05/02/2026: I stopped by and ordered a sandwich with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and prosciutto: truly delicious. The ingredients were fresh and well-balanced, but I was especially impressed by the bread dough: warm and fragrant, truly excellent. A very positive experience overall, although I found the prices perhaps 10% higher than expected. I would gladly return.

01/03/2026: Highly not recommended. Outstanding rudeness and arrogance. The owner brazenly refused me entry before I even opened my mouth, insisting the place was "for customers only." Despite my willingness to pay for the service, the situation escalated: she followed me out of the bar, insulting me and calling me an "idiot" in front of everyone passing by. Unacceptable and completely unprofessional behavior.

04/02/2026: More of a pub than a tavern, especially considering the not exactly affordable prices. The culinary offering is limited but honest in quality and quantity. The wine is excellent, the staff are friendly, and the place is intimate and comfortable.

11/12/2025: Excellent restaurant serving traditional regional cuisine. A platter of cured meats and cheeses is carefully prepared using excellent ingredients. The parmigiana is also good.

30/08/2025: Poor product quality: strong coffee with a burnt taste, mediocre (old) and expensive (€3) maritozzo, same story for the éclairs (vanilla, not cream, as we requested), rushed staff, poorly maintained restrooms. It's a shame because the gelato is really good.

08/09/2025: A true institution in Bologna. A very elegant venue, with top-notch professional service. They have an extensive wine cellar, perfectly suited to the setting, perfect for a business lunch or dinner with friends, but always in a fairly formal setting. Highly recommended!!

07/03/2026: Let's start with the positives: the place is beautiful and welcoming, the waiters are kind and helpful, but let's get to the sore point: we ate terribly. The passatelli in broth were so salty they were inedible, the grilled meat tasted stale, the grilled vegetables were cold from the fridge, the grilled tomino was cold and undercooked. At the end of the meal, we left almost everything, and my daughter said, "Lucky Dad, there was bread!" We reported this to the waiters, who were understanding and apologetic, but the bill remained the same. The coffee was good! In conclusion, we won't be returning, and we're sad because the place deserves it! Perhaps there's something in the kitchen that needs updating!

14/02/2026: Disappointing Valentine's Day dinner. Following the positive reviews for Valentine's Day last year, I decided to make a reservation. It's easy to imagine there was a special menu, although I wasn't told about it over the phone. We ordered a €15 appetizer that looked promising, but what arrived were ~50g of culatello, 2 fried gnocchi, 1 tablespoon of squacquerone, and 1 tablespoon of caramelized figs to share. When ordering, the waitress never mentioned that it wasn't enough for two (when in fact it would have been enough for one). We politely pointed out that we had higher hopes for the entrees, and were told that on Valentine's Day, appetizers aren't shared—an obvious unwritten rule of the restaurant that, mea culpa, I wasn't aware of, having always shared. The entrees were passable. We avoided venturing further after reading more reviews of the restaurant, which must have recently changed management.

21/02/2026: The music was far too loud, just a simple Spotify playlist. The wine was terrible. The atmosphere was very peculiar, a kind of rococo 2010 in poor taste: a painting of a nude woman, a red leather sofa, a "gothic" light fixture.

05/01/2026: SIMPLY AWKWARD We entered, encouraged by the waiter outside, who lured us in with, "A hot chocolate, guys?" We decided to go in: never could a decision have been more wrong. The hot chocolate served to us (and I emphasize that on the menu it's described as "ARTISAN"!) consisted of freshly mixed milk with a packet of commercially made supermarket mix, obviously of terrible quality. Not to mention the cream, which was anything but whipped. The result? A watery swill certainly worse than any hot chocolate I've ever had from a vending machine. I also asked for a red berry-flavored infusion, and after ensuring they had it, I was served a "hibiscus flower" infusion, obviously a sub-brand and undrinkable for my taste. All for the modest sum of €14.50 (€6.50 for "artisanal hot chocolate," €5 for the wrong infusion, and a completely unjustifiable €3 service charge). The only positive thing was the bathroom, which was spacious and fully equipped (though to get in, you had to forcefully lift the sliding door, which was anything but sliding). As for the rest, I repeat: simply embarrassing.

26/12/2025: I was very disappointed with the quality-price ratio of this place. The wait for a simple aperitivo was excessively long, well beyond any reasonable expectation, making the experience frustrating from the start. To make matters worse, the price for a bruschetta cut into quarters is absolutely outrageous: paying such a high price for such a small portion is sheer madness. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a good balance of quality, service, and price. There are many other, better options where the time and money spent are truly worth it.

31/01/2026: The place looks upscale when you walk in, but it's a buffet with lots of shared tables. I have to say the food isn't anything special, but considering the two-course menu, including a drink and bread, costs €13... I'd say it's worth it. But again, don't go expecting a gourmet meal. Go if you want to get full and pay little.

09/01/2026: Average food in a bustling underground location on the main drag. Very filling set menu for 13€ including primi, secondi, and drink (wine or water). The good was hit or miss. The meatballs with peas were very good but the chicken was bland. The white wine was satisfying but the red (a Lambrusco) was just fruit with no structure. In sum, come here fot a good meal for a fantastic price. Just don't expect to be blown away by the quality of the food.

01/08/2025: Oggi abbiamo deciso di mangiare le crescentine e siamo andati presso questo ristorante. Naturalmente non fa solo le crescentine. Parcheggio davanti al locale, ambiente pulito e carino con tavolini in veranda oltre che all'interno. Buone le crescentine, soffici e non troppo unte, buoni i salumi e lo squacquerone. La zuppa inglese non avrei messo le gocce di cioccolato. Lo consiglio.

19/07/2025: Posto carino e cibo discreto. Molto volgari i cartelli vicino al lago dei castori. Non so se posti dai proprietari del ristorante. Sconsigliato per famiglie con bambini. Io non intendo ritornarci.
