14/04/2026: We arrived from the mountains of Bergamo, "Colli di San Fermo," 1100 meters above sea level, to visit the beautiful Fontanellato in a 43-year-old camper van named "scassino" (but inside it feels like Cartago in 2026 ;-) ). In the evening, hungry, we asked the locals for help, and they recommended this restaurant. We were amazed, it felt just like being by the sea: delicious spaghetti with clams, made with the freshest clams, crispy and dry fried fish, and a fish appetizer that smelled of freshly caught seafood. The pizza was enormous, made with two dough balls, crispy, flavorful, and very well cooked. Another noteworthy detail was a very mysterious character who was wandering among the tables, thin, tall, and very curious to know how we were getting on. We kept telling him that everything was delicious and that not only had the beautiful fortress amazed us, but also this welcoming, family-friendly restaurant with truly jaw-dropping cuisine! To our surprise, we found the curious and very intuitive guy, with a New Dandy style reminiscent of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's character (if he'd had a pipe), at the cash register!?! In the end, it was the owner :-), who, with immense pleasure and in a friendly and welcoming spirit, showed us an already honest bill, giving us an additional discount for having arrived safe and sound from 1100m to Fontanellato in a patched-up 1982 Ford Transit camper Pilote, less than 5m long. Thank you so much, Mr. Sherlock, we will remember you and all the welcoming and kind staff. Until the next "burglary" adventure! 28/06/2025: Fantastisk mange ulike øl-sorter, Hoegaarden, Goode island og Leffe med flere. Veldig bra musikk, og som kunne vært enda nedre hvis ikke remicxed versjon! Det kan hende ar betjeningen kjeder seg tidlig på kvelde. Og da ser de deg ikke helt, hvis du trenger en ny øl i ferievarmen:) .

16/11/2025: I'm returning to this farmhouse restaurant for the fifth time, and as always, we're all incredibly satisfied with what we've tried. The ceppelletti in brodo are excellent, the braised Angus beef (off the menu) sourced locally from their own farm is truly exceptional, and the almond and chocolate parfait, etc., to finish. Besides the quality, the outdoor seating is beautiful on a nice day, but the inside is also very welcoming, warm, and a pleasant place to spend an afternoon with friends. The owner is kind and attentive in his service. See you soon!

12/02/2026: Went three weeks ago for a birthday. The atmosphere is great, quiet, and the food is also very good and plentiful. The wait is a bit long. Four stars only for the bread and carafe wine, which weren't excellent. Antonia's dessert was really good. Recommended!

19/01/2026: The atmosphere and service are very homey and pleasant. This osteria is a place where you can enjoy the tranquility and feel at home. I shared a platter of salami as an appetizer, followed by lasagna and shank scalloped with potatoes. I really appreciated the authenticity of both the owners and the food served, which was unpretentious. The desserts, however, need some updating; in my opinion, they weren't up to par with the rest of the menu (I tried a tart and tiramisu). The value for money was fairly average compared to other osterias in the area.

21/02/2026: Unfortunately, sometimes it only takes one detail to lose every positive element, which I'll leave out because it's impossible to be fooled. Drinks and Bargnolino = €19.50 on a €35 total bill (tagliatelle with salami, green salad, and water). How can you let yourself be ripped off? It's alone on a Wednesday evening. Attached is the menu, which looks well-designed and reasonably priced. The problem is that if you give certain managers a chance, they exploit it to deceive you and then write the total on the receipt so you don't know what happened. Be careful with the little bottle of Bargnolino the innkeeper puts on the table: it's a Trojan horse to rob you at the register. The same goes for the carafe wine: are you charging me for it as a whole bottle??? I don't know, I'd have gone back, but I don't like getting it there, nor do I like hitting people. Astuteness destroys a man. Never again will I go to a place like that.

20/03/2026: Tortafritta in all its varieties is divine! Our favorites are the tortafritta filled with gorgonzola and the classic variety, with their spectacular cured meats... prosciutto crudo, culatello... spalla cotta di San Secondo... all top-notch... accompanied by guardiniera and parmesan pâté... and what can I say, their homemade gelato is the icing on the cake. The place is easy-going, well-organized, and the staff is very, very friendly. There's even a little shop where you can take home their specialties. For those of us who don't live nearby, it's a shame they only serve tortafritta on Friday and Saturday evenings, but... we're happy to organize that! I forgot... excellent value for money!
