25/03/2026: We love this place. Like going home for a well cooked supper. Love all the pasta dishes and then we usually share a roasted fresh fish. Perfect meal. It’s also lovely to be served by a pleasant friendly waiter with two sweet dogs - one under the counter and one asleep on the sofa - just like being in someone’s house (who is a very good cook). Go. Enjoy.

24/03/2026: We dropped by spontaneously and, despite not having a reservation, were given a lovely little table by the window. The atmosphere was enchanting, and we felt truly welcome. We felt like we were experiencing authentic Trieste cuisine. The service was excellent! The food felt like being invited to a friend's house. Very tasty, but not fancy. The pasta was perfectly cooked and homemade. The wine was superb. We had a wonderful evening and would definitely come back again :))

23/12/2025: They specifically ordered this ice cream, I liked everything, it was delicious. Three liquid with two spikes came out to 10 euros. Pear - delicious and unusual, cherry, walnut, pistachio and strachitelo - in order of preference. Very tasty and the service is pleasant 🤗

14/04/2026: A wonderful surprise. The dishes are truly well-crafted, and the seafood flavor is enhanced. The gratinated shellfish appetizer (razor clams and scallops) is excellent, as are the seafood risotto, the eggless fettuccine with shrimp, and the seafood soup with polenta. The service was courteous and attentive. Finally, a special mention goes to the house white wine, provided exclusively to the restaurant by a local producer. If you're in Trieste, definitely try it.

13/04/2026: Your customers for over TWENTY years, we live in the center of Trieste among the three historic cafés you manage. At Caffè Tommaseo, a family lunch we cared deeply about was completely RUINED. We are still in disbelief at the RUDENESS, ARROGANCE, and utter INABILITY of the "waitress" (young, short, skinny, dark-haired, and with her hair tied back) and the total disinterest in resolving the unfortunate situation on the part of the "matron" (blonde bob-haired). Among all this DILETTANTISM and INCOMPETENCE, our only exception is the waiter, a kind and always smiling, tall, dark-haired man. Faced with such INADEQUACY, having known us for years, he felt extremely EMBARRASSED by how we were treated, apologizing, even though he was not to blame!

22/04/2026: We had dinner with friends and had a wonderful time. The place was extremely clean, the cuisine was typical local, and the timing between courses was perfect. We had the pappardelle with wild boar, superb! The portion was enormous (in a good way 😋). The mixed grill was also excellent and plentiful. The owner, who personally served us, is a very nice person. Compliments also to the chef, although I didn't meet him. A special heartfelt thanks goes to the couple Angelo and Rossella (exquisite people ✨) who invited us. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back in the future. Thank you 😊

30/03/2026: This restaurant, just steps from the city center, offers some of Trieste's signature dishes. The service is attentive and friendly, with detailed explanations of the dishes and wines. The price is more than reasonable for the quality of the ingredients and the service. The food is good and tasty.

21/03/2026: Casa del Popolo – which, as the name suggests, means 'House of the People'. It's a cosy, friendly place with truly delicious food and the most welcoming staff we've met in Trieste. We arrived quite early, and the fantastic waitress who welcomed us was incredibly friendly, instantly solving our problem of being too hungry. We got some delicious antipasti until the whole place came alive. All the food we've got it's worth climbing the hill; it's worth the price, and it's worth every euro cent. If you spend some time in Trieste, let's get some fully authentic triesten seafood here. Tutto bene! ❤️ Grazie mille! ❤️
