There were two of us, a very romantic place, welcoming and helpful staff, impeccable table settings. For the first time, I tried the mutton tartare out of curiosity. Delicious, flavorful, and tasty. Then came the pork stock. Top, washed down with a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.

We stumbled upon this place because the one we'd chosen had closed due to a change of management.
Unfortunately, there's very little of an osteria about it; the place is very nice and well-maintained, but it lacks air conditioning.
We had two first courses, one with truffles, which tasted very lightly of truffles; I didn't particularly like the trofie with asparagus. The dishes aren't very generous for an osteria.
For the main course, the fried lamb ribs; I prefer them grilled, traditional.
The tiramisu was excellent.
The price was above average and not very satisfying.
The wait staff was very nice, fast, and helpful.

Nothing special! The mixed antipasto was average...the grilled meat was adequate...the prices were a bit too high and the place didn't have air conditioning.

After 3 days being in L’Aquila this place is on the top of our list. Very delicious food, pasta was al dente just perfect, meat was delicious, atmosphere is romantic. The only thing we didn’t like is bread :-(. They gaves us 2 types of bread, one of the type was not fresh and had a smell of mold. We did mention to a lady who works there who was not happy to hear it. She was not actually the pleasant one that night :-) In general a very good score to the food except they need to change the bread and provide a better one.

This restaurant is located in the city center but somewhat hidden from the main streets. We were looking for a traditional restaurant and we made this pleasant discovery. The food was excellent, as was the service. The friendly staff were able to give us some tips on the dishes and offer perfect recommendations. The restaurant is intimate and elegant. Highly recommended.

Very nice atmosphere and very kind and attentive service. Among the appetizers, the fried pecorino was truly exceptional! The amatriciana was also very good.

Take great care of the chef... he cooked divinely! He made us dream with the tagliatelle with cod, delicate in aroma and flavor with... citrus, I would say. And the roast... cooked to perfection. And everything in delicately generous portions. And the chips with cheese and truffle... delicious!

What a wonderful discovery!
We visited Osteria I Gemelli and were truly thrilled. Traditional L'Aquila dishes were perfectly executed, with authentic flavors and impeccable presentation. We ate divinely.
Huge praise to the staff: young, highly trained, smiling, and exceptionally kind. Professional, yet with that typical warmth of Abruzzo hospitality.
A place where quality can be tasted and seen. Highly recommended, definitely worth a visit if you're in L'Aquila!
