31/05/2026: We went yesterday on the recommendation of a local friend. The gelateria offers several unique flavors that lean toward the savory side. I haven't personally tried them, but my friends were pleasantly surprised by the taste. The gelato was delicious, and the chef was incredibly kind and willing to let you try the flavors if you're unsure. I highly recommend stopping by for some delicious gelato!

13/07/2026: Converted monastery. Some rooms are not easily accessible so be warned need to book appropriately with hotel. Food " fancy Nouvelle cuisine" rather than traditional Italian fare so be forewarned. Good wine list. Quiet small town convenient for Fidenza Parma area. Lovely Capuchin church next door and simple local bar for a coffee if don't need a full breakfast at front of hotel

06/05/2026: Visited for a wedding reception. It's certainly a curious place of considerable historical interest. Home to the monks whose hydraulic works reclaimed the surrounding land and made farming possible for centuries. It's also home to the accordion museum.

21/07/2026: This is not just a restaurant or a shop, it is a unique experience! With parmesan in various ages, you get to taste how they are different. Also the ham is just excellent!!! But the real difference make the dedicated owners and their lovely way to explain and guide you through your stay. It is worth the drive!

15/07/2026: We came here for a charcuterie tasting because it was recommended by a charcuterie shop in Langhirano where we took a guided tour. I have no complaints about the quality of the food, but for someone like me who lives in Parma, I found the prices of the dishes expensive. I don't think it's fair that a delicatessen, no matter how beautiful the location, but which serves at tables with plastic placemats and paper napkins, charges the same prices as a restaurant with white cotton tablecloths and napkins. The retail sale of cured meats and cheeses is even worse: all the prices are incredibly high, and, to top it all off, Parma ham sells for €49/kg and Felino salami for €48/kg!!! I can only recommend going elsewhere. *I'm adding the following after the Salumeria's response* I don't want to tell you what to do or not to do at home, but in my opinion, your arguments aren't really relevant to what I've written: you talk about prices at large-scale retail outlets and then at delicatessens (let's decide: either we compare them to supermarkets/hypermarkets or businesses similar to yours), you don't explain to me why a 35-month-old prosciutto crudo costs only 1 euro more than Felino salami (and I haven't found a Felino at this price in any local delicatessen, let alone a large-scale retail store), and I've even eaten in restaurants with white cotton tablecloths and a cover charge for less than 3.50 euros. 05/07/2026: Trattoria Oppici is a modern roadside trattoria near Bedonia with multiple dining rooms and outdoor seating. The menu features modern yet traditional dishes, generous portions, reasonable prices, and a professional staff.

17/05/2026: A truly superb Restaurant Just on the outskirts of Fidenza near Parma expertly run by Daniela, Simon and their team. Although they do local specialties very well ie using top quality charcuterie locally sourced and the most delicious Torta Fritta I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating, their forte is inventive dishes such as foie gras on brioche with a sweet wine reduction, grilled octopus, superb pasta dishes, gnocchi with seafood and so on all very delicious. Not only do they have plenty of wines from Italy to choose from but they even visit lots of small French vineyards in Burgundy and Champagne region and choose wines for their ever expanding wine list. Service is very professional but they retain a family run atmosphere, Large portions of very good food at the right price, in a very beautifully designed room. A must try if you are in the area, booking a must as they are very busy. Highly recommend!

26/03/2026: This restaurant has undoubtedly been one of the most talked-about in Parma in recent years (in a good way, of course), and a few weeks ago I understood why. The key words I found, from the location to the menu, were: simplicity and authenticity. The location is very intimate (there are only a few seats inside, so reservations are required well in advance), with an intimate, elegant atmosphere and soft lighting. It's ideal for a quiet dinner. The wait staff was truly kind, ready to offer advice and pamper you from the moment you sit down until the end of the meal. The menu is truly refined and focused on the pure exaltation of the finest ingredients. What struck me most is that there are no rules, no classifications or labels such as appetizer, first course, or second course; you choose the order in which you prefer to dine (in my case, I started with the second course and then continued with the first). I also really appreciated the simplicity of their approach, as if to convey that not many words are needed to describe their dishes; you have to try them. I had the quail (cooked perfectly, it's impossible not to mop up the sauce) and the spaghetti alla chitarra with game sauce (also excellent, the pasta was sublime, and the game was delicious). To finish, a banana dessert with guarana, if I'm not mistaken. Another thing I appreciated, and one I'd personally never seen, was that for some dishes there is a "standard" version and a "small" version (smaller in both portion and price). Personally, I really appreciated this because the portions are generally generous, allowing you to try multiple dishes without feeling too heavy. What I appreciated most was being surprised from start to finish; nothing is taken for granted, and it makes you realize how much thought goes into every single dish. Prices are absolutely in line with many other restaurants in Parma, but still completely justified given the work behind this wonderful project. We'll be back!
