The decor is charming and the atmosphere is wonderful. They always make sure there's complimentary water and delicious snacks available. The staff that evening were truly delightful. We had such a lovely chat and instantly fell in love with this bar. It was a fantastic evening, and I highly recommend everyone check it out.

08/08/2026: A place from another era that specializes in boiled meat, a perfect choice because they do it well. I recommend the boiled meat, beer, sauerkraut, and strudel combo to immerse yourself in the Austro-Hungarian roots of Trieste/Trst. EXCEPTIONAL!

08/08/2026: Amazing. You wouldn't expect boiled meat to be this good. We went in for a sandwich, and returned for the mixed boiled meat platter after 2 minutes.

Ideal for a good breakfast, a quick lunch, or an aperitif. A very popular and well-known place in Trieste, where you'll gladly return. Recommended!

03/08/2026: I'll start by saying I've always had a great time at Bar X. But today, a friend and I ordered two iced coffees. We ordered them sweet, but just a little. They brought us two incredibly sweet, UNDRINKABLE coffees! They tasted like concentrated sugar mixed with coffee... We should have rejected them immediately. Totally unbelievable, it almost seemed like a prank... Hmm...

The service (with info on the beers is not insignificant!) is very kind and smiling, it's an understatement!! There are tables outside but inside with the climate in summer it's excellent!! Even if Muggia is always breezy with the breeze from the sea ❤️ the place inside is beautiful!!! We will definitely be back!!! Heartfelt recommendation ❤️❤️❤️

29/07/2026: I stopped, captivated by the sign that said "bar, restaurant, pizza, bread - organic shop," thinking the food was organic too. However, it wasn't specified on the menu whether what I ordered was organic. Even the condiments (oil, vinegar, etc.) weren't organic, so... I had salmon carpaccio, which was decent, and a cabbage salad with woody, flavorless cabbage. The coffee wasn't organic either, but still good. The price was normal. I asked if it was possible to turn down the air conditioning or change seats. The kind waitress accommodated me by turning it down and then turning it back up as soon as I got up to go to the bathroom. She could have warned me if it couldn't be turned down and I'd ask to move tables before the food arrived.

02/12/2025: A pub with excellent food! We went to Sax Pub around 11 pm, with about 15 people, without a reservation. They managed to accommodate us despite the lack of advance notice. The sandwiches are delicious, some truly enormous! The quality of the meat is excellent, and the burgers are all homemade. A great place to grab a good sandwich, with some vegetarian options, though none of us chose them. I highly recommend this intimate place. They even offered us limoncello at the end of the meal!

28/11/2025: I order sandwiches from them every now and then. They're fantastic. The pub sax is excellent. Must try!
