16/12/2025: 🌟 Excellent Review: Perfect Christmas Lunch for the Bergamo Dopolavoro Ferroviario (DLF Bergamo) Group! Recently, the Bergamo Dopolavoro Ferroviario had the pleasure of celebrating Christmas Lunch at Trattoria "LA FIASCA" in Costa di Mezzate (BG), and the experience was simply exceptional. We were a large group, about 50-55 people, but despite the large turnout, the restaurant managed everything with impeccable professionalism and courtesy. We were all satisfied, both with the excellent cuisine and the excellent organization. 🍽️ The Menu and Food Quality The menu offered for the event was rich, carefully selected, and fully satisfied all palates. The dishes were generous and delicious, fully living up to the expectations of the Christmas menu: Appetizers: A trio of impressive and varied dishes: warm seafood salad, a flavorful platter of local cured meats with fried gnocco, cod with polenta, and a delicate smoked beef carpaccio with parmesan shavings. First courses: The two first courses were excellent, particularly the risotto with Treviso and scamorza cheese (much appreciated for its enveloping flavor) and the fusilli with small vegetables and shrimp (fresh and flavorful). Second courses: The choice between the swordfish fillet Palermo-style and the beef tagliata with arugula, parmesan, and baked potatoes was excellent. The meat was perfectly cooked and tender, while the fish was flavorful and light. Dessert: The meal concluded in grand style with the dessert and sparkling wine offered by Dopolavoro, a spectacular and delicious finale (as evidenced by the splendid cake). ✨ Impeccable Organization and Service The real highlight of the day was the impeccable organization in a large setting. Managing over 50 guests at once, serving hot, high-quality dishes, is a daunting task, but the staff at "La Fiasca" demonstrated great attention, speed, and kindness. The atmosphere, welcoming and well-prepared for the holidays (as you can see from the photos), helped make the event a success. ✅ In Summary If you're looking for a place in the province of Bergamo to host a lunch or dinner for a large group, Trattoria "La Fiasca" is an absolute must. The Dopolavoro Ferroviario of Bergamo was thrilled, and we can highly recommend this restaurant.

11/09/2025: An extremely pleasant atmosphere, spotlessly clean, and a friendly, welcoming staff that immediately puts you at ease. The pizzas are delicious, soft and slightly crispy, and the tomato sauce is excellent, not at all acidic. I'll definitely be back; the pan pizza is highly recommended. And especially, thanks to the place that made me pizza, even though they don't usually make it at lunchtime. They were truly kind.

07/09/2025: A good restaurant on the island, the schnitzel was good and the breading was very good. The additions to the schnitzel (I had pistachios) didn't really surprise me. However, it was still absolutely delicious, and excellent for the quality, quantity, and price!

08/12/2025: Every year, on December 8th, I come to Bologna, after traveling 60 km. This place is my ideal: traditional Roman cuisine, a cozy atmosphere, and punctual and discreet service. Delicious food!!!!

Their communication was excellent throughout the entire planning process - they were responsive, professional, and genuinely cared about making our day as special as possible. Giovanni and Mariangela shared their trusted suppliers with us and helped coordinate every single detail of the wedding day. Everything ran so smoothly thanks to their careful planning and organisation. They truly went above and beyond, taking charge of everything so that we could just relax and enjoy the celebration. The venue itself is stunning - full of Sicilian charm and atmosphere - and the food was absolutely incredible. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was and how much they enjoyed themselves. What stood out most was the warmth and kindness of Giovanni and Mariangela. They poured their hearts into making sure our wedding was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or more wonderful hosts. 30/11/2025: A few days ago, on a Saturday morning bathed in glorious sunshine and embellished with the snowfall of the previous days, we decided to visit Chalet Numero 7 in Valle Castellana, a place opened in 2018 that I'd long wanted to explore but had never found the right opportunity. Upon arriving in Valle Castellana, we were immediately captivated by the landscape: snow-capped mountains, clear air, and a small, human-scale village, quiet and charming despite the still-visible scars of the 2016 earthquake. After a short stroll through its narrow streets, we reached the chalet, a delightful wooden structure in the heart of the village. As soon as we entered, we were greeted with warmth and kindness by Romolo, the owner, and his wife Stefania, who is passionate about cooking. The intimate and welcoming dining room immediately conveys a sense of familiarity. Leafing through the menu, we paused to read the story of the chalet's birth: a touching, exemplary, and replete with determination, truly deserving of applause. Our lunch began with a rich house antipasto, consisting of six hot and cold mushroom-based courses. The bruschetta with melted cheese and fresh truffle was sublime, as was the scrambled egg with truffle, with its intense and authentic aromas. The porcini mushroom salad with pink peppercorns and parmesan was exquisite, the chickpea and chestnut soup was delicate, the roasted porcini mushroom buds spectacular, and the bruschetta with grilled porcini mushrooms and lard and chestnuts was excellent. Romolo, with great expertise, guided us on a true gastronomic journey, advising us step by step. We then sampled two truly extraordinary first courses: a ravioli with chestnut gricia, surprisingly delicate, and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and guanciale, which to call "out of this world" is almost an understatement. For second courses, we opted for a grilled lamb and mutton, cooked to perfection over the coals, with a genuine and bold flavor. The famous roasted porcini mushrooms, a must-try at the chalet, couldn't be missed, with their unique and irresistible flavor. We also tried the fried lamb cutlet, which was truly spectacular. At this point, we were almost done, but we wanted to end on a sweet note with some delicious cantucci biscuits accompanied by house vino cotto, an excellent chestnut tart, and, to finish, Romolo's artisanal gentian, a perfect digestif and a fitting end to a memorable lunch. The house red wine was also excellent, fragrant and ideal for accompanying all the courses. Romolo's service was simply excellent: his friendliness, warmth, love for what he does, and attentiveness to his guests transform a stay at the chalet into a truly special experience. The quality of the ingredients, the authenticity of the flavors, and the attention to every detail make this place unique. Sincere congratulations to Romolo and Stefania, who with resourcefulness and courage have brought their dream to life, fully realizing it. It was an unforgettable lunch for all of us, and we're sure we'll be back soon for another delightful experience. Heartfelt thanks to all the staff, and congratulations again!

The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and courteous. A place you'll definitely want to return to – highly recommended!

The staff who served us were impeccable, friendly, and kind. We tried appetizers, first courses, and second courses. Everything was delicious! Highly recommended 👍

03/11/2025: An excellent restaurant in the heart of Pistoia, almost on Piazza della Sala, with a very original and tasteful decor. This is our menu: tortelli filled with Prato mortadella with a parmesan cream, chopped pistachios, and drops of basil reduction, artisanally marinated beef carpaccio with crunchy seasonal vegetables, and dessert.

Not to mention the wine paired with each course, perfectly paired and of superior quality. A total of 10+, definitely the best place to eat seafood in the Biella area and the surrounding area. 17/11/2025: We visited this restaurant for a special occasion. After a warm and friendly welcome, we ordered from the menu. The wait staff was very knowledgeable and attentive, the wine list extensive, and the dishes were meticulously prepared. The cuisine certainly exudes good taste, and the high quality of the expertly prepared ingredients is evident. Congratulations. We will definitely be back.
