28/10/2025: Be very precise with your orders (but I have a feeling that's not necessarily enough)! We sat down and ordered "two non-alcoholic drinks like Gingerino." Two expensive-looking concoctions arrive. I ask for an explanation. "Here, when they ask for non-alcoholic drinks without specifying, they mean these." I start to ask the price, intending to send them back, but the waitress pretends not to hear as she walks away. I glance at the menu on the table and under "non-alcoholic drinks" I see the usual Gingerino, Crodino, and a couple others. Totally normal. It's Sunday, sunny October, happy hour time, and I don't feel like ruining my day with an argument. I go in, pay (basically triple the price), and leave. Never again.

28/09/2025: Sunday, September 29 At 2:40 PM, my wife, our one-month-old son (who was sleeping soundly in his stroller) and I headed to the "Hosterie" restaurant with one goal: to spend Sunday lunch enjoying a delicious carbonara. Despite having 80% of the tables free, the waitress informed us that they were closing and not accepting any more customers. It should be noted that they were scheduled to close at 3:30 PM. Regretfully, we decided to head home, but first we stopped at a nearby shop. Coincidentally, after 15 minutes we passed by the restaurant again and immediately noticed that some new customers had arrived, occupying a table for four and two tables for two. Astonished and, above all, pissed off, we went to ask the waitress for an explanation, who, embarrassed, replied that they had decided to "reopen." 😅 From the lack of welcome we received, we sensed that their only problem was apparently the stroller with the baby (the first was cumbersome, the second annoying). We leave this review with a bitter taste in our mouths because Hosterie has always been one of our favorite places, until this unpleasant episode. We leave a heartfelt piece of advice to the owner: if they have a "no children or no families" policy, please have the courage to write it on a special sign and hang it outside the establishment. 25/10/2025: It's a shame not to find a place that serves Colombian cuisine that's up to par. It's a shame it's a Caribbean restaurant, not a Colombian one, because it doesn't honor Colombian cuisine, at least not in its execution: the chili peppers, a typical sauce that's completely distorted, the empanadas were just okay, the chicharrón was too hard and dry, overcooked and lacking in flavor, the bandeja paisa was okay in presentation but not in flavor, and for the quality, I thought it was expensive. If they improve, I think it could be a good little corner of Colombia in Udine because the place is pretty and charming. Finally, adding a rather short menu made me miss quite a few dishes from our cuisine.

19/10/2025: Beautiful, especially on Saturday nights. There are young people and a wide variety of music, from salsa, bachata, merengue, to reggaeton. I'm ashamed of those who come in, dance, and don't even buy a drink🤮.

29/06/2025: Generally, I like Chinese and Asian food, I often make it myself and I have to admit it's good, well seasoned. And I'll gladly go back there when I'm passing through

22/08/2025: Absolutely not worth a visit! Rude and arrogant staff. After ordering (steak and baby squids), the food was served cold. After a polite complaint and a request for our food to be served warm, especially with steak and grilled dishes, the head chef came to the table and completely lost it, raging, screaming, offering no apology, nothing! ...We'll never be back! I've never experienced such aggression and behavior!

02/09/2025: I tried the bar, and despite the constant reviews, I had a good experience. Honestly, I didn't notice any of the things described in the 1-star reviews. I had a ginseng, and the service was fast and good quality. They probably have some reason to give it a 1-star rating.
