28/06/2025: Really nice place located right in the center. Super welcoming staff, smiling and always available. The food is of excellent quality, with a wide choice and with traditional local dishes.

21/06/2025: Nice, unique place… excellent herb tortelli and roast pork, excellent platter too… a good bottle of Sangiovese and off we go… perfect evening. Really kind and helpful staff.

05/07/2025: We had a wonderful experience: Gnocchi with snails Spaghetti w oysters and coconut excellent combination! Eggplant Trout, which as usual I found too salty but my husband didn’t. A very pleasant orange wine - not too funky. Can’t think of any negatives I would definitely recommend and certainly go back to.

27/06/2025: The same advice from the jovial lawyer from Parma that had made me discover La Valle, this time led me to the Cortex Bistrot. From the green hills above Fidenza to the narrow streets of the center of Parma, warmed by the rays of the sun of the first, real, days of summer. Inside, however, it is nice, an informal environment between shelves of books and bottles that celebrate past uncorkings, the girls who welcomed us and took care of us always patient and courteous, even though we were a large company and perhaps with a few too many requests. I really liked the cuisine of Cortex, articulated without being excessive, fresh and original in the choice of ingredients with a result always well-centered, you can find delicacy where perhaps you would expect intensity, or the exact opposite. I put “𝑝𝑒𝑝𝑒 𝑏𝑢𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑜, 𝑎𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑎𝑔𝑖, 𝑐𝑎𝑣𝑖𝑎𝑙𝑒 𝑑𝑖𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑎, 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑢𝑔𝑎” in first place along with “𝑐𝑖𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑎, 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑡𝑒́, 𝑣𝑖𝑛 Hello, dear friend, extraordinary starter the “𝑧𝑢𝑐𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑒 𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑎 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑑𝑖𝑑 𝑑𝑖𝑑, “𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑜𝑛, 𝑏𝑜𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑔𝑎”. Since I lacked the courage, I chose “𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑙𝑜, 𝑔𝑎𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑖, 𝑝𝑖𝑠𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑖, 𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑟𝑦” instead of “𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑝𝑝𝑎, 𝑠𝑒𝑝𝑝𝑖𝑎, 𝑓𝑎𝑔𝑖𝑜𝑙𝑖 𝑑𝑒𝑙𝑙’𝑜𝑐𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑜”, but who wouldn't? he had my paranoias he then called it spectacular. The wine list was a real playground, to satisfy every possible desire without breaking the bank. As a company alcoholic, colleagues, on average 20 years younger, gave me carte blanche and I, as an elderly person, took advantage of it. 17/08/2025: Lunch with a stunning view of the hills. From appetizer to dessert, everything was delicious, and the price was reasonable. A gem in our Apennines.

17/08/2025: The place is truly immersed in nature. The road leading to the osteria ends there! The panoramic view during lunch is beautiful. Delicious dishes. Everything is homemade, and you can taste it! Even the homemade desserts! I will definitely be back, and I'm happy to!

10/08/2025: Beautiful place, near the Carrega woods. It's a shame that they'd promised us several gluten-free and lactose-free options over the phone the week before, but instead, only mixed cured meats, no first courses, and no grilled or sliced meats, which, by the way, are made on cast iron... It's fine not to lose customers, but this way, in my opinion, is a joke... Furthermore, the lady who took the order seemed annoyed by this. The younger girl, however, was very kind and helpful. I don't think I'll try it again; it's a shame because the post deserves better.

21/08/2025: A very special place... we went after reading her positive review... and I must say we were absolutely not disappointed. The dining room with large windows is next to a small, cool, and very characteristic stream... the dishes are influenced by Ligurian cuisine. The pansotti (tortelli) with a soft ricotta filling were excellent, and the porcini mushrooms with tagliatelle and fried food were also very good. The homemade desserts were very good and beautifully plated, and the service was courteous and fast. We'll be back.

19/08/2025: This is a wonderful place! An old mill, meandering stream with dinning room 'sitting' just above the flowing water. Interesting decor, sparkling clean. Now the food! Wonderful, you can't find fault. All home made, sourced locally, wine canteen where you can browse and choose your wine, you can have a superbly good Fiorentina if you want read meat but plenty of other options. Service! Very kind, helpful, thoughtful. The owner takes pride in his work and it is this that makes it one of these unforgettable experiences! Thank you Gino and staff! We'll keep coming back for more! (Our price range has a lot to do with the wine we choose)

31/07/2025: On July 29th, I had lunch at the refuge. The service was friendly and quick, but the portion of the leek tortelli (two of them, like small, thin focaccias for ten euros) was too small, even though they were excellent. The place is beautiful, especially the surroundings, and has long been a household name. You can pack a picnic lunch, surrounded by greenery, and leave the place clean.

24/08/2025: Super digestible pizza, excellent cuisine, from torta fritta to tagliata, from tortelli to semifreddo to nougat, puff pastry with chantilly cream, everything excellent, a pleasure for the palate and total relaxation. Barbara is the center of hospitality, Michele is truly a genuine person and an incredible worker, you have to come in and calm down, only then can you fully enjoy the whole environment and whether dinner or lunch, it is always and I repeat always an excellent experience. I recommend it to anyone who wants a family moment and excellent cuisine from appetizer to dessert. 🔝🔝🔝🔝

06/08/2025: We spent two days in Parma and asked a friend for a recommendation for a place to eat, and he recommended this restaurant... simply excellent, we had divine food, and the service was also very good. The staff—family-run, I believe—were very friendly and welcoming. I hope to return soon. Highly recommended.

02/08/2025: A nice and comfortable place in the center of Parma. It's a bit pricey and the quality isn't exceptional, not so much in terms of the ingredients but rather the preparation. The staff is a bit cold: the person who served us didn't crack a smile the entire evening.
