In an enchanting historic venue, paying just 1 euro for an excellent coffee at the counter is a pleasant surprise. Complete with hot chocolate to accompany it. Compliments !

Delicious lattes accompanied by a glass of hot chocolate. The "love letter" and the "zabaglione roll" are highly recommended.

Very good food and great variety of choices Staff not so friendly

Passing through Trieste we decided try one of the Pasticceria and this one came up on on our search. We had a little wait outside before we got served (was very busy). The choice was quite overwhelming but the friendly server made some recommendations after i asked for something local/traditional. I tried the dolce del giorno which was delicious. My companion one of the Chioux pastries and some hot chocolate which went down a treat. Would have loved to have sampled more cake and taken a box to go but sadly our journey wouldnt allow for it. Would definately revisit!

This historic pastry shop, Bomboniera in name and in fact, preserves the Austro-Hungarian atmosphere and furnishings of Trieste at the end of the 19th century, with the novelty of service at outdoor tables. To be seen! I returned there remembering the pastry wonders that I had enjoyed there more than forty years ago, when I was a young and greedy student at the local university. I found the same specialties as back then: an exquisite return to the past not to be missed for anyone visiting splendid Trieste.

A historic venue known both by Trieste and tourists. Super traditional Hungarian pastry. I recommend the dobos, the rigojanci but also frillole and krapfen. The interiors of the place are stuck in past centuries and you can enjoy an excellent coffee accompanied by a taste of chocolate. To try!

Service is friendly but slow and not very attentive. They walked by me multiple times serving people who arrived later. Pastry is very good. Only go there if you have plenty of time or only want to do take out.
