03/11/2025: La Pergola Restaurant was a real surprise during our stroll through Santa Maria al Bagno. It's centrally located, right on the village square, overlooking the sea. The highlight is undoubtedly the cuisine, which proved to be excellent. You can taste the freshness and quality of the fish, the true star of the menu. The staff is attentive, professional, and very courteous! Highly recommended! 👏🏻 Biagio and Maria Pia

28/10/2025: A very nice restaurant with more than reasonable prices and a warm welcome. The food is very good, very generous, and they accept dogs. I recommend it 👍🏻

04/01/2026: We booked via WhatsApp, and to our great disappointment, they'd entered the wrong time, so they seated us at a table very close to the entrance door, which meant we occasionally had a cold draft. We tried to ask for a different table, but since it was a holiday, it wasn't possible. That said, once we'd ordered our sandwiches, we were quite satisfied, although objectively, the cheese could have been melted better and not just placed cold inside.

03/01/2026: I was with my partner and we chose 2 sandwiches. Mine was a burger with double cheddar which was completely cold and seemed to have been put on haphazardly😞…. Never eaten cheddar like that, usually it has to be melted🤷🏽‍♀️. I ate half of it, but I removed the cheese which had a strong taste that was not at all pleasant. Then I wanted to make an observation about the waiter who took the order, I found him intrusive with his jokes... when I made a mistake asking for Angus platter I forgot it was on the plate and I was called Mongolian because I wanted the sandwich and he says: ma'am DON'T WORRY THEY ARE ALL LIKE THAT🤔🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️! When I was ordering for myself my partner who was tired and asked to order for him too. The waiter turns around and says: But she also lets this poor man talk, she always wants to talk🤬🤦🏽‍♀️. So since I was a waitress myself for years and I know how it works and how we should behave with customers, I found this guy too intrusive and I didn't like him at all. I didn't say anything at the time because I didn't want to disturb his work! But I suggest the owner give this guy some advice about not being too intrusive, we shouldn't get too familiar with the customers!!!! P.S. Be nice, yes, but with professionalism

06/01/2026: Welcoming and familiar place, we were there on the evening of January 5th and about an hour before midnight the BEFANA arrived, kindly giving candy to the children and taking photos and selfies with all of us. The karaoke lady managed to organize the singing and dancing well and was available to the slightly different requests of our group. We had a really lovely evening, compliments to the DJ, truly engaging. We will do it again.

01/01/2026: I went there yesterday for the first time. Excellent food!!! Kind and courteous staff, attentive to the customer!! I recommend it. Definitely going back!!! A very positive experience.

26/08/2025: The kindness of Mr. Maurizio Cezzi: if only we could give him 100 stars! The well-kept, harmonious, and clean grounds inspire a sense of relaxation and well-being. The climbing plants on the property are stunning, a peaceful retreat ideal for unwinding from the daily grind and reconnecting with nature. The private and convenient pool is also available.

24/08/2025: My boyfriend and I vacationed at Tenuta Sant'Andrea. The place is truly fabulous, strategically located for reaching the most beautiful places. We had a wonderful time. Matteo's kindness and hospitality were priceless. He made us feel at home right away and gave us helpful tips on all the places to visit. For anyone looking for a vacation in Salento, Tenuta Sant'Andrea is an absolute must!

04/01/2026: A truly "exciting" dinner with a tasting menu, a journey that explores all the regional flavors with experience and sensitivity. It was truly an experience that captivated me. The dishes with tomatoes, offal, and snails were particularly interesting. The desserts were superb. Finally, I'd like to offer my sincere compliments and appreciation to the lady in the dining room. She is extremely professional and knows how to share the region's stories, guiding guests with great sensitivity and style.

05/01/2026: Excellent seafood dishes in a courtyard inside Palazzo Grumesi on the Gallipoli coast near the Puritate beach. Stunning location and impeccable seafood menu, featuring both raw and cooked dishes. Sea bass, white bream, and sea bass of various sizes, along with the lightest fried shrimp and calamari. Knowledgeable staff.

28/07/2025: Terrible place to eat. The owner is truly arrogant and presumptuous. He mocks customers and says untrue things. The food was truly awful and the price was high. I ordered bombette and he brought me a stewed meat that was spicy and extremely salty, practically inedible. I strongly advise against it.

16/10/2025: Bakery offering quality bread, friselline, and biscuits, all expertly made in the old-fashioned way, and you can taste it! My only suggestion (I hope it's implemented) would be to see the words "Wood-fired oven" written on both the sign and the product labels: but Mr. Piero is absorbed in his work and less in communication. Perhaps he takes this type of baking for granted, which is a tradition here, but requires a great deal of effort and dedication from those who make it and shouldn't be underestimated. However, I think it's worth HIGHLIGHTING: everyone in the area knows about it, but there are also tourists and those just passing through, and this could help them better understand and appreciate the effort put into producing their baked goods.

26/08/2025: You can't judge the atmosphere; it's just a store. The bread and pizza are excellent. The biscuits are also delicious.

07/12/2025: A terrible takeout experience, one I won't repeat. What was labeled a "baguette" on the menu was actually a hardened loaf of bread, missing the required ingredient. The pinsa were equally disappointing; there was no mozzarella whatsoever, the "caciocavallo" looked more like a slice of cheese, and again, ingredients were missing. The price was too high for the absolutely subpar quality. Not recommended.

11/09/2025: A lovely place with lots of outdoor tables in a quaint little square. Almost no traffic. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches, and they're all worth trying. I've been there twice, and it's always been a discovery of new flavors. It's also great for families with children, as they serve delicious fries. It's a great place to try in the summer, but I'm not sure how it is in the winter. There are free parking spaces in front of the place (often busy) or in the narrow streets nearby. The staff is friendly and attentive, almost like family.
