19/08/2025: Everything was top notch for my brother's wedding reception. The staff was kind and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

13/08/2025: We had some take-away pizzas this evening. The first part was delicious, but as soon as it cooled down a bit it tended to become a bit hard (with an electric oven it tends to do this). It would definitely have been excellent if eaten whole. Overall, the pizzas were well-filled with toppings cut on the spot (beautiful just to look at). The staff were very friendly.

12/08/2025: Good value for money. The dining room could use some updating. The waiters were helpful.

07/09/2025: I must have been unlucky, but I didn't find all the excellence of this place. Fried Salento dishes were tasteless and soaked in oil, the house wine was warm, the spaghetti with almost seafood was unpresentable, floating in a green broth (I would have sent them back, but my husband didn't want it), the fresh pasta with passable sheep's milk sauce was overcooked. The heat was stifling; what can I say? It's been a while since I've had such a bad experience.

06/09/2025: In a historic village, a highly respected restaurant. High quality and local specialties. Spacious dining room with a terrace overlooking the valley. Prices match the quality.

30/08/2025: Nice, clean place, everything in order, but I think four portions of mixed fish, which we all know what that is, three portions of raw shellfish, which among other things was a species I remember as very round, with a fruit that released a brownish color and a repulsive taste (in our opinion), a glass and a half of wine for three, and still mineral water, €183 seems exaggerated to me; perhaps the price included the beautiful sunset. 6/30/2025 I still have the receipt

07/08/2025: A charming location, right on the ramparts of Otranto: a romantic atmosphere and a spectacular view! The menu was a journey through the flavors of Salento, with a few fusion twists: cooked appetizers, generous and delicious, followed by textbook fried calamari and shrimp, light and crispy. The pasta with gurnard and yellow cherry tomatoes was mouth-watering. The meal ended on a high note with a mixed grill of the freshest seafood. The rosé wine from a local winery was also excellent, a perfect pairing suggested by the staff. Friendly staff, fast service, top-notch quality. Highly recommended!

05/07/2025: "If you remain silent while eating, it means it's good" Modern place, well-kept and clean environments. Alessandro and all his staff are formidable. The menu offers local products and very fresh fish. Good wine list. Original and expertly studied combinations. We appreciated the purple shrimp tartare with its sauces, the burrata, the fresh pasta filled with grouper and roasted cherry tomatoes, then arriving at the grilled shrimp and scampi, finishing with a decidedly sublime chocolate, rum and orange dessert. We left with a smile after dinner and with a wonderful memory to take home. Retro Gusto ABSOLUTELY recommended! Thanks Alessandro, Marco and Silvia (Milan)

06/09/2025: It's hard to find an authentic and sincere place in Lecce. Well, Rusticana is. It seems chaotic, but then you try the food and realize how delicious it is. Excellent value.

29/08/2025: Located in Lecce's historic center, this is one of the city's busiest spots. The space is old-fashioned, maintaining its rustic stone interior. It also has a pleasant outdoor terrace. It consists of a restaurant (trattoria and pizzeria) and a roastery serving savory and sweet dishes. The restaurant's highlights include the typical regional savory dishes, sold by weight or individually. There's also a wide variety of sweets, including the traditional pasticciottos. There's always a line for takeout. The products are fresh and well-prepared. Good value for money.

24/08/2025: Recommended by the owners of the B&B where we were staying (Villa Alfea), we had dinner at this beautiful restaurant, which, despite the full dining room, went out of its way to accommodate us. Extremely friendly staff, perfect setting, and excellent food. It's a shame we only discovered it on our last day. The owner's smile and kindness put us in a good mood from the first moment. At the end of the delicious dinner, she very kindly offered us a sample of desserts, which were also delicious. I highly recommend it!

23/08/2025: I tried calling for two days in vain, recommended by friends. Finally, a slightly annoyed lady answered (it was around 12 p.m.). She quickly told me they didn't accept reservations, I should go there and wait. After a few seconds, without letting me speak, she continued, telling me that for the evening, they were all full and that if I wanted, I could go anyway and wait to see if a place became available, but she wasn't sure. I was trying to ask if they had a reservation or not, and she hung up on me. I'm only giving a negative rating for the service, as I didn't try any dishes and can't comment. Either have someone answer the phone, or clearly state on the website that you don't accept reservations.

17/07/2025: This place is wonderful! A lot of detail in decoration, with old arefacts but most importantly - the food! There was 9 of us and everything we tried was AMAZING. This guy makes it all himseld including the off menu things like a traditional puccia with fried zuchinni flowers from his dads garden. 10/10

27/08/2025: Beautiful place, excellent food. The octopus meatballs and the gratin mussels are highly recommended. It's crowded, so it's not suitable for an intimate dinner, but perfect for large groups and groups of friends. Fair prices, portions in line with other similar places.

12/06/2025: Excellent pastry shop, excellent ice creams, spumoni and ice cream tiles. I often buy the Rosticceria which is really worth it. Very kind and helpful staff.

22/04/2025: Big disappointment. I write this only because I want to point out that if you are not capable of producing real "artisanal" Easter eggs, you don't make them. I chose to buy the artisanal rather than the industrial Alabama Easter egg, in the hope that it would be better qualitatively speaking. It was a disappointment... Apparently it looked nice, then once I unwrapped it I found the egg covered in film, surely because the chocolate hadn't been tempered well. And inside the “surprise” is wrapped in foil. And it was certainly a "recycle" as the base of the toy is also missing. Furthermore, I also noticed that the piece of paper attached to the surprise was photocopied on a white sheet of paper. And, last but not least, the quality of the chocolate is not great.

22/08/2025: Indescribable slowness, they don't even know what they're doing, terrible management, absurd levels of rudeness. Every year I go there, I notice it getting worse rather than better. PS: Reply to the owner's comment. Every year we come back because you're the only thing open within 1km of the free cove next door. I would never spend a single euro on your beach. Unfortunately, sometimes we end up having a coffee in company, reluctant to risk anything by crossing the threshold. The order of the day is someone who feels ill from the heat. You are the rude ones, so rude that when they called to ask if you still make pizzas, you said you still do, then, five minutes later, when we arrived, you said "we don't make them anymore," just to make you realize how disorganized your restaurant is. If you've earned €5 in your entire life from my pocket, that's a lot. The only nice thing is the water games, easily accessible by swimming without paying anything to you :) Kisses 😘

25/06/2025: Un locale stupendo, abbiamo mangiato all’esterno all’interno del cortile in un ambiente romantico e molto rilassante . Il menù offriva l’imbarazzo della scelta ma non potendo mangiare tutto 🤣 abbiamo optato per l’antipasto misto Casa Martino e due primi , Orecchietta Arrapata e "Minchiareddhro" del Marinaio. Buonissimo , ne siamo rimasta davvero contenti . In ragazzi in sala carini , gentili e molto disponibili .

24/08/2025: Nice place, but the prices seemed decidedly excessive: we spent the same amount as we'd paid the day before at a seaside seafood restaurant a few kilometers away. Considering that both the fried food and the seafood salad featured almost exclusively squid, the bill seemed truly disproportionate.

23/08/2025: An excellent place to stop, first for coffee, then for dinner. Friendly and welcoming. Local dishes cooked to perfection. Special octopus terrine and orecchiette with a seafood twist. Recommended!
