07/12/2025: ...we happened upon it by chance, and found a truly lovely little place. The dining room was small but welcoming, the staff friendly, and the food truly excellent. I was pleasantly surprised that they denied my request for fried fish... simply because the daily catch was different... What was served was delicious, especially the mackerel parmigiana. 28/12/2025: ZERO PROFESSIONALISM Shameful and embarrassing experience. I had ordered a cake days before for a special birthday: 50, not an impromptu party. I arrived at the pastry shop and immediately realized they had almost no idea what I had ordered. Total confusion, blank stares, as if I were talking about something completely new. The result? A ridiculous cake, clearly made in a hurry, without care, attention, or respect. One of those things that only makes you want to hide it, not bring it to the table in front of the guests. I made a fool of myself. This isn't a small mistake, but a total lack of professionalism, organization, and respect for the customer.

12/03/2026: Delicious pizza: thin, fragrant, and decidedly Roman. I recommend the fried calzone, in my opinion one of the best in Lecce. Every time I happen to pass near Viale Marche, Mr. Giampiero's 'La Romana' is a must-try!

30/11/2025: Grandma Rosa moves me every time, because I feel like a child again when I accompanied Dad Nicola to the fishmonger's. I remember a kind of childlike happiness. Her joke was always the same: 'Only what you see'? This phrase was a sort of sesame seed! The fishmonger would go to the back and immediately display a crate with the best catch of the night. I smiled every time, happy and incredulous at the same time. I still wonder today what this statement could have evoked in the eyes of the owner?! I'm sitting here today at the Nonna Rosa restaurant in Muro Leccese. And I always ask myself the same thing. Why does this place bring back memories? Why? Perhaps it's Claudia's cheerful smile, reassuring and friendly? Or the simplicity of the dishes, anything but banal? The pervasive calm that prepares the palate? 07/12/2025: A terrible takeout experience, one I won't repeat. What was labeled a "baguette" on the menu was actually a hardened loaf of bread, missing the required ingredient. The pinsa were equally disappointing; there was no mozzarella whatsoever, the "caciocavallo" looked more like a slice of cheese, and again, ingredients were missing. The price was too high for the absolutely subpar quality. Not recommended.

11/09/2025: A lovely place with lots of outdoor tables in a quaint little square. Almost no traffic. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches, and they're all worth trying. I've been there twice, and it's always been a discovery of new flavors. It's also great for families with children, as they serve delicious fries. It's a great place to try in the summer, but I'm not sure how it is in the winter. There are free parking spaces in front of the place (often busy) or in the narrow streets nearby. The staff is friendly and attentive, almost like family.

The quality of the ingredients is unquestionable, as is the kitchen's ability to showcase them. The pairings are never predictable, the result of extensive research and genuine passion. 24/02/2026: One word: TOP!!! Definitely my favorite restaurant in Lecce, a very elegant and welcoming location, with attention to every detail. The staff is very professional, always attentive and ready to satisfy customers' requests. The food is extraordinary in quality and preparation. The raw ingredients are treated with skill and mastery by Chef Civilla. I personally love risotto, but whatever dish you choose, it will always be incredibly good. The fish, in all its preparations, is always fresh. A well-stocked and high-quality wine cellar completes this magical place. The prices are definitely above average, but if you're looking for average food, this isn't the place! EXCEPTIONAL and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We were hungry after a day at the beach, so we each ordered a plate—several veal cutlets, pasta dishes, etc., with lots of fries in the center—for 15 euros each. We were also pleased with the more than generous portions.
