04/08/2024: Very nice restaurant in lovely environment. French oriented kitchen.

04/08/2024: We had dinner on Tuesday 30th July in the most characteristic place in Parma in my opinion because it is in the shadow of the Cathedral and the Baptistery in the most Romanesque square in the city. I recommend dining outdoors if the weather permits. The tables outside and the mild evening gave it that extra touch. The food is excellent in the variety of typical dishes of Parma cuisine but also fish. We got 2 appetizers. The goat cheese and beetroot hemispheres with pistachio crumble with sweet and sour onion and cucumbers were really good. But the excellence for the delicacy of the dish were the squid tagliatelle, spirulina mayonnaise with salicornia and currants. Then two first courses. Spaghetti alla guitar with clams, bread flavored with herbs and creamy basil... quite normal in flavours, perhaps we would have liked something more for the clams While the Cavatelli with redfish ragù, yellow datterino tomatoes and fried leeks were sublime in taste and overall flavours. A Franciacorta "Saten" accompanied everything worthily, finishing with a sweet lemon sorbet on limoncello sponge cake and light lemon cream. Coffee and bitters. The service is always prompt and the price is appropriate for the dishes and the location. A restaurant where you absolutely must dine if you want to take away a beautiful memory of Parma from the point of view of the palate but above all of the place and the atmosphere.

27/08/2024: Large and welcoming environment in "mountain" style. Everyone very kind and helpful. The "coal" pizza is absolutely worth trying, very scenic and characterized by greater digestibility. You can also choose the crunchy dough but not the wholemeal one. Ideal for families. Economic.

20/08/2024: Normal place, young and lively staff, pleasant. Sufficient food, I didn't find any wow dishes, in the diners the ladies are served first, which is not done. One of the courses was requested several times, probably forgotten. To be reviewed and improved.

24/08/2024: Knowledgeable, friendly, charming staff. Delicious meat and cheese plates to accompany delicious wines. Ask the staff for suggestions and you won’t be disappointed.

22/08/2024: My daughter and I recently went to Tabarro for drinks and also enjoyed a meat and cheese tray. If you’ve ever been to Parma, then you know the Parmensi are incredibly proud (as well they should be) of the products that come from their world-famous region. Our server was no exception as he described the individual items on our tray and explained to us how they got their Parmesan cheese, goat cheese, sausage, and ham from local farmers. He took just as much pride in explaining Italian wines too. I went on to see him kiss an old lady and then congratulate a couple (who were obviously patrons of the bar) on the beautiful newborn baby girl they were wheeling in a stroller. He knew half the passersby on this charming Parma street, so of course he would know his farmer and know his food. All of the servers were happy and the atmosphere was fun. The seating arrangements with the barrels and rustic linens was so Italian and endearing. What I’m saying is, this place is obviously a local gem, and if I lived in Parma and they would have me, I would be proud to call Tabarro my bar.

07/08/2024: I have always lived in Parma and I tried this restaurant as a birthday present for myself, with my partner. We opted to create 2 à la carte menus, one from land and one from sea. The quality of the products used is indisputable and the skill with which they are cooked and presented represents an added value that is not easy to find in another restaurant in Parma. Courteous, competent and discreet service, the sommelier was able to recommend the most suitable wines for our dishes. Given what was written previously and the pleasant additions from the kitchen, an expense of around €90 per person in 2024 is below the expense of restaurants of the same level. Unforgettable experience, we will definitely return.

25/08/2024: We were passing through and stopped at the rest area, the restaurant is right nearby so we took the opportunity to go and eat a pizza 🍕. I'm honest, it's been a long time since I ate it so good, large and well stuffed. Advised !!

24/07/2024: Con la mia famiglia siam venuti da Bari, ma negli ultimi mesi ho soggiornato personalmente qui a Parma e “visitando” e acquistando nelle varie botteghe Romani (nel centro della città), ma nella mia recentissima visita alla bottega “La Rocca”, la cordialità del personale è stato un dettaglio molto rilevante durante il mio acquisto, è stata semplicemente impeccabile e una stella va solo ed esclusivamente alla capacità dei salumieri nel saper vendere il prodotto, purtroppo non conosco i nomi ma una nota in più la meritano il ragazzo che ci ha serviti e molto probabilmente un suo superiore per la loro professionalità mista a informalità durante una breve ma piacevole chiacchierata sulla cucina parmigiana e le differenze culinarie tra nord e sud; ci ritornerò sicuramente e molto presto! Questa recensione non va al prodotto (la qualità è indiscutibile e imparagonabile), ma al personale, giovane, che molto spesso viene sottovalutato.

29/07/2024: Very sad note....I'm also a little sorry to write what follows. A glass of good Lambrusco but such a small quantity that I was ashamed for the innkeeper. The platter of cured meats and cheeses was excellent and almost stratospheric (especially the cheeses). I would have liked the mocetta not to be seasoned (my personal taste) but everything was above average, in fact high quality, the tortelli were good but after a platter like this everything remains basic. I'm really sorry for the amount of wine that must be defined as negligible 🍷 ......I say 2 fingers were enough, maybe even 1.5 more than the first line on the glass. 🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣🫣
