02/11/2025: An interesting lunch, featuring high-quality ingredients, well-prepared dishes, and a good selection of wines. The restaurant is informal yet elegant, and overall cleanliness is good.
I tried a raw fish dish, a baked sea bream, and a scampi busara. Overall, everything was pleasant, but there were a few details that could be improved: the raw fish, the scampi, prawns, scallops, and scallops weren't cleaned properly; the casing had been partially removed, or in some cases not at all. Anyone who doesn't know this risks eating the whole thing without even realizing it.
The baked sea bream was also served whole, without filleting: for those who aren't familiar with cleaning fish, this can make the tasting a bit tricky.

04/10/2025: Honestly, the food seemed tasteless, very dry and disjointed, as did the sandwiches made with a type of bread unsuitable for frico, the polenta crostini weren't exceptional, and finally the frico dish was small in quantity. The prices were normal, but in line with what was stated. The service could be greatly improved. Perhaps a place better suited to an aperitif than a meal. Nothing extraordinary.

05/12/2025: I was hesitant to eat Sicilian food in Trieste, but I had to change my mind. I had a really good pasta with Sardinian sauce. After all, the owners are Sicilian through and through!

22/11/2025: I come to Agria often, and I've come to consider Pancrazio an accomplice to my binge eating. He's a welcoming person, and the chef is impressive: the mixed antipasto is always an invitation to indulge, the fettuccine with mushrooms and truffles disappears on their own, the steak is a must, and the potatoes... an addiction. Pancrazio, say hello to the chef for me: together, you're a dangerous team for those who love to eat well!
12/11/2025: I had read very positive reviews but I can confirm that it is even better, from the food to the service to the environment, everything is perfect 👍🏻 last but not least, the tiramisu 😋 really, congratulations, I will 100% return even if I am not from the area❤️

14/12/2025: Café Tommaseo impresses with its elegance and typical Viennese charm.
Unfortunately, the seating (inside the café) is quite cramped.
The service staff could be a bit more attentive and friendly.
The selection of desserts is good, but it falls far short of Austrian confectionery standards.
The issues mentioned are minor and shouldn't deter anyone from visiting; Café Tommaseo is always worth a visit.

08/11/2025: If you want something local, real, incredibly good, completely unique, fantastic service and run by people who love what they do…then choose this place. We wish we had a larger appetite for more dishes because they all were fantastic. The fritto misto was perfectly fried and salted, the gnocchi with fish was tender with a wonderful broth, the paccheri with straciatella was out of this world good! The house wine was delicious…and the dolce?? A raspberry, fried pear, whipped cream and biscotti “tiramisu”??? Worth every single incredible bite. We will be back every time we are in Trieste.
