10/06/2026: It doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't be fooled by the beautiful dining room and outdoor garden. The food is excellent and the value is excellent. The waiter is very friendly and attentive. If you want to eat good seafood, I absolutely recommend it.

04/08/2026: My car was broken and I spent one night in a cozy town Muggia. After warm day I had dinner at "Stefano's house". Interier is simple but nice, atmosphere is very nice, you can see fresh fish just behind the entrance in a vitrine. Waiters are very nice, polite and very helpful. First surprise - I have got cold starter as a gift, for free - small plate with three various delicious spreads. As a primo piato I chose Lasagne al ragu bolognese. Guys, they were delicious, fresh and creamy. I would say grandma's lasagne, but my grandma is slovak and she never cooked lasagne 🤣. Then I had grilled squids with Max salad. Again, very tasty, fresh, proper and accurate grilled. I am on a diet, but ... tiramisu could not miss. Again, this tiramisu belonged to the top tiramisu I had ever had. It was with extra portion of a coffee liquor. Clearly said, I am happy I had my dinner at Stefano's house, with very nice and professional waiters and delicious food. And guys, I spent something more over 50 eur, including my soft drinks as well. I recommend you to enjoy this restaurant as well.

16/07/2026: We received a wonderfully warm welcome at Osteria ai 2 Ladroni and immediately felt at home in the very cozy and charming restaurant. The food was simply delicious and of excellent quality. But what really stands out here is the presentation! All the dishes were incredibly beautiful, creative, and colorful – a true visual and culinary highlight. We highly recommend this restaurant if you're in Trieste. We'll definitely be back!

10/06/2026: It was a recommendation from a winemaker in the Karst region. Very attentive and extremely dedicated service. As advertised, the focus was on fish. The sardoni in saor were excellent, as was the octopus salad. The oven-baked turbot for two was very good (it was a daily special). I would have preferred to fillet it myself, but I could have mentioned that beforehand. Small but excellent wine list from the Karst region. Quite good value for money.

25/06/2026: Honestly, the value for money is good. The location is basic, I give it a passing grade. We'll be back, so it's already good enough to try something else. Maybe I'll change my rating and give it a higher rating. Fast, friendly, and helpful service.

05/08/2026: I took my hotel's advice and came here with the idea of ​​having a pizza. When I arrived, the restaurant was completely full. So I walked for about 15 minutes. When I returned, there was still a wait, and other people were waiting in line. At one point, someone, unfortunately impolite, took my seat without asking the staff. I mentioned it to the staff, who were very kind and resolved the situation quickly. I ordered a pizza with sausage and broccoli rabe. Unfortunately, the sausage was a bit too fatty and a bit dry. The pizza dough, however, was truly excellent and cooked perfectly. To make up for the wait, the staff offered me a limoncello. It was the best limoncello I drank during my trip. Thanks to all the staff for their kindness. It was a very pleasant experience and definitely recommended.

04/08/2026: After reading good reviews, we walked past here. At that moment, there was no space, but we could come back in half an hour. After a quick walk around the neighborhood, we returned, but the table wasn't ready; they said “5 minutes” and then we could sit down. After that, we got the feeling they would rather be rid of us than have us around, and for the first 10 minutes, they completely ignored us. During the meal, we saw one of the staff members saying “10 minutes” or “20 minutes” to everyone, and every table was filled up again and again. The hostess outside managed everything by herself (which was not feasible in our opinion), and the other man kept filling the tables. The food was mediocre; the pizza was not fully cooked, and the egg in the pasta carbonara was overcooked, so it was more like pasta with scrambled eggs. All in all, a mediocre experience, and it is not really understandable why this restaurant is rated so highly.

06/07/2026: I was tempted to give it 3 stars, but in the end I decided to give it 4 because we ate really well, and that remains the most important aspect for me. However, there are some details that, in my opinion, could be improved. The welcome was rather basic: a simple "hello" and little interaction. Considering that we were the only customers on the terrace when we arrived, I would have expected a little more attention. Another observation concerns the menu. Looking at the photos posted on Google in 2025, I had noticed a wider selection of first courses; today, the offerings seemed more limited, and I was initially a bit surprised. Fortunately, the waiter was very kind and helpful, accommodating our request and preparing an excellent "custom" first course for us, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The only comment about the food concerns the cold appetizer, which I found slightly underpriced for the price, especially when compared to the first courses, which were plentiful, well-prepared, and excellent value. Overall, I believe that greater attention to hospitality and customer service would make the experience even more enjoyable. Despite these observations, we were satisfied with the meal and I highly recommend this restaurant.

11/05/2026: We were celebrating a family birthday. When we arrived, a little late, it was crowded, but the reserved table was available. Despite the crowd, we were served quickly. The mixed platter of cured meats, jota, frittatas, and desserts were excellent, served with kindness and attentiveness. Splendid location.

28/06/2026: I went for a drink outside one evening with some friends. A nice place on the main street of Trieste's nightlife. In addition to a wide selection of drinks, despite the late hour, it offers simple food like meatballs (delicious), breaded eggplant, and much more. Excellent value considering the street it's on. There are two flaws, however, the first of which, in my opinion, is significant: we weren't allowed to keep separate bills, which was highly inconvenient and questionable given the lack of advance notice. And the choice to bring a Prosecco in a glass instead of a stemmed glass, in a place that's also a restaurant, is also a poor choice. (I recommend using plastic stemware in the evening instead.) Aside from these two issues, it's a good place to spend an evening with friends.

08/05/2026: I couldn't have found a worse place. A sort of fixed menu for €18, including an embarrassing cod tartine and something that should have been a sautéed mussels. When we asked for a bottle of wine, the waiter insisted on "cashing in right away"... never happened in my life! I felt ashamed for them... never, ever again in this awful place. Grand finale: we were served two portions of calamari and the question was "What do you want, two squids too?"... Shame on you!

06/05/2026: When you come to the restaurant after shopping🙈 and you come at a time when it is closed, but the restaurant is family-run, it is run by our people, wrestle and when the owner tells you that it is not a problem, he will arrange something, and he will arrange a delicious fish platter for two and treat you to an excellent cod spread.
