31/03/2026: I couldn't wait to return after years away from Trieste. I was happy to have found Xiaohua again, always kind and welcoming. I had the opportunity to watch her prepare the ravioli, from the dough to the rolling out of the dough, and the preparation of the fillings with carefully selected ingredients. In addition to the ravioli, my friend and I really enjoyed the Lotus Flower soup, curry rice, crispy duck, and beef with onions. There's plenty of choice, even for vegetarians. Open only for dinner, it's not large but artfully decorated and welcoming.

05/08/2026: I stopped by for a rebechin, as they say here in Trieste, and I loved it all. Rather than a rebechin, I ended up falling for the traditional cuisine, and for a first course, a simple pasta and beans dish, truly excellent. To continue, a nice pork shank accompanied by beans in tecia as a side dish, keeping with the theme, was truly delicious. I loved both the food and the ambiance in this truly innovative, wooden-framed restaurant. The service was perfect, the staff friendly and attentive. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good rebechin. I'll definitely be back!

16/07/2026: Unfortunately the food isn't great - a total of 3 miniscule scallops in a scallop pasta dish and an American size portion, not tasty. Despite the greenery around the outdoor tables, the noise from the nearby street makes the ambience subpar. Not recommended.

07/07/2026: They brought me here after telling me about the place several times. A quaint, informal, and rather noisy and lively place. A wide selection of dishes for all tastes, some of which are very tasty and unique. Good quality bulk wine. More than fair prices. Fast service and attentive, helpful staff. Good, in fact, very good.

12/09/2025: The place is quaint, and you can eat outside in the courtyard, shaded by the trees. Service is fast, and the owners are attentive and courteous. The food is all authentic and high-quality; the cured meats and cheeses are excellent, as are the vegetables and crostini. The desserts are delicious. The prices are very fair. Definitely worth trying again. Reservations are recommended, as it's always crowded during opening hours.

26/08/2025: A wonderful experience, for the food (excellent quality cured meats, cheeses, bread, and desserts!), for the setting (the courtyard of a country house... like being with family!), for the punctual service (very fast, despite the many guests!), for the serene and joyful atmosphere that enriched our holiday! The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, perfect for both a quiet evening and a relaxed social gathering. The staff is always friendly, professional, and helpful, with quick and friendly service that truly makes the difference. Prices are absolutely average, and the quality-price ratio is excellent. The outdoor tables are also very comfortable, especially on nice days, and there's parking nearby, which isn't always a given. A place I'd happily recommend for an aperitif with friends or simply to spend some time in a pleasant atmosphere.

26/06/2026: I already knew I Maestri and had fond memories of it, which is why the episode left me even more perplexed. I was a guest with a reservation for two at 8:30 PM. Unfortunately, my train was delayed, so the restaurant was notified by phone: the understanding was that we would try to arrive by 9 PM, when the kitchen closed. When we couldn't, we ended up not showing up. An unpleasant mix-up, certainly. No one denies it. But the real highlight came later, when the owner decided to call to yell, accuse, and complain in an aggressive tone, turning a reservation cancelled due to a train delay into a dress rehearsal for a nervous breakdown. I would have understood the annoyance, a criticism, even a curt reprimand. I understand much less the need to launch into a frantic phone tirade, as if two missed table settings automatically authorized the suspension of good manners. A shame, because I fondly remembered the restaurant. Now I will remember it above all for the unexpected post-booking service: unwanted, shouted at, and definitely more indigestible than any bill.

25/06/2026: We finally managed to get a reservation at this small seafood restaurant in Trieste. The fish was incredibly fresh, and some dishes were original in their combinations. The owner is very kind and friendly; it was very hot, so she brought me a fan. A very positive experience, fair prices.

29/05/2026: A very charming and well-kept place, perfect for a lovely evening! Rich and beautifully presented platters, traditional cuisine, and truly delicious sandwiches. The polenta, cheeses, and traditional cured meats are also excellent. Special mention goes to the attentive service given to a colleague of ours with food intolerances: they found a suitable solution, allowing him to enjoy his dinner without any problems. Good cocktails and a pleasant atmosphere. Recommended!

24/06/2026: Very nice service, it wasn't crowded at all, the only thing you could get into if you really wanted to was that the menu was only two pages. But "sag schon", what was on the menu, was first class. I would go back anytime.
