22/07/2026: A place with authentic Italian cuisine, close to the port and overlooking the water. 🌊 We ordered pizza, gnocchi, pasta, and a cutlet with various toppings. Everyone found something they liked on the menu. The food was served quite quickly. I recommend this place. 👍🍕🍝🍹

The dough was so good, that it "doesn't feel heavy on the stomach" at all, the ingredients were perfect. Thank you Assaje for the delicious pizza and wonderful service! I came back twice!❤️

01/07/2026: A good restaurant in the Karst region. Reasonable prices, good food, friendly staff. Be careful, because what's written on the menu isn't available every day. Ask what they actually serve that evening when you book. They also do pizza. It's a shame the service is a bit chaotic. Some orders may arrive very late.

10/06/2026: We stopped for a very short break. The breakfast was good, but above all, the bathroom was clean, which was essential for me. The staff was courteous and friendly. High rating.

We ordered seafood and were impressed by the excellent quality of the ingredients: fresh fish, very well cooked, and incredibly flavorful. The service was friendly and attentive, and the prices were reasonable and fully in line with the quality offered. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for excellent seafood in Trieste.

13/07/2026: An excellent experience just steps from Piazza Unità. Generous dishes, good quality, and courteous service. We ordered the large hot and cold antipasto (special mention for the creamed cod) and the large Malcanton fritto misto (a very generous dish, not suitable for those with a light appetite), all washed down with a nice Prosecco (Col de Mez). Prices were reasonable and clearly displayed.

26/07/2026: A quaint osmiza, a large courtyard with a well and old houses surrounding it. Plenty of tables and plenty of space. Suitable for large gatherings. Generous, beautifully presented, and delicious platters of cured meats and cheeses. White and red wine (the latter goes particularly well with cured meats or sausages). Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

19/05/2026: Beautiful restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had pasta, gnocchi, and fish--all great. Nice wine selection. Cozy atmosphere.

09/05/2026: I would give this place zero Stars if I could. The cover charge of 4 Euros is ridiculous. They also charge 4 euros for a bottle of water and they only have one size no smaller bottles available. The staff was rude and inattentive. I waited 10 minutes and no one came to take my order so I got up and left. No way would I ever set foot in this place again

11/06/2026: A private atmosphere, excellent service, both in terms of the wine selection and the detailed presentation of the dishes. Excellent quality of the meat: the first courses and the pigeon are highly recommended (don't be fooled!!). Perfect for a romantic dinner or a culinary treat!

05/06/2026: We had the tasting menu, and it was truly excellent. The mushrooms with potato foam and the melt-in-your-mouth octopus were particularly outstanding. We would have loved to order another portion, but it was too late for the kitchen. Unfortunately, the otherwise very friendly service felt somewhat neglected. We were often left sitting with empty bottles and glasses, and no one came to ask if we wanted anything else. Coffee wasn't offered with dessert, and we couldn't even ask for it because the waiter disappeared immediately after explaining the dessert. In short, the food and ambiance were top-notch. The service, however, left something to be desired. Perhaps it was the corner table, or maybe the waiter was just having an off day—who knows?

04/05/2026: We stopped by on Sunday for lunch, having made a reservation. The road to get there is very narrow, and parking is difficult to find. The restaurant has remained unchanged since our last visit. The service is very good, with knowledgeable staff who can offer advice. The quality of the fish is excellent, but in my humble opinion, it's a bit pricey. You can expect to spend between €50 and €80. But it's in proportion to what you get.

19/04/2026: ...a quick, light meal before an afternoon engagement in the area, which we were led to by chance by a third party's recommendation... A very well-maintained, welcoming place, with a refined, yet unobtrusive, menu. Unique and well-chosen combinations of ingredients. Research and attention to detail...Very positive.

19/07/2026: An incredibly beautiful café inside. It's said to be the oldest in Trieste. It has a very high ceiling, the bar looks fantastic and leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food and drinks are beautifully presented and delicious. There's a bookshop to the side of the café where you can also sit comfortably.

06/08/2026: We really wanted to visit the town of Prosecco and had heard about this restaurant. Sitting in a simple outdoor area, we felt very well looked after by the waiter and enjoyed a simple, good lunch. I especially liked the fresh mixed salad – it really was very fresh. The food on other guests' plates also looked good and plentiful. The trip is definitely worthwhile!

05/08/2026: Perfect spot where to eat after walking or running the "via napoleonica", or where to take your friends for some local food away from the city center! The food is good, the portions are fair, and the staff is nice. It is better to book a couple of hours in advance during the weekend.
