03/10/2025: Pizzeria too famous for Ok pizza! There are much better ones in Trieste! The pizza guy shouts, the fights spill out non-stop, the other waiters act like it's the most normal thing! Extremely strange atmosphere, I would never go there again or recommend it

14/10/2025: We had an amazing lunch here one Saturday afternoon quality was top notch, the service was professional and attentive, and the setting was just lovely. The seafood lasagna was a real stand out, although all the dishes were absolutely delicious.

22/11/2025: This was our first time at this restaurant. We went to try the fish, which we had high expectations for based on what we'd heard. We can say it's worth a visit for the fish. PS: The wait between courses can be a bit long, so be patient.

05/12/2025: Osteria da Marino is one of the best places to eat in Trieste, we could say, if it weren't for the fact that I only went to six restaurants, but anyway, it was my favorite. The service was spectacular; they found me a comfortable table despite the relatively small size of the place and the fact that I was alone, which is always a challenge for good restaurants. I ordered a goulash or ragù (whatever it's called) that was amazing, 8.5/10. I ordered a glass of wine that would complement the food, and it did. And best of all: they were playing great music! From Radiohead to Arctic Monkeys, including Bowie and Jack White! Music is so important in these public spaces; in that respect, a 10 out of 10. Autumn 2025.

18/11/2025: Osteria da Marino absolutely disarmed me. When you walk in, you see a humble, technically limited space, simple to the point where you don’t expect much. And that’s exactly why the impact is so strong: from a place like this, you do NOT expect food of this level. Their menu is short but brilliant. Every dish is executed with an incredibly gentle, precise and confident hand. Seasoning is minimal, yet so perfectly judged that the flavours remain clean, pure and beautifully balanced. This kind of cooking comes only from someone who truly knows what they’re doing, and who trusts the quality of their ingredients. Gentle seasoning reveals everything, the hand, the skill, the truth. This place is a true gem for gourmets, for those who eat with their heart and appreciate nuance. For me, this was genuine food for the soul. A modest space, a short menu, and unexpectedly outstanding cooking. As a hospitality professional, they genuinely made me stop and think about every bite. Thank you!

07/12/2025: I've been going to this restaurant for 50 years under various managements, but I have to say that under the current management, the food isn't good...unfortunately, it's become a tourist hotspot. Let's hope it improves.

07/12/2025: An excellent restaurant specializing in seafood, but also serving meat dishes. The pergola-covered terrace offers a stunning sea view. Situated beneath the Vittoria lighthouse, it offers a distinctive local menu, local wines, impeccable service, and impeccable cuisine.

23/11/2025: We arrived for lunch after calling to see if there was room. An employee (I think the owner) showed us a seat after a somewhat rough welcome. As soon as we were at the table, he didn't even let us sit down and asked what we wanted to drink. "Hold on, let's see what we have." Very rudely, he told us they only served fish. I replied that I don't eat fish, but my wife does. In response, he told us they served fish from the appetizer to the end, without even offering a side dish or any other option. He shrugged his shoulders and made it clear it wasn't his problem. We had no choice but to walk away, say goodbye, and he didn't even look at us.

18/06/2025: Many restaurants in Trieste have a strange habit (from a non-Italian perspective) of working short hours in the morning, taking a long break during the day, and working evenings. In other words, at approximately 3 PM you don't have many options and you go to whichever restaurant is open. That is the main reason we chose this restaurant. The pizza we ate was okay, but nothing to write home about (the crust was almost tasteless, and the toppings weren't made from the best ingredients, especially the mozzarella cheese). The service was okay but nothing fancy, and the overall experience was: "it was okay, but..."

17/10/2025: A feast for the eyes and the palate. The location is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the dishes are spectacular, whether you're ordering a snack or lunch. You can choose a first or second course, or opt for one of the three set menus that include a first course, second course, drink, and coffee. Either way, you'll always leave satisfied!

27/08/2025: Very tasty food, large portions, a wonderful view from the restaurant, beautiful surroundings, and plenty of greenery. We ordered the grilled mixed meat and sliced ​​horse meat with ricotta cheese and mushrooms, bread, fries, salad, and drinks. A small downside: After arriving, we sat for 10-15 minutes without the waiter's attention. Overall, I recommend this restaurant.

13/11/2025: This time, I was completely sold on the trattoria in every way. A special mention goes to the waiters. They were all very kind and helpful, and to the choice of only having wines from nearby wineries. Otherwise, everything was truly good, and the prices were fair. The cover charge could perhaps be lower, but they were still good!

08/11/2025: I think the chef mistook the pasticcio for a nearly undrinkable mess. The gnocchi with goulash were decent. They're passing off a wine as Terrano when it's definitely not. We stopped right away. On a positive note, the pasticcio was deducted from the bill. We would have much preferred to pay for a well-executed dish, not a hastily cobbled together one. Experience teaches us!
