16/03/2026: During the Olio Capitale fair, we stayed at a hotel near this Trattoria. We were returning home tired from the event, so one evening we decided to find somewhere close to eat and go to bed. A few steps later, we found Trattoria Primavera: from the outside, it seemed like the perfect place to eat well and spend a fair amount. And so it was! Inside, there's a counter with classic appetizers, made the way they used to be: • Breaded eggplant • Meatloaf • Fried zucchini The whole thing was perfect for an aperitif before sitting down to dinner. At the table, we were surprised: we ordered a tagliata and a fillet with parmesan cream, mushrooms, and porcini mushrooms. They turned out to be excellent dishes, and above all, plentiful! As a side dish, we ordered a second portion of pan-fried sauerkraut: homemade with sausage!! Amazing! Cabernet Franc on tap: worth a try. After refueling, we made friends with the regulars, and being in Trieste, when you start to get along with people, it's an unforgettable experience. The amount of homemade grappa we drank, sourced from the nearby region, hasn't been officially revealed yet... but the evening was both engaging and unforgettable. Well done!!

08/03/2026: Family seafood dinner on a Friday. Everything was excellent, but the trio of fish tartare was a true culinary gem! Friendly and impeccable service. Well done!

07/03/2026: Truly exceptional seafood restaurant. I've never tasted such delicious raw fish: incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. The waiters were excellent, always kind and with just the right amount of humor to put you at ease. They recommended dishes impeccably, and every suggestion was spot on. The restaurant is also beautiful, with a refined and elegant interior. A truly excellent experience, I'll definitely be back!

01/03/2026: After years, I've had to order from a place with no menu or wine list. I don't even joke with the waiter, telling him I'm having a hard time and would like to know the cost of my order, and he tells me to "don't worry." We paid €155, which would have been €110-120 in much cooler places in Trieste. The service was also too homely for a seafood place, and considering the price, it's not worth mentioning. Overall, it was significantly below expectations.

12/03/2026: Excellent central location, but parking is difficult. The Illy coffee is excellent. Snacks and lunches are also available. Service is quick and efficient, but it can be noisy when it's crowded.

12/03/2026: Tonight I was here with my relatives for a birthday cake and the atmosphere was very nice and friendly. The waiters are all wonderful and very kind. It's my first time in Italy and experiences with people in the bars like this are priceless. The macaroni and cake were so delicious. Thank you for your hospitality! See you again! 😃

11/03/2026: Pleasant atmosphere. Good cuisine, large portions and friendly staff. We treated ourselves to cold cuts, various frittatas and desserts. Too bad it's only open the first 10 days of the month. For anyone who is more interested in what they put in their mouths than how expensive the equipment is and how "decorated" the dishes are.

04/04/2026: We had our last evening in Trieste here, and what a perfect ending it was! Every single dish was prepared with great care and tasted absolutely amazing. The spaghetti carbonara was without a doubt the best we've ever eaten—simply perfect! We especially want to commend the service: so warm, attentive, and friendly, just as you could wish for. We felt completely at ease the entire time. The atmosphere is simply wonderful: cozy, authentic, and you just feel completely at ease! Thank you so much for this unforgettable evening. We will definitely be back when we're in Trieste again <3

02/04/2026: We waited 50 minutes for two plates of gnocchi that tasted ordinary and were overly floury... avoid! I assume the high rating is due to its proximity to the station.

13/11/2025: We used to come here often, but now we've changed our minds: the portions are once normal and once very small, we don't know why 🤷🏻‍♀️ You have to order three courses to be satisfied, no way!

23/03/2026: Maybe it was a bad night, Monday, but at 8:45 pm there was nothing interesting to eat: meatballs, fried eggplant, and sardine crostini. There were plenty of people... tipsy... sociable, but perhaps too much so.

15/03/2026: A nice little cosy restaurant. Fantastic service, couldn’t fault the staff. However, both mine and my partner’s fish dishes were under seasoned and not very flavourful. A good place if you like milder mellower flavours.

28/02/2026: The food is ok, but everything happens so quickly that the atmosphere is a bit tense and although the staff is friendly, it feels like you're at a fast food joint. You come, you eat, you leave.

22/02/2026: As a Caserta native, I can say I appreciated the dough, the toppings, and the homely flavor of this pizza. It almost brought a tear to my eye. A rare pearl in a city that can be sad like Trieste. Congratulations guys, and the free zeppoline with takeaway are a touch of class and added heart. Really good.

12/10/2025: The hotel is conveniently located, practically halfway between Trieste and the nearest Slovenian towns, Izola and Piran. The property features a beautiful, spacious terrace offering stunning sea views and the beautiful sunsets. There's a lovely, large outdoor pool. Inside, there's a spacious breakfast room for a delicious sweet and savory breakfast. The rooms are furnished with slightly vintage but decent furniture, and have comfortable beds. The bathrooms are large, but the showers are a bit limited. The hotel has parking and is located in a very quiet area. The manager, Mirella, is very kind and hospitable. Overall, a highly recommended property.

15/12/2025: Believe me, the pizza at this place is extraordinary, sublime, superb. You can tell a good pizza just by looking at it... Number One's cooking method makes it the best pizza I've had in a while!!! Fresh ingredients, not too few, not too many. The perfect pizza. And not only that, but also the eggplant, the fried calamari... Enza the chef works magic with her hands, and Lina makes the restaurant a welcoming and family-friendly place. The sausage and broccoli rabe are just too much!

06/12/2025: Fabulous pizzeria! Among the delicious pizzas, I recommend the panuozzo. Try it and believe it. The owner, Mr. Ciccio, is great.

28/01/2026: Small but well-kept, with a kids' corner with various games and very helpful and friendly staff. The menu is a bit unusual because it doesn't include first courses, so you have to be a meat lover. The crostini with Patanegra lard are excellent.

23/03/2026: The wooden atmosphere is a bit dated but quaint and genuinely pleasant. When we arrived, we found a typical Trieste lady who kindly took our order... it's a shame the bread never arrived with the appetizers. Good food; the seafood spaghetti was better than the clam spaghetti, in my opinion. A positive experience; we ate well, and the quality/price ratio was fair! Recommended restaurant 👍

20/03/2026: I was solo one month visiting variety of E Europe countries & decided to stop in Trieste for 3 nights. The Melanzane alla Parmigiana is the best in the universe! It was so good, I asked for another plate! And, I am petite female 😆
