13/03/2026: Lunch break en route to Bologna, and it was wonderful! From the charcuterie board with torta fritta (the beetroot one was out of this world), the highlight of the day, "Giovanna's Spalla," with its smokiness enhanced by giardiniera (fresh pickled vegetables), and especially the anolini. An explosion of flavor that is irresistible for those who love Parmesan.
A special conclusion with a sampling of desserts: sbrisolona and zabaglione, and a tartlet with lemon cream and almond flakes.
Coffee from the moka pot, just like at home, and leaving is certainly a bit of a drag, but with a happy belly, the journey will certainly be quicker.

07/03/2026: Very good food, with unique and typical local dishes. The menu was limited (about thirty dishes).
Some dishes were broken on the sides, but the service was very good. The waiters were polite and friendly.
The atmosphere was nice, a little empty, but in a restaurant, it's the food that counts, not the location. The prices were reasonable and not excessive for the quantity and quality of the dishes. Also recommended for large groups.
10/02/2026: I was welcomed warmly and tasted typical local dishes that were well made and very tasty. If I ever have the chance to pass through the area again, I definitely know where I can stop to eat.

11/11/2025: In the heart of the historic village of Fontanellato, the villa restaurant will welcome you with kindness. It's actually a villa, and from the small square with its San Pietrini, you enter the bar area. It has two floors and an incredible, well-kept garden with a small castle 🏰.
In one of the rooms, we enjoyed a three-course set menu:
A very delicate and delicious puff pastry with mushrooms, a couple of tortelli (pumpkin, ricotta, and spinach), and finally, a berry culis and gelato. Franciacorta and Lambrusco wines. Excellent value.
The restaurant is good and, with a few small adjustments, could become excellent.
Parking is a downside, as the famous market is held on the 3rd Sunday of every month.
30/09/2025: A truly top-notch restaurant in every way. The location is welcoming and elegant. The service was impeccable, with glasses changing as the wine bottle changed, elegant tablecloths, and a round of artisanal bread. The dishes were tasty, beautifully presented, and well-prepared. Even the desserts were a true delight for the palate and the eye. Reasonable prices considering all of this.

We ate delicious homemade tortelli, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were very friendly... especially the waitress Maria!
06/03/2026: The food is decent and overall pleasant. The atmosphere is rather dated; with some renovations, it could become even more welcoming and enhance the overall experience.

25/11/2025: Family-run, a wonderful trattoria, where the high-quality food tempts the entire town, the aroma of its cooking fills the streets of the small village, and behind the stove is a truly wonderful woman who gives her all to impress those with a sweet tooth.

19/10/2025: As for the food, there's nothing to complain about. We ordered three appetizers and three different first courses, and both my friends and I were very satisfied. With water and a cover charge, we paid €30 each. What's definitely not good is the waitress, who's cold and, to say the least, unwelcoming. The trattoria, which is essentially a mix of old and new decor, has three bathrooms (women's, men's, and disabled), but they deliberately closed two of them so we could all use the disabled ones, which are inevitably, hygienically speaking, the dirtiest because they're inconvenient to use.

27/05/2025: Tipica trattoria rustica nella pianura parmense, che offre una cucina dignitosa, ma senza un guizzo particolare. Buoni i pisarei e fasoi e il polipo, normale la grigliata di maiale. I tortelli alla spalla cotta sapevano solo di formaggio, capisco che la spalla cotta ha un sapore delicato ma qui non e' prprio pervenuto. Personale gentile ed accogliente. Corretto il rapporto qualita'/prezzo

Tagliere misto molto discutibile con 4 fette di cotto qualsiasi, 4 fette di crudo qualsiasi, tutte tagliate molto male, 4 fette di salame non si sa che tipo, 4 fette di grana appoggiate sopra. I grissini e il pane nascosto sotto l'affettato, a che pro? Tra l'altro, pane per niente fresco. Qualità delle piadine, scarsissima. Mai più.

14/04/2025: Le titolari sono molto gentili ed ospitali, le camere sono lontane dai rumori del mondo in un agriturismo immerso nella natura, ottima la colazione semplice ma essenziale e buonissima la cena, anche lei molto semplice ma con tante piacevolissime sorprese (ottima la lasagna zucca e salsiccia)

cena in locale molto bello con i soffitti a volta e prodotti locali molto buoni.
Colazione con uova, salume, formaggio, torte varie, yogurt, succhi di frutta, latte, cappuccino o espresso da bar.
con la bella stagione penso sia molto più bello tutto.
