Discovered by chance. Very friendly waitress. Excellent food. Downtown prices.

It was a recommendation from a winemaker in the Karst region. Very attentive and extremely dedicated service. As advertised, the focus was on fish. The sardoni in saor were excellent, as was the octopus salad. The oven-baked turbot for two was very good (it was a daily special). I would have preferred to fillet it myself, but I could have mentioned that beforehand. Small but excellent wine list from the Karst region. Quite good value for money.

A FOODIE’S MOST ENJOYABLE SEAFOOD LUNCHEON in Trieste🤗🤗🤗. It’s a cozy trattoria in Piazza Cavana area. It’s a very popular spot especially for locals 👏👏👏, a very sign of good food. The Menu is very short and sweet, the listing are all scrumptious seafood save for the veggies sides. There is also a good wine list featuring regional wines. 🤗🤗🤗 we love the Creamed Cod, chunks of cod in a delicate house cream. 🤗🤗🤗 then there’s the Salad of o to and squid … A lovely warm salad …. WOW 🥂🥂🥂both paired so well with the Ribolla Gialla. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 The Calamari Fritti and Fried Sardines are both unexpected main plates… textures of crisp and soft of fried seafood YET luscious flavors of the sea with very simple seasoning… 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷 they were outstanding with the Leonardon red. Service is excellent.. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A bit out of the way, perfect for a quiet spot despite being in the heart of the historic center. Mouth-watering cod tartines, crispy mixed fried fish, and a good white wine. What else?

We ate wonderfully! The dishes were delicious and plentiful. The desserts were also excellent.
