24/12/2024: Beautiful evening, In a splendid Christmas setting we were welcomed and pampered by Executive Chef Cristiano Stamerra, who told us about his cuisine. The dishes perfectly interpreted by this young chef truly amazed us. A special mention to the sea bass with its perfect breading. The service in the room was carefully carried out by Matteo who guided us throughout the entire process. An excellent idea is the tasting of Apulian oil included in the dinner. 13/11/2024: A few steps from the magnificent Basilica of Santa Croce in Lecce, Atenze was a real culinary experience that surprised us from start to finish. Already from the welcome entree, we realized that something special awaited us. As starters, we chose the savory pasticciotto and the fried sea bass: both delicious, but the pasticciotto was a true masterpiece! With a filling of rabbit ragù and smoked burratina, it was a revelation of flavours. Then we had two first courses that won us over: a risotto with mushrooms and raspberries with a unique and intense flavour, and some tubes cooked with a base of scampi, enriched with lemon and liquorice jam, with a mixture of fresh scampi on top - a dish which to define wonderful is an understatement. For the second courses we tried a very tender fillet (with Marsala zabaglione and glazed chestnuts), which literally melted in the mouth, and an original fish Wellington, an unusual surprise but full of flavor and imagination. To conclude, a tiramisu and a creme brulee, perfect to end this gastronomic journey in style. Special thanks to Serena, who welcomed us, advised us and accompanied us during the evening always with a smile and made our service impeccable, and heartfelt compliments to chef Cristiano Stamerra, who with passion and creativity managed to blend tradition and innovation in every dish. You can clearly perceive the love for cooking and attention to every detail. Congratulations indeed! We will definitely be back soon.

30/10/2024: I will never return to this place which takes advantage of the prices compared to other pizzerias, 1 normal sized calzone 3.50 euros, half a Margherita i.e. a very thin pizza 4 euros, but have you really gone crazy? I hope people realize that there is better and cheaper!!!!

20/03/2025: Today was a day with a golden edge. I got the chance to make cheese with Gretha and her mother Luisa. Fresh natural cheese, cheese with salt and also ricotta. The whole process was a lot of fun, thanks to the open and friendly attitude of mother and daughter. Afterwards I was also served an extensive cheese tasting with wine and two desserts. I received the homemade cheese neatly packaged Not only did the two super hospitable ladies provide me with a wonderful morning, but the entire environment in which it took place was fantastic. I was given a tour of their 17th century palace. From the basement with a kind of natural swimming pool, to the roof terrace where the restaurant with 130 seats is located in the summer. The family also has a farm, so the products are used directly in the restaurant. What really struck me was the hospitable, open and pleasant reception. Fortunately, I can go again on Sunday, this time to make pasta with the family's grandmother. Thank you! If you have the time and opportunity: Do this workshop, highly recommended!!

26/01/2025: We had an unforgettable cooking class with Nonna and Greta, and we highly recommend it! The experience was interactive, educational, and so much fun. We spent an incredible time laughing, learning, and sharing moments with these wonderful people. After the class, we enjoyed a fantastic dinner made entirely by us—two types of fresh pasta crafted with local, zero-kilometer ingredients. It was incredible to learn that they personally grow or produce everything they serve, from olive oil to bread and cheese. To top it off, they gave us a tour of the stunning estate, including the beautiful rooms and the fascinating history of the place. It was truly amazing, and I don’t want to spoil the surprise—just go and experience it for yourself! Our only regret? Not staying longer. But we’ll definitely be back! 12/04/2025: Excellent meat and a nice environment, very pleasant!

22/03/2025: Terrible experience for a birthday. Make an agreement live and by phone with the owner to choose between pizza, pinsa and hamburger for each guest. Instead, we were told live by the manager's replacement that the pizzas hadn't been made for 5 years. The replacement manager was very rude and very arrogantly treated us like idiots because we insisted on saying that the agreements were different and that therefore there had to be a change in the agreed price given their change of plans. Pinse burnt is an understatement, we did not send them back so as not to create further havoc in the climate of general disorganization. So burnt that they were bitter and that they were partially left on the plate by the guests who also found them poorly seasoned. On the initial price of €18 per child (there were 9 guests), for a total of €162, the bills at the checkout were different. We were made fun of again because from the initial proposal to give us a price of €16 per child €144, the bill was €150 telling us of a starting total of €170. Let's say they enjoy rounding up or down based on what is convenient (TO THEM). I strongly advise against this pub (if it can be defined as such) for small parties because it is totally inappropriate both for the price and the quality offered (burnt) and for the intolerance on the part of the substitute manager who almost persisted in treating us like crazy as if there were three people who had misunderstood the same thing agreed first in person and then on the phone. We should remember that in this job you are in contact with the public and that it is the customer who feeds you, given that we were almost sent to hell at the cash register. Clearly the first and last time I set foot in such a place. I strongly advise against this place to anyone.

09/02/2025: Once upon a time the restaurants in Lecce were good and honest, qualities that have been completely lost in this one. Dining room staff who were not attentive to service, probably they were not trained well since the head waiter was more focused on understanding how to make guests spend more than anything else. Let's start with the €4 cover charge, which is disproportionate for the type of service and venue, and then list a whole series of prices not indicated such as the non-menu items mentioned verbally such as Spaghetti with sea urchins, crostini with sea urchins for starters, and raw meats whose freshness is in doubt. Overlooking the fact that some dishes were overcooked and without salt, we arrive at the very salty bill, since despite 6 starters, 6 first courses, 3 plates for the girls, 2 wines in the medium-low range in price, and a final sorbet, we paid around €500 We were very disappointed by the lack of transparency and honesty. If we had wanted to eat excellent fish and a more dignified location, we would have consciously chosen to spend another restaurant. Since we opted for this for convenience because we liked it the first time, we were hugely disappointed. Be careful this is a robbery!

Definitivamente, tómese el tiempo para explorarlo y, cuando quiera tomar un descanso, diríjase al paseo marítimo, donde encontrará Gelateria Artiglianale, hogar de algunos de los mejores gelati que tuvimos el placer de probar en nuestro reciente viaje allí. Los sabores estándar estaban bien representados, pero fue la ingeniosa combinación de ingredientes inventivos lo que nos introdujo a maravillas de helado completamente nuevas para saborear. Ve a ver la hermosa ciudad, y no te pierdas el helado... ¡fue fantástico!

08/03/2025: I was invited to this restaurant by local friends who couldn’t stop praising the food. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the authenticity of the place, with its traditional charm. We ordered a generous selection of starters, they were all good. But of course, the real highlight of the meal was the meat. We were served top-quality Angus beef, expertly sliced and ready to be cooked on the hot stone at the table—a fantastic experience for any meat lover 🍖 🥓 🥩 If I had one suggestion for the management, it would be to consider restricting babies 👶 during dinner service. This restaurant is meant for guests looking to enjoy a great meal in a relaxed setting, and having crying babies around can take away from that experience.
