Cala Gavitella Beach Club In Praiano

A truly positive experience. We spent a day at this wonderful facility. The staff were friendly (both in the restaurant and on the loungers) and, above all, the quality of service was top-notch. They are very attentive to various allergies and food intolerances. The dishes were very tasty and the atmosphere was welcoming. Special mention goes to the bar lady's frozen drinks!!! I recommend the salt-baked fish (filleted on the spot) to everyone.

A must-do experience on the Amalfi Coast! La Gavitella was one of the highlights of our trip. The setting is absolutely breathtaking, with incredible views of the Mediterranean and such a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere. We spent the day enjoying the beach club, followed by a delicious lunch overlooking the sea. The food was fresh, the service was wonderful, and the live music made the experience even more memorable. It is so much more than just a beach club—it is the kind of place where you can slow down and truly enjoy everything that makes the Amalfi Coast so special. One of my favorite moments was taking a swim in the crystal-clear Mediterranean water—it was incredibly refreshing and honestly felt like one of those quintessential Amalfi Coast experiences you dream about. I would absolutely recommend adding La Gavitella to your itinerary if you are visiting Positano or Praiano. Come for the views, stay for the food and atmosphere, and give yourself enough time to enjoy the full experience. We loved it! 🇮🇹✨

Top restaurant. Far from the hustle and bustle. A pleasure from start to finish. Attentive service, delicious food, and atmospheric music. A varied menu and everything you'd expect from a place of this caliber.

La Gavitella was absolutely lovely. Our chairs were right at the edge of the sea, and we spent almost the entire day swimming in the magical cove. The staff was kind and accommodating and our entire experience was magical! It was one of our favorite days in Positano and we’d highly recommend coming here!

I had the best day at La Gavitella! This day club definitely was the highlight of my Amalfi coast experience. The food was amazing, not to mention the incredible water views! This is a great spot for a family, couples, or a girls trip!

We had an exceptional experience at La Gavitella Beach Club in Praiano, on the Amalfi Coast. The location is simply spectacular, with a privileged view of the sea and Positano, providing an unforgettable setting. The facilities are excellent, very well organized, comfortable, and perfect for spending a relaxing day by the sea. The service from the entire team was impeccable: everyone was extremely kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The food also deserves special mention. The dishes are delicious, prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the drinks perfectly complement the experience. Without a doubt, La Gavitella Beach Club was one of the highlights of our trip to the Amalfi Coast. We recommend it to everyone looking for a beach club with excellent service, great food, a pleasant atmosphere, and one of the most beautiful views in the region. We hope to return soon!

Beach review: if you are coming during the busy season (summer) and need a place to swim that is less crowded but still has all the amenities than this is a great option. Good for 35+ year old crowd or those looking for a more peaceful experience. Yes there are many stair down but of course this is common for the area and you should expect that. Be prepared to walk yourself out. Only stairs back up and no taxes. Yes, the lounges are more pricey than on the popular area beaches BUT you get lounge side service! Yes the lounges are very close together but honestly we had no issue with this as we were often in the sea swimming while our neighboring loungers were there and visa versa. We had a peaceful time. The “beach” area near the shore is small and the staff let me know that before we came. It is very rocky. We mostly just jumped off the dock to swim around (water was incredibly clear and perfect temp in July). Local kids there enjoying themselves on the dock. I loved it. My youngest did cut herself on a rock attempting something risky and the staff helped her clean it out and wrap it. Super thoughtful!

the best thing you could do while in Positano is book a boat to a private beach club away from the crowds 🤌🏼 srsly the beaches are PACKED: it’s loud and not relaxing, but here, we had our own private spot, we were waited on by the best staff, and spent hours playing in the water with a handful of people. We finished the day with dinner at La Gavitella with the best seafood pasta 🤤 and tableside tiramisu. This is a CORE memory, and we WILL be back again!

I booked the pizza & gelato cooking class based on previous reviews and I'd like to thank all of you who that have done so for guidance. The experience with my family was memorable. From the moment we arrived, we were seated for a special breakfast with freshly baked croissants and an espresso, Mama Mia!! The class was fantastic and greatly thought by chef Tomas👌🏻. Eating the food you cook was special and heart warming and it was especially touching for my sons to experience this with their parents to make it memorable and maybe....just maybe will now be able to cook for themselves😁 Vanessa and the other chef(apologies i can't remember your name) were spectacular and really made the day so special. Kudos to ye all!! Thank you and great work👌🏻

Lovely food and incredible location. However the staff were rushing us to finish. We were only there for an hour and though the restaurant was full, no one was waiting for a table. A pity. Let themselves down.
