30/06/2025: After a while that I had lost the habit of going to this restaurant, tonight there was the opportunity thanks to Google, searching for "restaurants open on Monday". In the Osteria del Contadino I found the quality that I remembered: we had the farmer's appetizer and the tagliata, everything really excellent. A round of applause for the service, attentive and courteous. The portions are abundant, the quality excellent and the quality-price ratio very good. We will definitely return, I highly recommend it!

20/07/2025: Tutto è accaduta in una sequenza di casualità, mentre rientravamo abbiamo visto questo paesino arroccato che ci chiamava e non abbiamo esitato a deviare il percorso, cosa mai più azzeccata. Parcheggiamo in una piccola piazza per andare a visitare lo stupendo castello che domina la valle e...... notiamo questo locale dove due ragazze preparavano la sala per la cena con un'attenzione maniacale verificando i bicchieri in trasparenza se avessero macchie di lavaggio, cosa giustissima ma assolutamente rara da vedere. Dopo la visita un languorino si affaccia e senza perdere tempo chiediamo la disponibilità di un tavolo.... Tutto ottimo, le ragazze gentilissime, temperatura esterna da relax totale e poi la pizza... impasto ben idratato e morbido, ingredienti di grande qualità e piacevoli alla vista, ben definiti all'assaggio ma allo stesso tempo con grande equilibrio d'insieme. Promosso a pieni voti.

22/06/2025: I have been coming to this restaurant for 65 years, my parents came here before I was born, they always cook divinely, they make pappardelle with hare sauce that are out of this world and the rest is no exception. Well done, keep it up Fabio

01/05/2025: Salve, sono stato oggi a pranzo con la mia compagna, per quanto riguarda il mangiare dire molto buono, poi ho pagato tranquillamente ma riguardando lo scontrino a casa ho notato che mi sono state messe a conto cose che non abbiamo preso, la signora alla cassa dovrebbe stare un po' più attenta quando il cameriere gli comunica cosa è stato mangiato al tavolo dei clienti. Se mangio per 100 euro ti do 100 euro , ma se mangio per 70 non è giusto pagare più di 80. Ci può stare un errore ma 3o4 no.

14/08/2025: Service was very hesitant to serve my family. They were similing towards others and grimacing towards us. They refused to give as a card and insisted to look at menu outside. I don’t now why. Maybe they don’t like children. Maybe they don’t like foreigners. In the end we left without eating there. Sad experience.

07/07/2025: Very nice place in the heart of Ferrara. Good drinks and very kind and helpful staff. The service is fast. The interior is embellished with exposed beams and rough walls. Very suggestive. Highly recommended!

22/07/2025: A true Trattoria like in Italy! Everything you need for a perfect Italian evening is here: fresh ingredients, homemade pasta, and that very special "Dolce Vita" feeling. It's best to arrive around 7 p.m. – it's still wonderfully relaxed then, and the waiters (all super friendly!) take their time. Many speak German, but: A little Italian is twice as much fun – anche se non perfetto! For starters, we had vitello tonnato and homemade pumpkin ravioli – simply a dream, creamy, aromatic, and perfectly seasoned. Accompanied by a glass of I Frati Brolentino, just like in Italy. The main course? Scallops au gratin with freshly grilled shrimp – tender, juicy, and you immediately taste that everything is freshly prepared. In short: If you love Italian cuisine and are looking for a true trattoria feeling, this is the place for you. It gets packed after 8 p.m. – so it's best to arrive early. Ci torneremo secured – mille grazie per questa bella serata!

Besides cooking, one of my greatest passions is eating in restaurants considered fine dining, or at least where the quality of the ingredients reigns supreme. 80% of the time, I'm disappointed because communication sometimes extols characters and places that later turn out to be a waste of flavors and ideas. Here, however, we're talking about something else. We're talking about an attentive, highly trained dining room staff that provides extraordinary service, with the eyes of those who love their work. As well as the kitchen brigade, original ideas, dishes that speak of roots and local tradition. We spent 10 days in Sicily, we ate at 20 restaurants in the guidebook. But you beat them all, even if there's never a real competition, just an awareness of what's offered and how it's done, and you do it excellently. Congratulations

09/08/2025: A typical trattoria that never disappoints, serving traditional dishes prepared to perfection. I personally love the goat when it's in season. The vegetables are plentiful and all delicious, the staff are friendly, and there's that old-fashioned, simple atmosphere that's missing from so many places these days.

17/08/2025: The wait staff is lovely, the young lady is really nice... kind, discreet, and knows her job well. The owner/chef is also very attentive, always coming out to make sure everything is okay. Ask for the cleaning wipes and you'll be surprised... The location is medieval-style... We recommend the tagliolini. Thank you for your hospitality. We'll be back if we have the chance.

03/06/2025: Ho sempre amato questo ristorante. Ottimi gli arrosticini e i piatti della cucina abruzzese. Desserts migliorabili. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Non potrò più andarci perché, dopo una chiamata per prenotare, ho scoperto che non fanno più entrare i cani. Neanche quelli, come la mia anzianotta, che stanno nel passeggino . Non so cosa sia successo, ma, ovviamente, a queste condizioni per me è da scartare.
