24/06/2026: Very nice service, it wasn't crowded at all, the only thing you could get into if you really wanted to was that the menu was only two pages. But "sag schon", what was on the menu, was first class. I would go back anytime.

16/05/2026: A quaint little place, with limited seating, and very good food. Friendly and attentive staff. The menu is listed verbally by the owner, so you'll have to ask for the price of each course; it's not the best.

23/12/2025: They specifically ordered this ice cream, I liked everything, it was delicious. Three liquid with two spikes came out to 10 euros. Pear - delicious and unusual, cherry, walnut, pistachio and strachitelo - in order of preference. Very tasty and the service is pleasant 🤗

13/05/2026: This is a restaurant with retro decor. It is a friendly local place but service is vety efficient.
They have a small menu but with help from the waiting staff we made good choices. The pasta dish was very tasty. We followed with beef and pork, both regional dishes and very good, served with nice vegetables. Wine selection also very good. I would reccomend this restaurant.
09/05/2026: I stopped at this restaurant during a brief stop in Trieste. The staff was welcoming and friendly. The dishes are carefully prepared and the ingredients are excellent. They also offer vegetarian options. The kombucha is excellent and recommended as a lunchtime accompaniment.

30/06/2026: This restaurant is a disaster, and it's an absolute mystery how they made it into the Michelin Guide. The waiter was incredibly arrogant when we made our reservation for the next day. The service that evening was abysmal. The side dish for the fish of the day was listed as potatoes, but they were missing. When we complained, we were told they should have been ordered separately. Oily fried potatoes arrived after we had already finished the fish. The staff didn't even notice our hasty departure or that we were asking for the bill. I've never encountered such a restaurant in the Michelin Guide. The good reviews are completely incomprehensible. There are far better restaurants in Trieste. Never again!
26/06/2026: Amazingly fresh seafood. Highlights are the spider crab, seafood soup and grilled squid.

09/02/2026: It was a nice winter dinner at the end of the year in Modesto 😌 The pizza was delicious. One can choose the "tipo di farina" that is the type of flour for the pizza dough (only 2€ extra). The atmosphere was cozy and warm. We enjoyed the desserts too (torta della nonna, crema catalana). The decoration with ship models is charming. Overall, it was a wonderful experience in Modesto. I strongly recommend this pizzeria. 🙃
28/12/2025: The food was excellent, but unfortunately there were some minor misunderstandings with the waitress! These were later resolved.

17/07/2026: Absolutely delicious food and a great atmosphere, plus very pleasant service. The only thing I could criticize would be the portion sizes of the gnocchi dishes. I could have easily eaten 10 more plates of the gnocchi pesto zucchini!
16/07/2026: Had a delicious meal among the Italians; the truffle pizza and the calamari were fantastic. The service was nice too, even though the place was packed. Highly recommended!

The service was fast, welcoming, and willing to listen and offer advice.
We had Frico, bigoli, and caldarroste pasta for dinner. The atmosphere was quiet and well-organized. Excellent food. Recommended.
