in the photo is an ugly cake, but their options are endless. I recommend both the mini pastries, the almond paste, and the savory ones. The deli is truly superb!

You charge me 3 euros for table service, even though I had to carry the tray myself, set the table myself, and mostly even searched the restaurant for a chair. And you charge me for service too? Maybe you should have paid me that.

11/11/2025: A very pretty fortified castle in the heart of the village of Andrano. The site regularly hosts concerts and exhibitions. Beautifully restored interior.
