We had dinner here with the family. The food was delicious, all freshly prepared. The fish was incredibly fresh and typical. The staff who served us were simply exquisite, incredibly kind and genuinely friendly. Highly recommended, and compliments to both the owner and the staff. We had a wonderful time. I'd been hearing about this historic osteria for a while, and finally had the chance to try it.
The atmosphere is immediately familiar, simple, and authentic. The staff is truly kind and professional, attentive without being intrusive.
The quality of the fish is undeniably excellent: fresh, well-prepared ingredients. It's no coincidence that we booked well in advance, as the place is always very busy.
The only thing that left me perplexed was the prices. Considering it's an osteria, with a deliberately simple and homey atmosphere, the prices are quite high. To give you an idea: a single portion of sea bass with a side of potatoes, which we shared between four of us (so just a taste), cost €60—figures that are hard to find even in mid- to high-end restaurants.
In short, if you're looking for a simple and authentic atmosphere, it can be a good choice, but it's worth keeping an eye on the bill. It almost makes you think that, after the closure of some historic restaurants, eating fish in Trieste is becoming a small luxury.

The most immediately noticeable feature of this quaint Trieste seafood restaurant is undoubtedly the unique atmosphere, evident in the interiors, which I presume have remained unchanged over the last 40-50 years, dominated by a stunning refrigerator.
The dishes are opulent and the food is excellent, but when I was there, perhaps they overdid the scampi, so generous in size that they were reminiscent of frozen products.
The creamed cod served with croutons and the fried calamari were excellent.
The service is always attentive and attentive.
The price is reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food.
Parking in the area is not easy.

Fresh and tasty food. Five of us spent €323 (3 appetizers, 3 first courses (scampi alla buzara), 3 second courses (fried fish, sole, and scampi), 1 bottle of prosecco, 1 bottle of white wine, 2 bottles of water, 3 coffees, and 1 Terrano liqueur.

Special birthday lunch. A historic restaurant in Servola, known primarily for its excellent cod, but everything else was delicious, too. Despite it being a Thursday, it was packed, but the service was quick and friendly. The photos of the dishes speak for themselves. Recommended!
