From the tartare to the simply spectacular first courses, to the cod with polenta...and finishing with the top-quality meat. We'll definitely be back. P.S. The enchanting garden, where the kids can have fun and play, is equally spectacular.

18/09/2025: The restaurant is surrounded by a large, meticulously maintained garden. The staff was courteous and professional. We ate lunch on the outdoor patio and it was very pleasant. We chose the tartare 2.0. The meat was good, as was the pasta with guinea fowl and asparagus ragu and the sciarpella. The desserts were tasty and well-made. Congratulations...Recommended restaurant!

28/09/2025: A really cute and welcoming place. Unfortunately, it was too cold to sit outside, but the interior is also very well-maintained. The first courses and desserts are delicious, with ingredients that taste fresh. The service was excellent, and the hostess was very helpful and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

24/08/2025: We went for lunch and it wasn't possible to have the red polenta and gnocchi with sauce included on the menu... we ordered two mixed roasts for €18 each, a paltry portion, and the lamb was missing, replaced with artistic ones. The pork was undercooked. We didn't like it.

18/10/2025: I can't comment on the rooms, but the restaurant offers excellent cuisine in a beautiful location. The appetizers were excellent, as was the first course, ravioli with walnut cream, and the mixed roast of local meats. The staff was very kind and welcoming. Thanks to Marco and Annalisa.

01/09/2025: This charming little house nestled in the countryside, with an attached parking area, is located a few kilometers from Monticchio, which is strategically located near the city of L'Aquila, the Stiffe Caves, and the historic villages of the municipality of L'Aquila, but also not far from Santo Stefano di Sessanio or Rocca Calascio. Rooms are located on the ground or first floor, with a security door, safes in some rooms, photocell-controlled outdoor lights, a small TV, spacious and fairly clean rooms, and modern bathrooms. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast includes homemade pastries, delicious tarts and chocolate cakes, savory dishes, seasonal fruit, and homemade yogurt. The variety isn't exceptional, but it's adequate for the property. The apartment owners' restaurant and pizzeria serve delicious, well-leavened and highly digestible pizzas, made with top-quality ingredients.

A traditional experience built on passion, attention to raw materials, dedication, and love for your work. Handmade tortelli, perfectly cooked grilled meats, mouth-watering first courses (literally). All accompanied by the professionalism of the staff. Vincenzo: competent, welcoming; Lorenzo: a young, passionate, and capable chef. The smiles of owner Angelo and his wife are a must for a memorable dinner. Everyone was good, everything was excellent. A highly recommended experience.

19/08/2025: Everything was exceptional! We were a group of nine and thoroughly enjoyed dining here. We tried a bit of everything: appetizers, first courses, second courses, and side dishes, and found every dish truly delicious and well-portioned. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful: special thanks to Vincenzo and the head waiter (whose name we unfortunately don't know) for their professionalism and kindness. If we ever return to the area, we'll definitely stop here again!

19/08/2025: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! The rooms are a little dated, but the staff and hospitality make the difference. Piero, in particular, is the best, always available and kind, ready to accommodate all your needs. The food is excellent. The location is very good. Although there is no private parking, it's easy to find a spot near the hotel. We personally highly recommend it to anyone visiting Villetta Barrea, and we'll definitely be back. Probably the best value for money!

14/08/2025: Highly recommended, the hotel is spotless and strategically located for enjoying the national park. I stayed for a week and felt right at home. Mr. Pietro was incredibly kind, and Chef Luigi delighted us with his delicious dishes for both breakfast and dinner! I'll definitely be back.

15/09/2025: This place was recommended to us, rightly so, by locals during a social event, and I think I'll never tire of thanking them. We had a perfect dinner; everything we ordered was completely satisfying. The highlight was the friendly wait staff, always ready to accommodate any request, and the wine selection was excellent. It's easy to get to, as it's located on the narrow part of the main street near the luminous fountain. My heartfelt compliments to the entire staff.
