03/01/2026: A nice place right in the city center, but some things could be improved. The food isn't bad, but it's not a memorable flavor either. The service is generally good, but having friends order ahead of the owner can be annoying. In our case, we had to wait 40 minutes for a coffee because a table right next to ours passed us simply because they were friends of the owner.

26/12/2025: A very charming place, if it weren't for the terrible service and the extremely low quality of the dishes. Entering a restaurant in the historic center, you'd expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere, but instead you find yourself in a place with no heating at all, no background music, a barking dog in the owners' restaurant, and a crowd of unsavory people using illicit substances right outside. I ordered a house appetizer, which is usually homemade, but as is often the case, it was a flavorless, low-quality frozen product. Not to mention the first course, which was trulli with basil pesto, dried tomatoes, and burrata. When it arrived, it was soaked in a sea of ​​basil oil, and it felt like pasta with olive oil. I don't mean to sound squeamish, but you can't serve dishes like that and leave them untouched without receiving feedback from the owner who was waiting the tables about the various remaining dishes. And as if that weren't enough, there was no coffee, sweet or bitter, to serve to your customers. Places like this should be on the tourist radar, as our baroque city of Lecce is. Entrepreneurs who think they have the skills to launch themselves into the restaurant world are a disgrace to the people who visit you.

13/11/2025: Hello. We spent a lovely evening at this beautiful restaurant in the historic center of Galatina. We ate delicious Roman pinza, a good house wine, and a platter of quality cured meats and cheeses. What can I say? Fantastic. As a true gourmet, I recommend it. It's a must! They also have another restaurant nearby where you can enjoy homemade Salento cuisine. Compliments to Luigi, the owner, and to Marco and the girls who work there. Highly recommended!

The place is modern and spotlessly clean, impeccably clean! We tried the fantastic and delicious sandwiches 😋, and the pizzas were very original and made with top-quality ingredients. The bread has a special, unique, and very digestible flavor that was truly delicious. To wash it all down, excellent beers with a variety of flavors. A place that combines a great atmosphere, good food, and excellent beer. Try it and believe it!

The food is all typically Salento, prepared with genuine ingredients and with that authentic flavor that makes you feel at home. From appetizers to desserts, every dish was carefully prepared, rich and plentiful, a true celebration of flavors and tradition. The local wines were also excellent, perfect to accompany the dishes. A special thanks to Antonio, the owner, always welcoming, kind, and attentive, and to Timo, the chef, whose skill brings the soul of Salento cuisine to the table. A warm and convivial place, ideal for an evening with friends or family. Highly recommended for those who want an authentic experience and enjoy true Salento cuisine, characterized by abundance, quality, and conviviality! 🍷🍇✨

05/11/2025: Last week, I went to dinner with some friends. It's hard for me to return to this place. The welcome was very pleasant and different from usual. The new autumn pizza was the best (cream of pumpkin, scamorza, and pancetta, delicate and crispy dough with red cabbage) along with the cabbage salad as an entree, really not bad. Once we were seated and chose our beverage (the wine selection is very respectable, even though I rarely toast anymore), the classic pittule to break the wait for the main courses: ravioli del plin with stew, fish in a salt crust, pecorino cheese with tomato sauce, seasonal vegetables cooked in every way. Dessert and coffee to finish. Everything was sooooo good. The bill was very fair. The staff was friendly. Thank you, and see you next time. PS: I'm not attaching photos of the dishes because my hands and cutlery were busy with the courses and, if necessary, sharing the dishes. 😋😋😋

15/02/2026: The waiter pretended to be serving one dish, but in reality, he was serving something else. The same waiter took orders and gestured at people's heads, arrogant and rude. Terrible service. Excellent value for money, mediocre.

Excellent pizza and pan pizza, with a light, expertly-made dough. Abundant mixed roast meats. Excellent bottled wine from the De Castri winery (a guarantee of quality). Highly recommended.

29/07/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante a cena con tutta la famiglia. È stata una meravigliosa scoperta. I camerieri gentilissimi e simpatici ci hanno accolti con limonata fresca. Dopo un gustoso amuse bouche, abbiamo gustato diversi piatti a base di pesce tutti abbondanti e ricercati. Ci ha sorpreso la quantità di pesce fresco presente in tutte le portate. Dall' antipasto al dolce è stata un' esperienza culinaria memorabile.

25/07/2025: Ieri, io e mia moglie, siamo andati a cenare, in codesto rinomato ristorante. Abbiamo ordinato due fritture Senza spine, 19,00 euro cadauno due contorni, uno di patate e l'altro misto di broccoli carciofi carote ecc. Un'acqua minerale naturale e un calice di vino rosato. Le fritture 19,00 euro cadauno, nella norma, senza infamia e Senza lode, il vino non particolare 7,00 un calice, acqua panna 3,00. Coperto 6,00. I contorni, rifiutati in quanto non mangiabili, pertanto la signora alla cassa , ha avuto l'onestà di non conteggiarli. Costo finale 54,00. Delusione, in base alle recensioni, ci saremmo aspettati altro. Peccato,forse era una serata storta, oppure ognuno ha il proprio livello.

28/07/2025: Terrible place to eat. The owner is truly arrogant and presumptuous. He mocks customers and says untrue things. The food was truly awful and the price was high. I ordered bombette and he brought me a stewed meat that was spicy and extremely salty, practically inedible. I strongly advise against it.

23/12/2025: At Grandma Mary's, an excellent culinary experience. I ate the pezzetti, the famous Lecce pezzetti. I waited almost half an hour, but the experience was memorable and I would remember it even without this review. Tender pieces, just the right amount of salt, just the right amount of spiciness, a non-acidic sauce, and perfectly cooked meat, made for me and me alone. Grandma Mary and Elisabetta in the kitchen have surpassed every Michelin-starred chef, every new cuisine in vogue today; they have simply preserved the tradition of the '80s and '90s Osteria de Lu Totu in the historic center of Lecce. I am thrilled and ecstatic. I recommend this magical place to everyone for a dive into authenticity. Affordable prices.
