D Napoli Maestri Pizzaioli In Trieste

Friendly, average pizza, but €2 for a paper placemat and bagged cutlery seems really excessive to me.

At lunchtime, you can still get a table without a reservation. The staff was friendly, but a little distracted. The bruschetta pomodoro, thanks to the explosion of tomato flavor, was the best I've ever had. Unfortunately, the grilled calamari was a bit too tough and rubbery. The tiramisu, however, was good.

The "calamari fritti" is divine. Fresh, crispy. The fries are a large portion, enough for 2 people. I didn't have a reservation, but they found a place. Great place! Reasonable prices.

The service was truly excellent – ​​friendly, attentive, and helpful. The prices were also perfectly reasonable; both drinks and food were fairly priced. The pizzas had a good foundation: high-quality ingredients, thin crust, and good flavor in general. Unfortunately, the preparation and balance were severely lacking. The baking time seemed too short and simultaneously too hot, resulting in an unbalanced overall appearance. Furthermore, the pizzas were far too heavily topped. One pizza had what felt like 300g of mozzarella, making it resemble a large slice of cheese rather than a well-balanced pizza. The other was very runny due to the sauce and therefore quite wet. Additionally, the salami slices were extremely thick and cut in a very rustic style, which was somewhat overpowering in terms of flavor. Overall, the concept was solid with good ingredients and great service, but there's definitely room for improvement in the pizza preparation.

Top Margherita for a very good price

We ate a Margherita and it was phenomenal. For 8€ incredible. Service was excellent aswell and the food arrived very fast.
