17/01/2025: We went for the first time on a Saturday evening and despite this we were punctual in being seated!! Quick service and top staff... but above all excellent food!! We got some sandwiches with some excellent beers to accompany!! Try the chips with pistachio and mortadella!! Top!!

27/05/2025: Sunday I celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday and everything was impeccable, a fabulous location, qualified staff attentive to every little detail, the meter very professional and very kind, the food excellent, you can see that they use top quality products. Mrs. Ambra is available and ready to satisfy every need, every request. I compliment everyone and recommend this location to everyone.

26/05/2025: We celebrated my baby's First Communion yesterday. What can I say? Everything was perfect, wonderful, with delicious food. The service in the dining room was very precise and the staff was truly excellent. A special thanks to Ambra, Stefania, the chef and the maître. Thank you for the dream you made us live!

04/06/2025: We had two lovely meals here, on the recommendation of our B&B host. The restaurant looks humble and unassuming from the outside, but the food and service are really great. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they were very sweet and funny with our 8-year-old son. They even taught him how to eat spaghetti with a spoon and fork in the true Neapolitan style. Most of the customers were local Italians who eat there regularly, which is always a good sign. And they were all very nice to us too, asking us about our stay in Salerno and even offering us some of their food to try! We ate in other fancier and more expensive restaurants during our stay, but we agreed that none of them matched the experience we had here. I hope we'll be back!

31/05/2025: Family restaurant. We arrived at 10pm, no tourists, only Italians at a few tables. The atmosphere and food were good, home-cooked like at an Italian grandma's but not outstanding, very low prices. Modest menu, alcohol to choose from: beer, one red and one white wine of Italian production, and that's it.

The owner's wife and staff are super kind, they pamper the customer from the moment they enter the room during dinner and even at the end by offering a bitter. Excellent food with dishes out of the ordinary. Highly recommended

11/05/2025: I miei genitori erano stati in questo posto scoperto un po' per caso un po' di tempo fa, me ne avevano parlato molto, molto bene e così oggi abbiamo deciso di andarci. La distanza non è poca, ma ne è valsa assolutamente la pena, non solo perché Castelcivita è un posto davvero delizioso, ma perché nella trattoria 'il portello' si mangia davvero benissimo. Abbiamo ordinato 3 antipasti 'il portello' che erano molto abbondanti e veramente eccezionali, i prodotti sono di altissima qualità. Raffaele, con il quale abbiamo scambiato qualche chiacchiera sembra davvero una persona squisita, seleziona i prodotti che serve con molta cura e tutto nel giro di pochissimi km. Anche i ravioli erano buonissimi e fatti in casa. La ragazza che ci ha servito al tavolo è stata super carina ed educata. Il posto è tranquillo e gode di una vista veramente bella. Rapporto qualità/quantità/prezzo veramente ottimo! Ci ritorneremo sicuramente

30/05/2025: Great spot for inexpensive pizza in Ravello. However don't go for the pasta. It's pre-made in the morning, and it's just heated/microwaved if you order. The pasta was dry and hard, there was water in the plate. Don't order the pasta.

08/05/2025: Suggestive restaurant located in a church deconsecrated for sins of the flesh. One of those gastronomic gems discovered almost by chance. Excellent dishes including artichoke hearts with beef ragout, crispy pork belly and sea bream fillet. The personal attention of the owners and their son gave a human touch to the whole dinner making it one of those experiences to remember.

04/06/2025: Had lovely peaceful lunch here. We had the Scialatielli al profumo di mare and one of their daily specials Mussels and it was very delicious and reasonably priced. Our server, Salvatore, was also very kind and helpful so that we made the best choices for lunch! You’d never know it was a few streets away from busy Amalfi city center.
