16/05/2026: A very rustic atmosphere, it feels like stepping into a family home in the hills outside Bologna. Excellent ingredients, from first courses to second courses and appetizers. The fried mushrooms are top-notch, and the black truffles are grown directly on site. I highly recommend the passatelli and the whole bull meat.
11/05/2026: Honestly, I expected more from what I'd heard.
The pasta wasn't satisfying; it was too dry and a bit hard to digest.
The crostini appetizer was average. The only thing I was satisfied with was the dessert.
The wine prices were too high in my opinion, which made the final bill a bit too high for the quality of the dishes!

The host, Matteo, is friendly yet professional!
A must-see in the Rhine Valley!
I wholeheartedly recommend it.
25/04/2026: Discovered by chance... we had a great time, the food was excellent and original (the crunchy vegetables and the crème caramel are a must-try), and the owner was very kind. If we can, we'll be back.

16/06/2026: The girls were super nice. We had very little time because we had to see Rocca Mattei, but they prepared a delicious and filling appetizer for us. A must-see for me.

The food was undeniably high quality, simple yet effective, with generous portions. The lunch menu is incredible: the price of the first course, second course, side dish + tigelle, drink, cover charge, and coffee was €20 (on a Saturday) per person...
Small, well-kept place. I hope to return.

01/05/2026: Finally, a spotlessly clean, old-fashioned place where you're served dishes that embody a passion for cooking.
You'll certainly find the comfort of tradition, but the new creations from Julia, a talented, down-to-earth woman, are much more interesting.
Try:
- pear in a crust with gorgonzola and walnuts (delicious, in my opinion)
- unrefined flour balanzoni with butter and pistachio pesto
- chestnut flour crepes stuffed with porcini mushrooms, melted butter, and parmesan
- stuffed beef meatloaf
- apple strudel
- trifle
The downside? Getting there in the fog can be challenging, but given the beautiful day, we even enjoyed the journey.
Well done, Julia, continue your journey, which still deserves many new achievements.

19/02/2026: We came across it by word of mouth and I must admit that it had been years since I found such a beautiful location with genuine and excellent cuisine, from the first courses to the grilled meats to the homemade desserts, a continuous poetry and said by the undersigned, a chef for 40 years, believe me it was a delight for the palate and Julia the owner as well as cook, fantastic person, we will be back soon

20/01/2024: Ristorante trattoria sulla porrettana nei pressi di Vergato. Locale accogliente e spazioso. Ampia scelta di vini. Ottimi i primi, in particolare i balanzoni alla crema di parmigiano ed aceto balsamico. Molto gustosa anche la cotoletta alla bolognese. Porzioni abbondanti.

23/05/2025: Un posto magnifico. Location accogliente, camerieri molto gentili e disponibili. Cibo buonissimo, ho preso una pizza soleggiata, una piadina chiamiamola così e un mascarpone.
L’unica cosa è che i miei amici si lamentavano del würstel che sapeva di chimico. Nonostante 5 stelle meritate, andate!

16/12/2024: Complimenti ad Annamaria che gestisce mirabilmente questo ristorante albergo e al suo papà che accoglie con cordialità e simpatia tutti i clienti,piatti della tradizione emiliana e non,preparati con cura e amore,carta dei vini molto assortita con 10 champagne .In sala Greta precisa e veloce quanto gentile.

17/10/2024: Pranzo della vigilia completamente azzeccato, locale carino e caldo, staff meraviglioso, menù tradizionale perfettamente preparato, sapori decisi, piatti abbondanti a prezzi nella media, torneremo.
