05/03/2025: Nice restaurant, really excellent raw materials. Among the appetizers, the parmigiana was the one that most impressed me, among the best I have ever eaten. The seared tuna and cod are also very good. Prices a little high, but quality/price, for being in Taormina, is okay. I will be back to try the meat dishes.

27/12/2024: An excellent experience! The pizza is truly excellent, but the à la carte dishes are also worth it, with original and well-prepared proposals. The recent renovation has significantly improved the acoustics of the room, making the environment silent and relaxing despite the large size of the room. Highly recommended!

06/03/2025: Non voglio dilungarmi a recensire il cibo e le bevande di questo locale. È lapalissiano che, se si va a cena in un bugigattolo, attaccato a corso Principe Oddone, non si sta andando al Cambio e sarà tutto coerentemente di basso livello. Io e le mie amiche abbiamo prenotato in questa piccola trattoria per semplice comodità logistica, data la vicinanza con la stazione di Porta Susa, poiché una di noi era in arrivò da Milano. In sede di prenotazione telefonica, è stata fatta una reservation per le 19:30, senza che la cameriera accennasse minimamente al fatto che era loro intenzione far “girare” il tavolo due volte e che quindi ad una certa ora avremmo dovuto liberarlo. Dopo un’estenuante ricerca di parcheggio - perché la zona è davvero dannata - arriviamo e ci vediamo assegnato un tavolo, attaccatissimo a quello attiguo e proprio di fianco alla porta d’ingresso. Pazienza! Sono magra e riesco a passare e sedersi (una persona corpulenta non ci sarebbe fisicamente stata). Da qui in avanti comincia una normalissima serata, in cui ciascuna di noi ha ordinato da bere e un paio di piattini a testa, mentre si parlava amabilmente. Si arriva ai dolci e al caffè, senza che nessuno ci rappresentasse la benché minima urgenza di aver il tavolo (del resto si erano fatte le nove non la mezzanotte), quando, di punto in bianco, si palesa quello che penso fosse il titolare e si mette a battere vigorosamente le mani per attirare la nostra attenzione, proferendo testualmente “AVETE 2/3 MINUTI PER LIBERARE IL TAVOLO” Siamo rimaste esterrefatte! Sarebbe stato un comportamento inqualificabile anche con dei ragazzini di 15 anni, ma noi siamo quattro signore, amiche dai tempi del ginnasio, tutte titolare e professioniste e questo “garzoncello” si permette veramente di trattarci come fossimo scimmie ammaestrate?!? Un episodio sconcertante che conferma la mia convinzione che - non sempre ma spesso - in Italia, chi non è capace di far nulla per mancanza di titoli o di talenti, si mette a spiattellare malamente ai fornelli

23/02/2025: La Taverna del Berge' è un piccolo angolo di paradiso nel cuore di Torino. L'atmosfera accogliente e familiare ti fa sentire subito a casa. Il personale, sempre gentile e disponibile, aggiunge un tocco di calore ad ogni visita. La qualità dei piatti, autentici e preparati con ingredienti freschi, è veramente notevole. I tajarin al ragù sono una vera delizia, insieme agli antipasti ricchi di sapore. Ogni portata è un viaggio nella tradizione culinaria piemontese. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è imbattibile, rendendo ogni pasto un momento speciale. In sintesi, La Taverna del Berge' merita pienamente il suo 5 stelle per un'esperienza indimenticabile.

21/02/2025: My favorite meal in Palermo. I suggest you don’t miss this ristorante. THE Best Service by all family members- mom, dad, brothers and sister. Fourth generation at this location. We were also treated and welcomed like family. The food was amazing- the pizza the pasta and the homemade chili oil. Everything made in house. We absolutely loved it ALL. Grazie Mille 🇮🇹🤌🏼

Nestled on the Grand Canal, between Ca' D' Oro and Venice's iconic Rialto Bridge, the 5-star Ca' Sagredo Hotel exudes old-world charm. Housed in a stunning 14th-century palace, once the residence of one of Venice's most cultured noble families, the hotel is a proud member of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection. Its 67 elegantly decorated rooms and suites reflect the building's rich history and Venetian allure. During my stay, I was assigned a Sagredo Double room, which is the entry-level category. The carpeted Sagredo Double rooms include a comfortable double bed, a small flat-screen TV, a desk, two reading chairs, and a spacious built-in closet. However, the room felt quite dark due to its single narrow window. Although the room was immaculately clean, some furnishings showed signs of age. Housekeeping is conducted twice daily, though the turndown service lacked the thoughtful touches of water and chocolates. No welcome amenities were provided upon arrival. The en-suite marble bathroom featured a single washbasin, a bathtub/shower combination with a rain showerhead, an integrated toilet with a bidet, a towel warmer, and bespoke toiletries crafted in Italy specifically for the hotel. Despite requesting a room with a view during booking and the hotel being nearly empty during my stay, my first-floor room faced the side street and hotel entrance. Undoubtedly, better views are available in other rooms. The Ca' Sagredo Hotel's marble staircase, designed by Tirali and adorned with a fresco by Pietro Longhi, stands as a breathtaking example of Venetian craftsmanship and elegance, enhancing the hotel's historical charm and romantic ambiance. The second floor boasts magnificent wall paintings, including frescoes by Pietro Longhi and landscapes with ruins and hunting scenes by Andrea Urbani, complemented by stucco work and Murano glass chandeliers. A simple breakfast buffet is served in the second-floor breakfast rooms, with additional hot dishes beyond scrambled eggs and bacon available from the à la carte menu, though these are not included in the price. The service is reserved and friendly. The Music Hall, also known as the Sala della Musica, offers perfect acoustics, 18th-century trompe l'oeil paintings by Gaspare Diziani, gilt bronze chandeliers, and frescoes depicting elegant rituals, making it a popular venue for events or weddings. Although the Grande Canale Restaurant was closed during my stay, it is renowned for offering a fine dining experience with a focus on authentic Venetian cuisine. Meanwhile, Bar L'incontro provides a cozy setting for savoring Italian aperitifs, wines, and cocktails. In summary, the Ca' Sagredo Hotel, with its historic palace grandeur, artistic treasures, and spacious rooms, lacks attention to detail and warm service. Nonetheless, if reasonably priced, it remains a solid option among pricier five-star properties, thanks to its excellent Grand Canal location.

14/02/2025: Cosy pizza place just out of Como City. My favourite pizza i have had so far in Italy. I highly recommend "the devil wears prada" from the signature 125 menu. Reasonably priced cocktails as well. Staff were very welcoming to English speaking guests and very helpful in explaining the menu.

27/01/2025: I recently went to Ristorante La Runcina, a little outside the center of San Teodoro and I can say that it is truly an extraordinary culinary experience. From the moment I arrived, the warm welcome from the staff and the elegant atmosphere of the place put me in a good mood. The starters were the real surprise with the fresh, quality ingredients standing out in an exemplary manner. Moving on to the first courses, I opted for a delicious seafood fregola. The consistency was perfect, and the flavor combinations truly memorable. Excellent fried calamari To finish, a dessert made with ricotta, pistachios and delicious strawberry sauce In conclusion, the La Runcina Restaurant is undoubtedly an address worth marking on the diary for lovers of good food. With a truly enviable quality-price ratio, it is the ideal place for a special dinner or lunch. Congratulations to the chef and all the staff for their excellent work!

Chef Alexandra’s recommended dishes must have been outstanding to make such an impression. We dined there 3 times during our 1 week visit to Sardinia, every single visit made our mind blown with their fantastic food and service. The stunning view adds to our experience, making it a must-visit spot for anyone in the area.
