28/06/2025: Went several times during my stay in Trieste. I took with my friends the group dishes of mixed boiled meat and sausages. Decent quality of food, great atmosphere, friendly service and available for a joke.

28/06/2025: The place was recommended to us by some Trieste passers-by on the street, and it was an excellent recommendation. It is historic, famous for boiled meats, even in summer 😅 in addition to boiled meats you can get sandwiches filled with your choice, with a great variety of choices. It doesn't cost much, but the trick is wanting to try different things, in this way you don't even realize that you are accumulating a good amount. The sandwich costs €6, but with just one you won't be satisfied. In the end, the 4 of us spent €98. It is right in the center, next to Piazza Unità d' Italia. It is absolutely worth trying!

09/04/2025: A feelgood, simple and quality bar in the centre. A must from now until the end of October is to enjoy a cocktail (try the Margarita!) outdoors sitting in the little square. The accompanying appetizers are excellent. Courteous, confidential and professional owner.

06/07/2025: Average pizza, TAKE AWAY ONLY, "fast" preparation. A lot of general confusion.

06/07/2025: Really very good pizzas, with quality ingredients and plenty of them. The girls who answer the phone are always kind and the delivery is fast!

26/06/2025: Food was really tasty. Seafood was fresh. The only thing is that the waiter brought us water, didn’t mention that they are not free, and charged us for it later… otherwise it is the best restaurant I had in Trieste.

29/06/2025: Classico "buffett" triestino, ossia trattoria semplice da pasto veloce. Quindi non posto raffinato, chi cerca questo non venga qui, ma verace e genuino. Quindi cucina frutto delle contaminazioni di questa città di confine fra le culture.

18/06/2025: We needed sausages, ham and sauerkraut before leaving Trieste and this is the place to satisfy that need. Highly recommend for that type of food. Service was fast and friendly; patio seating very nice on a warm breezy evening.

12/07/2025: We were here recently and were hoping to have other dishes besides fish to choose from. Unfortunately, since the restaurant only serves fish, there wasn't anything we liked. The staff, however, were incredibly friendly and honest – they even recommended an alternative restaurant and didn't even charge us for drinks. If you're looking for a good fish restaurant and value friendly service, this is definitely the place to go. Definitely recommended for fish lovers!

28/06/2025: In the port area for work we are looking for a restaurant to have lunch and given the heat we would like to be inside with air conditioning. This is the only place we found that also serves inside, but if you want they also have tables outside. Service is attentive, maybe just a little slow since the place is still quite empty. Definitely good dishes, good quality of food. Clean toilets.

26/06/2025: Restaurant for tourists. Medium-high prices, medium-low quality of food. Marinated mussels and seafood spaghetti unlikely, grilled calamari passable, fillet with green pepper decent.

25/06/2025: The best carbonara and tiramisu I've ever had. Whenever I'm nearby I try the delicacies at Al Barattolo.

14/06/2025: I am surprised by all these positive reviews, apparently people like to be made fun of in a bad way. There is no menu, the owner decides everything by acting arrogant and thinking he is nice, wine without a label, mediocre food and super salty bill with the trick of a discount if you pay in cash... receipt that unknown... you are happy!

08/06/2025: I have been to this pizzeria and I was really satisfied. The pizzas are excellent: well-leavened dough, light and quality ingredients that really make the difference. The choice of desserts is also varied. The environment is welcoming and you can breathe a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is young and kind. Absolutely honest prices, especially considering the quality of the offer. Definitely a place to mark among the favorites. I will gladly return!
