30/05/2025: One star because we ate well but the experience was not there. Wrong timing from start to finish. We waited more than 10 minutes at the entrance to be seated (with reservation), 20 minutes sitting at the table with only water without bread, wine or simply welcome. During the tasting we ate a course without accompanying wines (provided for by the itinerary), they noticed but only remedied it at the end of the dinner when we pointed it out. Extremely approximate service and not up to the standard of the cuisine. Too many tables for the staff available, noisy environment with a continuous clatter of dishes coming from a kitchen with a door constantly open to the room. Ultimately perhaps a good level restaurant for foreign tourists but if you want a starred experience in Friuli there are other places. And I repeat experience because the cuisine in this place is not to blame if we exclude the very banal and not very crumbly frico to welcome us.

23/06/2025: We were there for the start of the evening at 7 p.m. We had called a few days in advance to make a reservation, which I think was absolutely sensible. The restaurant has limited seating and exudes a very intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The food, the hospitality, the service, and the restaurant itself were all absolutely first-class. It was a wonderful evening, and we would have loved to try everything on the menu. All the dishes we chose were absolutely fantastic. For us, it's an absolute insider tip when in Trieste.

22/06/2025: Small simple place with few seats. Genuine flavors and a menu that invites you to taste. We fell in love with the chickpea cream❤️. The friendliness of the staff combined with the excellent service make the experience very pleasant.

14/07/2025: I've been here several times with my wife and have always been very satisfied with the quality of the food, the ambience, and the value for money. This time we were here with a group of 10 friends and, with the very attentive service, we were able to arrange a special menu (the same for everyone): a small portion of each of the offered starters for each of us, accompanied by the matching wine (from the in-house winery), and dessert at the end. The quantity was just right; all the dishes were very good and offered a good overview of Friulian specialties. The price was more than reasonable; we were all very satisfied. As with all good restaurants, always make a reservation!

10/07/2025: This place was recommended to us by the lady at our hotel. Although our expectations were already high, as it was described as the best in Cividale, they were not only confirmed but even exceeded. The dishes were each better than the last, the quality of the ingredients was exceptional, all accompanied by their excellent home-produced wine and, above all, the incredibly kind staff, especially the owner. Highly recommended! Thank you!

14/06/2025: A very appealing menu with typical regional dishes. Extremely friendly and attentive staff make you feel welcome and appreciated. The historic building is in excellent condition overall. There are many exhibits, some dating back to the Imperial and Royal era, as well as regional everyday objects and a beautiful traditional costume, which can also be seen in a video at the Scissor Grinder Museum in Stolvizza.

Buonissimi i piatti… un fuori menu tartare di gamberetti e avocado sublime! Buoni anche i paccheri e il vitello tonnato! Deliziosi anche i dolci (mousse al cioccolato e frutti di bosco 🔝)

20/06/2025: A beautiful, small, typically Italian restaurant. Completely unassuming from the outside, the dishes are wonderfully surprising and exceptionally delicious. Typical Italian regional cuisine, exactly what you want when you're on vacation.
