A hidden gem in Sarnico, tucked away in a quiet private courtyard. We came for our last evening on Lake Iseo and it turned out to be the highlight of the trip. Everything is made in-house and you can taste it. We started with the venison tartare with mustard gelato, cocoa nibs and raspberry — a bold, surprising combination that absolutely works. The handmade casoncelli on Grana Padano fondue with crispy pancetta and white-wine pears were exceptional, the kind of dish you simply can’t recreate at home. For mains we had the Manzo all’olio di Rovato, a beautifully slow-cooked beef with porcini and soft polenta — rich, tender and full of flavour. We paired it all with a local Franciacorta, which was the perfect match. The staff were absolutely wonderful — warm, attentive and genuinely friendly from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Really amazing food and exceptional service too. Our first experience of authentic Italian cuisine was perfect from start to finish. Lovely restaurant and incredibly friendly conversation. Highly recommended and we will definitely be returning in the future.

Had dinner for two, and never had such good casoncelli... The atmosphere is lovely, more the courtyard than the interior. The staff is friendly, but a bit sparse. Another downside is the very long wait. Other than that, I highly recommend it.

Typical cuisine, with a modern and elegant twist, generous portions, from Montisola sardines with polenta, to risotto with quail, beef in oil, cod on squid ink puree.... desserts... a delicious and enjoyable dinner. Also interesting is the occasional menu change, which unfortunately few restaurants do. Beautiful entrance (restaurant hidden in a lovely courtyard). Simple, essential room, no frills, but very interesting cuisine.
