16/08/2025: The restaurant is very nicely decorated inside, where we sat. The food is very tasty and reasonably priced. It has a lot of seafood options and less of everything else. We tried the ravioli, the meatballs and the caprese which were excellent. The staff was very kind and helpful and Francesca was very willing to help us with additional questions about the city, speaking excellent English. The only negative is that the outdoor area could have been more nicely decorated like the inside.

15/08/2025: LOCATION: Small but welcoming and well-appointed with a pleasant atmosphere. SERVICE: We were looked after by Francesca, and I can only thank her and compliment her for the empathy and attention she showed to all of us. Every restaurant should have someone like her. FOOD: Excellent quality and a good variety on the menu, ranging from traditional to seafood. We ordered different dishes (there were 9 of us) and everything was delicious, no flaws. Not to mention the speed with which everything arrived at the table. In short, highly recommended, with excellent value for money. Well done to everyone, from the kitchen to the dining room staff ❤️

26/07/2025: We were welcomed by the waitress (forgot to ask her name) who seated us, Franco swiftly poured us a glass or complimentary prosecco which is probably the best we have had. The specials were explained which caused greater dilemma to the already delicious sounding menu. The food was fantastic, the service from Franco and the waitress was friendly and personal. Franco is knowledgeable and passionate about both the food and wine, perfectly pairing the wine to the food. Now the food… this exceeded the service, excellent. Good size portions too. The food was very similar in cost to local restaurants which are not even close in quality. Would definitely be our first port of call if we return to Sorrento.

21/07/2025: The night before we went, my girlfriend and I wandered through Sorrento, trying to find somewhere authentic to enjoy Italian cuisine. We walked past Ristorante Museo Caruso, and noticed it was a previous holder of a Michelin Plate award. Knowing that it has to have some quality behind it, we then checked the menu and couldn't believe how low the price was for items on the menu. The next night, we went to give it a try and were blown away! The decor was gorgeous, an homage to the founder's fascination with Enrico Caruso - a famous Opera singer. We were a bit confused as to why it was so quiet inside. We sat down and treated ourself to the 6-course Taster menu at €80 each - about half as much as you would usually pay for such quality. The service was fantastic, as was the food. Kicking ourselves we found it on the last night, as we would have probably gone again to try other things on the menu. A no-brainer for an authentic, delicious Italian dinner in Sorrento.

09/08/2025: We had an absolutely fantastic dinner experience. Great food, service and atmosphere. Very romantic. One of the best restaurants we have been to. This must be experienced!

14/04/2025: Il ristorante gourmet del Grand Hotel Angiolieri si dimostra, come sempre, yno degli indirizzi Michelin più interessanti della costiera sorrentina. tre i menù: botanica (che è per vegetariani), anima (carne e pesce), signature (i piatti migliori del nuovo corso).

29/07/2025: The food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The waitress spoke English, which made communication easier. There was a party going on, so the atmosphere was definitely there, and we were treated just as well as the other partygoers.

27/07/2025: Fabulous, definitely worth an extra hour of driving to visit for dinner. If you haven't booked, they do everything to fix a table for you anyway. The waiters are amazing even if they have a lot of work. The food is 6 of 5 stars, have eaten pizza, pasta and meat. The view is amazing up on the hill of Vesuvio. If you have kids, they have a prefect kids area with attendants. The only negativ I can think oh is that they didn't have non alcoholic beer. If I come to this area again I will come back!

31/05/2025: Everything was great! Pasta and potatoes were spectacular but the candles with Neapolitan ragù were unbeatable! We had meatballs as a second course, what can I say! Come and try it! Very kind and helpful staff Highly recommended!

12/07/2025: The best pizza we've ever eaten (especially the Bufalina)!!!! This pizzeria looks rather unassuming from the outside, but the pizzas are fantastic! And the price is unbeatable, too! We spent four nights in San Lazzaro and went there all four evenings because we were immediately impressed on the first evening. It's a family business, and everyone is super friendly. During the week, we waited less than 15 minutes for our food, and even on Saturday, when it was really busy, the wait was absolutely fine. All in all, a feel-good atmosphere, and if I could, I would continue eating pizza there every day!

15/06/2025: The food was decent, but a bit tricky to eat — the shrimp is served whole, mixed with other ingredients that don’t need peeling, which makes it slightly inconvenient. The cone portion is quite small for the price, so it’s more of a snack than a full meal. Seating is very tight inside, and outside it can be a bit uncomfortable, as people constantly pass by and the ground is often wet, giving it that typical fish market feel. That said, it does offer an authentic Neapolitan experience.

06/06/2025: We arrived to get a cuoppo and Angela welcomed us with the utmost kindness and education. She sat us down immediately, recommending a maxi cuoppo that we took and split in two and she served us drinks. As for the cuoppo, I'll let the photo speak for itself, I'll just say that the fish was very fresh and very tasty. If you have to pass through Naples, this must be a fixed stop

25/07/2025: I visited this pizzeria about two weeks ago, intrigued by the positive reviews. As soon as we sat down, we were offered a "special" dough for a €2 surcharge. We accepted, trusting the promise of a lighter and more distinctive dough. We ordered two pizzas and some mixed fried foods. Unfortunately, the fried foods were the first major disappointment: greasy, heavy, and anything but fresh. The pizzas, with their famous alternative dough, were closer to a thin Roman pizza, but they were anything but light. The dough was rubbery and heavy, quite the opposite of what was described. It felt like a failed experiment. The service was courteous, but it must also be said that while we were eating, the pizza chef insisted on asking us several times how the pizza was, interrupting our dinner at a moment we would have preferred to be quiet. We understand the curiosity and desire to improve, but there are ways and times to do so.

25/07/2025: Personally, after being there several times, I consider it one of the best pizzerias in the Phlegraean Fields. Besides the classic ones, today I also had the chance to try the "crunch" and the water-leavened dough... honestly, for different reasons, I'm not sure which one I prefer, they're spectacular! In any case, the real strength is the skill in combining the toppings, creating a balance on the palate that never tires.

20/07/2025: A lovely garden restaurant in Pompeii. I really appreciated the friendly staff and their focus on gluten-free options. The gluten-free scialatelli were really good, as were the packets with monkfish ragù. I didn't particularly enjoy the grilled fish or the appetizers. Overall, we had a great time. Recommended!

20/07/2025: Un luogo magico dove ti senti a casa e mangi pesce freschissimo a prezzo giusto. Tutto il menù si può avere senza glutine.Oggi il mio pacchero con i totani era spettacolare, cosi come la frittura di calamari . Il personale gentilissimo. Ci tornerò con piacere. Complimenti ‼️

02/02/2025: Ricavato all interno di un locale con muri a volto molto decorativi, propone tutta una serie di piccoli antipasti davvero interessanti, la qualità della materia prima e’ indiscutibile come pure l esecuzione di alcuni piatti, il pesce fresco è il principe di questo locale. Vale certamente una visita e il rapporto qualità prezzo e’ equo, cena soddisfacente e romantica.

10/07/2025: We came here to order a pizza to go based on a recommendation from our landlord. The pizza was prepared super quickly. The toppings were excellent, and the dough and tomato sauce were delicious. We paid only €5 for a Margherita pizza. For us, this pizzeria is the absolute best value for money. We found the Margherita pizza here better than at the well-known Pizzeria Sorbillo.

08/07/2025: In 4 days in Napoli, I ate my way across 4 pizzerias, and this one was hands down the best. I would recommend the Margherita pizza, or anything with their outstanding tomato sauce. 🍅 Best for those seeking an authentic local experience (know some Italian) and best prices.
