15/02/2026: A very charming, refined, and well-maintained atmosphere. Nicely set tables, and coat racks at the entrance. The restaurant is accessible by stairs or elevator. Very friendly and knowledgeable service. Delicious dishes, from appetizers to desserts. The paid parking in the basement of the hotel is super convenient. Overall, a positive experience!

05/02/2026: A real shame. The place has a lot of potential: the restaurant is very elegant, and the service was prompt and courteous. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the expectations created by the setting. The dishes are carefully presented (gourmet only in appearance), but the technical execution leaves much to be desired. Specifics: ​Octopus: too tough in texture. ​Beef carpaccio: difficult to chew, probably not properly aged. ​Bologna cutlet: the addition of truffle didn't save an overall bland dish. ​Side dish: fries arrived soft, not crispy. ​The only redeeming feature was the dessert, which was decent. I hope they rethink the kitchen management, because the location deserves better.

22/10/2025: Coffee €1.50 Empty savory pasta €1.80 I don't think there's much more to say. A very nice place after the renovation, but incredibly expensive. You can't always give up on everything. Use your brain! €1.80 for an empty savory pasta is shameful.

11/02/2026: This was absolutely and by far my worst experience with online shopping ever! After 9 days of delay, with no delivery updates and no valid tracking numbers, my order finally arrived and 11 out of 12 items were missing. Only one product showed up!!! Despite this, the order status was marked as “completed”, with no explanation of what happened to the rest of the order. What made it even worse was the complete lack of customer support. I sent four separate emails and never received a single response. On top of that, there is no English customer support, which makes resolving issues practically impossible for international customers. At this point, I honestly don’t know what I should do. This shows a complete lack of respect for customers. I am utterly shocked and extremely disappointed by IKEA.

09/12/2025: We entered with low expectations but were pleasantly surprised. The two of us had two dishes of the day: spaghetti with clams, excellent, and guanciale with potatoes, very good. The grilled vegetables and the pear with ice cream were delicious. The entrance is a bit confusing; the dining room is like a trattoria, but well-maintained, with tables spaced apart. The restrooms are clean. The service is courteous and informative. Be careful when exiting: cars drive by quickly.

30/11/2025: I was in the area for an appointment and was looking for a simple place for a business lunch, preferably with traditional cuisine, although that wasn't a requirement. The positive reviews and photos of the dishes had convinced me to try this place, but unfortunately, my experience didn't live up to expectations. We arrived at 1:00 PM and it took 18 minutes for the waitress (perhaps the owner or partner) to come and take our order. There must have been about 15 people there at that time. We chose two plates of spaghetti with tuna, a side of grilled vegetables, and a sparkling water. After another 10 minutes, the water arrived, but without bread, while the pasta wasn't served until 1:30 PM. The dish itself was a disappointment: it was cooked adequately, but tasted very bland. The preparation was dominated by stewed onion, while the tuna was reduced to half a can divided between two plates, practically invisible. After being left unattended again, at 1:45 PM we got up on our own to get coffee at the counter, to speed things up. I also asked to remove the side dish from my order, as it never arrived. I'm sorry to say this, but we won't be returning. The final bill was €13.50 each for a tasteless first course with too much onion, a 0.75-liter bottle of water split between us, and a coffee. Overall, a disappointing experience.

20/02/2026: Typical trattoria in terms of menu and ambiance. Service a bit slow. We were satisfied, however. Convenient parking.

14/02/2026: Historic place with a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. Good food. Very kind owner. The only downside was a young man waiting on the table all evening with his hands in his pockets. Such a lack of professionalism is inexplicable...it wasn't a pretty sight.

16/11/2025: Aside from the cold, unheated restaurant, we had to wait an hour and a half for a pizza that never arrived because we decided to cancel, leaving someone with intestinal problems starving. He wouldn't have been able to dine at 9:30 PM because they still had to put it in the oven. I had also booked three nights earlier for 8:00 PM, precisely to avoid waiting too long. When we got to the cash register, we asked for two separate bills, but they rudely told us that it wasn't possible because they usually only give one receipt. This would have been nothing if, when splitting the accounts, they had accepted payments from both parties. Unfortunately, they asked for a single payment because they said they couldn't give two change points (of a few cents). I'm really disappointed because I used to go to this place until three years ago and always had a great time. So I was shocked and will never return.

15/11/2025: I ate pizza... how can I describe it? Well, for me, it was a horrible experience. Both the pizza and the service were truly awful. The pizza was raw, the dough was extremely heavy and lacked salt. There were 12 of us, and they served the pizzas quite a while apart. By the time it reached me, many of my guests had already finished theirs. Terrible.

05/01/2026: They served me a pizza for my daughter (since they didn't have any) that at least was from the day before, I stumbled upon it by chance and it certainly won't happen again.

02/01/2026: The barista has an irritating and pedantic manner. I asked for a cappuccino and got a macchiato in a large cup.

23/01/2026: On a busy Friday night, I managed to nab the last table outside Vineria Favalli in a cobbled roadway behind Bologna’s Quadrilatero market – and I loved the atmosphere and energy. It was the perfect spot to people watch and enjoy Bolognese life. I returned a few days later with some friends and could only get a seat inside in the back room which is almost entirely devoid of atmosphere – so my advice is arrive early, especially on weekend evenings (and my score on atmosphere is for an outside table). Wines on offer by the glass were excellent – I enjoyed a skinsy vermentino from Liguria. Deep-fried zucchini flowers were OK and fellow guests were friendly. Some tables were given taralli as a free cicchetti with their drinks – I was not on either occasion and I think this may be a locals vs tourist thing! I’m sure if you ask they’ll give you some though.

02/01/2026: Bartender does not seem knowledgeable about natural orange wines selection they have. Could not recommend us anything and wine descriptions were very basic: just a grape and macerated or not. We ended up with a bottle that was very bland and not to our descriptions at all.

17/01/2026: I bought a tray of mignon and a bag of biscuits last night. I compliment you on the quality, everything was really delicious.

16/11/2025: Perfect stop at Valservice! During a trip, I chose Valservice for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Fresh, flavorful dishes, including some ethnic options. The takeout option is also excellent, convenient and well-packaged. Quick service, friendly staff, and fair prices. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a good, quick meal!

22/01/2026: Terrible experience. Disappointing dinner. I remembered a great dinner a year ago and went in by mistake. Never again. The problem is the food. The waiter was great, professional, and kind. When someone finally arrived, it was absolutely freezing at the register, and luckily they didn't ask me how it went... I've attached a photo. Please consider whoever reads this if they've seen the huge grill we paid for, covered in breadcrumbs and oil and still very dry.

21/03/2026: One of the best bars in Bologna. When I'm downtown alone, I come here. Alone because I don't want to offer anything to anyone and just mind my own business.
