10/03/2025: Anche se era tutto STRAPIENO, ci hanno accolto lo stesso. Due belle frittate, pane e due bicchieri di rosso. Cosa voler di più.? Sempre disponibili. La meio osmiza del Carso, che poi osmiza è riduttivo....

19/04/2025: A must in Trieste, since they opened the current place it has been my point of reference for sandwiches, delicious, plentiful and at a good price. Quiet place to spend an evening with friends. Too bad there isn't a gluten-free option! Otherwise I would go twice as often, but I have friends with celiac disease.

12/03/2025: I heard that the bus would be delayed by 30 minutes, so I went to eat, but it came 10 minutes earlier than the original time, so I couldn't eat a few spoonfuls and had to take it out, but they gave it to me right away!! It's delicious and comes out quickly. 2 minutes after ordering? Haha, it looks like it's caught... It's like adding cooked food on top. As of March 2025, chicken biniyari is 6 euros, lamb is 7 euros, and eggs are 5 euros. The kebab looked good too, but I ordered the biniyari. The prices in Trieste itself are reasonable, but it's still a good value for a meal! The portions are quite large and I am full!

04/03/2025: Tasty kebabs with generous portions, open until midnight, and conveniently located near the main station. P.S. Also tried the pizza, surprisingly good for fast food!

23/03/2025: Always fantastic, I stopped again after a year from the last visit to Trieste... what can I say, Buffet da Gildo never disappoints, friendly staff and food that calling it "excellent" is not enough (so much so that I went back to take away for dinner too). Calamari always top, also the patate in tecia and the strudel delicious. Strong point? The super honest prices 🙂

08/02/2025: The ice cream makers are super nice. The ice creams are very good and the food in general is great. The bathroom is dirty but not too much.

02/01/2025: Very good ice cream. Even in winter I like to eat it. The pasticciotto and the cannoli should be reviewed, since the latter was particularly "soft". Therefore, I definitely recommend ice cream and in particular, as in the photo, the brioche with ice cream just to raise the glycemic index to prepare for the day at work or after a long day at work, also combining it with a good coffee. Highly recommended.

20/04/2025: I have never in my life experienced something so rude like in thus place we went deove 10km from another town just to eat wiener. Finally we arrived and only one table was occupied all orher tables were free. We kindly asked if there is a table for two. At no table was any reserved sign or whatsoever but the guy at the bar said sorry totally full no table. A saw in his eyes the disgust just because we asked in english that he dont want serve us or guve us a table. This is so disgusting i wish i have never tried to come here. I saw negativr comments before mentikning the rude behaviour of this gentleman but somehow i ignored them. So i hope this kind of people will sion or later the concequences of shutting down their business.

15/04/2025: Trieste gave us a welcome we didn't suspect, the warmth and embrace of a kind city. We honored and said goodbye to this place with our last dinner at the Vecio Buffet Marascutti. What can I say... the icing on the cake of a stay that will remain engraved forever in our eyes and in our hearts. It is superfluous to list every dish tasted, everything was wonderfully perfect! Thanks to the hosts for their competence and friendliness. By far the place we liked the most. If you are a lover of good taste, in every sense, you cannot miss this little pearl set in one of the most fascinating and refined buildings in Trieste

06/04/2025: Qualità del cibo davvero scarsa. Pizze senza ne arte ne parte, pasta poco abbondante per il prezzo e soprattutto con ingredienti di scarsa qualità, nello specifico i molluschi. Il gusto inesistente. Una persona al nostro tavolo ha preso antipasto di cozze che erano davvero scarne e senza gusto e poche ore dopo è stato piuttosto male. Non ci torneremo mai più e non lo consigliamo a nessuno

29/03/2025: The last review I left 6 years ago was exceptional. I returned after 6 years going for sure without looking at any reviews and as soon as I arrived I found a different atmosphere. The food in addition to not being abundant was also mediocre in quality. In my opinion too expensive for a place like this. 2 appetizers and 1 mixed fried food + 2 bottles of ½ liter of water 74 euros.

29/03/2025: Il locale è molto carino, piccolo e accogliente. Il personale gentile. Abbiamo ordinato il tradizionale piatto di antipasti. A detta di tutti molto deludente, abbondante ma le cozze rinsecchite, insalata di pesce insapore, tanta insalata e qualche crostino durissimo. Turistico.
