06/12/2025: I went to Buffet L'Approdo for lunch. It was a fantastic experience: delicious and varied food, a very pleasant (and extremely friendly) atmosphere, and fair prices (I spent €17 for soup, a cordon bleau, and a dessert, which also included water, service charge, and bread). One of the ladies in particular was incredibly kind to my girlfriend and I: she explained the entire menu to us and gave us some excellent recommendations. Highly recommended (maybe make a reservation, as it's often very crowded).

02/12/2025: Cozy restaurant Excellent Friulano by the glass from Rosic (Cormons) The eggplant casserole as well as the rolls with salami, etc. taste very good.

31/10/2025: We ate wonderfully, from appetizer to dessert. The wine was recommended and truly excellent. The service was also impeccable, friendly and attentive. A place we'll remember and hope to return to soon. The prices are moderately high, but absolutely in line with the quantity (abundant) and, above all, the quality of the ingredients. Well done! 24/10/2025: The perfect place for seafood and... dessert lovers! The freshest ingredients are served in an original way, with delicious pairings of various fruits and elegant, eye-catching plating. The "Freddo" appetizer for two is worthy of a 10-star rating. The first and second courses, featuring seafood from various regions, are also excellent. I especially tried the Fregola with spider crab... perhaps even better than the one I had in Sardinia... or almost... 😉... Then definitely ask for the dessert menu... What can I say, the pastry chef is a man worth marrying... delicious and meticulously prepared, and I loved the "pie" format: not those giant slices you get at so many places, but small masterpieces!!! Not to mention the owner and waiter, who served us and explained the dishes with kindness and without being intrusive. The price is very fair. The only flaw... the parking is a bit far from Trieste and it's a narrow street... but nobody's perfect 😇...

28/10/2025: Very expensive and the food isn't even that great, just a show! Everything is unhealthy.

26/10/2025: We booked 4 friends for dinner, really one of the most delicious meat dishes, from appetizers to main courses. Unfortunately, the desserts disappointed us, considering the ambiance and flavors before, they are not worthy of the restaurant's reputation and instead of the highlight of the evening, there were only some desserts and too small portions for the money. The wine was good, unfortunately they were not attentive and poured us from the bottle, which was at the end and the two of us got quite a bit of wine in the glass. The waiter at the end at the cash register was also inappropriate for such a place and offer, as he behaved as if he had already finished his workday and that we were all friends from the street. It's a real shame because the whole experience was very good and the dishes worth visiting.

20/11/2025: On Saturday, November 15, 2025, a friend and I were looking for a typical Trieste place where we could eat a good hot ham sandwich and some other delicacies, as true Triestine people often do. Luckily, the 5 or 6 places we usually go to were all closed... it was 2:45 PM... I say fortunately because when we arrived at Barriera, we looked at each other and said together, "Let's go there," seeing everything open. We found all the staff professional, friendly, and welcoming, and they seated us with a smile. We immediately ordered 2 ham and eggplant sandwiches, which were amazing, 1 ham and gorgonzola, which was even better, 2 beers, and 300 grams of ham for home, since just the thought of having already finished it made your mouth water, and all at a very fair total price. We used to go to 5 or 6 places for years, now we'll only go to one place... "Salumeria a mano" Go there and you'll hit the mark. Congratulations to everyone Staff...Alessandro and Rea will be back to you very soon.

10/12/2025: I hate to give a negative review, especially since the atmosphere is very nice. Table service was very slow; after a 20-minute wait, I got up and left. The waiter (alone in the dining room) started serving tables full of people who had literally just arrived, ignoring me.

05/11/2025: A true Triestine treat that lets you truly experience traditional local cuisine. The Imperial Platter for Two is truly sublime, and I recommend it to couples. Tongue, cotechino, prosciutto, and many other delicacies! Of course, they also offer an excellent sandwich with hand-sliced ​​prosciutto and a drizzle of horseradish!

07/09/2025: A sure thing! After our first dinner together almost a year ago, we've become regulars! The atmosphere and staff are formal, yet at the same time absolutely friendly. The cuisine, to our personal taste, is impeccable, with refined ingredients and wines, all top-quality! It's exciting that the menu often offers at least one new dish to discover!

08/11/2025: Good food, really well-cooked and made with fresh ingredients. The service is provided by young, dynamic girls, perhaps sometimes so busy they forget a few things. Nice location. Prices are average.

05/11/2025: Absolutely delicious food at a lovely neighbourhood restaurant. We had a warm welcome and really enjoyed our lunch. Definitely check it out!
