Special mention goes to the tortello alla ventricina and the lamb, both of which are unbelievably tender.

31/05/2026: On the recommendation of a colleague and a student, who frequents Abruzzo often, I came to Pescocostanzo specifically to try the pizza by the slice at "Lo Spizzico," and I was blown away: the dough, leavened at 1,400 meters above sea level, is incredibly light: a cloud that crunches in the mouth, a delight for those who love a crispy texture. There's something for everyone: in addition to the traditional Margherita, I also tried the revisited Amatriciana and the radicchio sausage. The ingredients were excellent. Next time, I'll try the ambitious house specialty, the bold cacio (pecorino) e pepe with lemon and licorice. Prices are average. Indoor and outdoor tables.

The pizza is crispy and flavorful, with a delicious dough that's rebaked to further enhance its aroma. The owners are kind, courteous, and extremely quick with their service, making the experience even more enjoyable. Their specialties are absolutely worth the wait. Trying is believing.

29/05/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 stars An absolute stroke of luck – and probably one of the best lunches of our entire trip to Italy! We had originally just planned to explore the area and enjoy the town. Around lunchtime, we stumbled upon this restaurant quite by chance and spontaneously decided to book a table in the shaded outdoor seating area. A decision we didn't regret for a second. Despite the restaurant being quite full and even a tour bus arriving later, the service was incredibly attentive, friendly, and surprisingly quick. We felt welcome from the very first moment. The food was simply outstanding. The ravioli with saffron and ricotta filling were a particular highlight. Honestly, they were the best ravioli I've ever eaten. Perfectly balanced flavors, freshly prepared, and cooked with great care. What always impresses us in Italy is the fantastic value for money. Here, too, you get top-notch quality, regional cuisine, and warm hospitality at absolutely fair prices. Anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine should definitely dine here. We would come back anytime and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. Thank you so much for this wonderful culinary experience!

16/04/2026: I'd like to say a very positive thing about this little restaurant: the welcome was warm, the service was fast and impeccable, the food tasted like it used to, the portions were generous, the prices were fair, and desserts like the tart were stellar. 08/08/2026: There were two of us, a very romantic place, welcoming and helpful staff, impeccable table settings. For the first time, I tried the mutton tartare out of curiosity. Delicious, flavorful, and tasty. Then came the pork stock. Top, washed down with a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.

04/08/2026: We stumbled upon this place because the one we'd chosen had closed due to a change of management. Unfortunately, there's very little of an osteria about it; the place is very nice and well-maintained, but it lacks air conditioning. We had two first courses, one with truffles, which tasted very lightly of truffles; I didn't particularly like the trofie with asparagus. The dishes aren't very generous for an osteria. For the main course, the fried lamb ribs; I prefer them grilled, traditional. The tiramisu was excellent. The price was above average and not very satisfying. The wait staff was very nice, fast, and helpful.

04/08/2026: I put 1 because zero is not possible... made an appointment to visit the location and agree on a menu for a wedding... even though he knew we were coming from out of town he didn't show up and didn't have the decency to let us know...
