17/06/2025: My daughter and I were in Trieste this weekend and went to lunch at this restaurant and we were THRILLED BY EVERYTHING. The place is very nice and clean. The service from Franco and his staff is impeccable. We ordered spaghetti with clams and spaghetti with lobster and fried calamari: everything was delicious but the fried calamari was 110 AND PRAISE!!! I have never eaten fried fish this good! It melts in your mouth! We ate so well that we went back the next day for dinner. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend going to eat at this restaurant in my opinion the best in Trieste! 19/07/2025: A true gem in Trieste! There were four of us and we had a wonderful time. The owner welcomed us with great courtesy and reserved a table for us on a small, intimate and charming terrace—perfect for a quiet, meticulously prepared dinner. He recommended dishes and wines with passion, expertise, and a deep culinary knowledge. Each dish was carefully described, detailing the ingredients, their provenance, and pairings, transforming the dinner into a true gastronomic journey. Everything was presented with great care and respect for tradition, but also with a touch of creativity. A special thanks to Federico, the waiter who looked after us throughout the evening with professionalism and discretion: young, kind, always smiling, never intrusive. Excellent food, impeccable service, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Prices were appropriate for the quality of the food, the expertise of the staff, and the attention we received. Absolutely a well-deserved 5 stars. We will definitely be back!

23/07/2025: Everything is perfect except for the price which was changed. They tried to charge us for food and drinks we did not consume. When we reacted, aware that they could not correct the bill, they brought an even bigger bill. Bad impression because the fish was fresh, tasty and nicely prepared.

25/06/2025: It is located in a non-tourist area of ​​Trieste and it is a Casa del Popolo not a restaurant and therefore the menu proposals are substantially linked to the availability of fish. For example, we found a delicious and well-made octopus salad that the very kind girl who served us proposed as an appetizer. Followed by two first courses, one with clams and another tagliatelle with fish sauce. Finally, quite full, we missed a mixed fried seafood and a side dish of very fresh, sautéed spinach. The portions are abundant and the cuisine is well-prepared. It was an excellent experience. Reasonable prices (70 € for two, wine and drinks included).

11/06/2025: It's the oldest coffee house in Trieste with an impressive interior that stays untouched for two centuries. So classy and chic! I was utterly amazed how friendly personnel is - engaging with guests in down to earth and friendly manner, making everyone instantly welcomed. The list of drinks and coffees is impressive, but as it was a hot spring day outdoors some of us opted for spritz - the one with cherry liqueur (not the aperol one) was simply D I V I N E .

24/05/2025: I had a wonderful experience at this charming café. The staff were polite and welcoming. Their croissants, mini pizza's, macaroni—absolutely stunning! The croissants had chocolate and fruity filling which complete flavour of the dough, while the macaroni was delicate, creamy, and full of flavor. Mini pizza was soft and fluffy with generous amount of cheese. It’s rare to find a place that gets both sweet and savory so right. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy spot with top-notch service and delicious food.

23/05/2025: A dream for celiacs and special diets. Everything is gluten-free. Sweet and savory pastries, bakery, extremely well presented. The desserts are aesthetically elegant and perfect and basically good. The pastiera honestly didn't satisfy me very much (inside there was 80% red rice, and ricotta practically absorbed by the rice) Overall excellent Pastry. Really wide choice!! Prices a bit high, but considering the central location, it's understandable

05/07/2025: Extremely rude. I would suggest giving your business to someone else. Very unfriendly. I think I would be generous if I said that they gave us 3 seconds to speak to them. There’s being weary of tourists, and then there’s just being a straight up unkind human. Do better because the rest of the restaurants around you have been nothing but lovely. Absolute waste of time.

16/07/2025: A very friendly chef who also spoke good German. The small dining room is very charmingly decorated, with references to Trieste's Austrian history. The food was very good, as was the overall impression of the restaurant. I would go back and highly recommend it.
