08/06/2026: First time on Mount Zoncolan, we spent pleasant hours at the Tamai refuge, not only for the hospitality and attentive service, but above all for the excellent dishes we enjoyed.
07/06/2026: I must say that this refuge exceeds all expectations, both in terms of its kindness and the quality and care of its dishes. The presentation of the dishes is also meticulously crafted! We ate cured meats and cheeses with giardiniera, made with local vegetables, which is exceptional. The homemade cjarcions are exquisite, and to finish, there is a unique selection of desserts. The kitchen staff is excellent!!

27/05/2026: In the restaurant, if a table has been reserved by a large, ill-mannered group, it can become annoying if these customers make an unbearable racket. Since the restaurant management doesn't intervene, and as it happened to me, despite the manager's apologies, I had to leave.

Trust these people; you'll be taken care of from the appetizers to the final reception. They'll give you the best and make your day truly unforgettable!

The dishes were decent, well-presented, but lacked any particular elements that made them stand out. Overall, a satisfactory experience, which could be significantly improved with greater attention to speed of service.

But the cuisine offered, despite its simplicity, is of excellent quality and very carefully prepared.

07/05/2026: Very attentive and friendly staff. When we arrived soaking wet after a rainy day on our bikes, the hostess took excellent care of us.
The room was very clean, and dinner was beautifully presented and delicious. The self-service breakfast in the communal kitchen was well-prepared and offered a good variety of options. We appreciated the secure and safe storage of our bikes in the bike garage. We would gladly recommend this accommodation.

13/06/2026: We visited this café during our stay and were delighted. My wife and I each ordered a coffee with hot chocolate and cream, which was absolutely delicious – wonderfully creamy, aromatic, and perfectly prepared.
I also tried a traditional vanilla pastry filled with a generous amount of fresh vanilla cream. It was incredibly tasty, fresh, and just the right balance of sweet and creamy. My wife opted for a shortbread cookie, which, although rather small, was absolutely delicious.
The quality of the food and drinks was excellent, and you can tell that freshness and flavor are paramount here. We would definitely return and highly recommend this café.

08/06/2026: A FOODIE’S SATISFYING LUNCHEON in Trieste. A totally chance visit, being famished and too heated up on an unusually hot spring day.
The Menu is very short and sweet, always a good sign of cook/chef mastery of his/her craft. It’s a surf-and-turf menu.
🤗🤗🤗 the star of the day is the Trio of Seafood Carpaccio. Lovely crudo of three fishes of the day.
🤗🤗🤗 an equal star is the Sardines in Venetian Sauce. Very flavorful and soft whole sardines with surprisingly crunchy bones…
👍👍👍 The Triestino Goulash either with Gnocchi or Polenta is a sumptuous stew… silken sauces with tender chunks of braised beef…
Service is very good.
A small restaurant with a very good outdoor seating.

For the first time, a restaurant served me exactly the same dishes as the other guests, but without wheat flour, and I didn't have to give up anything! I'm only posting a few photos, but there were so many more dishes. Thank you!

26/01/2026: This is our third time at this restaurant, and it has undoubtedly become our favorite in Trieste.
Excellent quality products, cooked with great flavor and respect for the ingredients.
A variety of dishes, each one better than the last.
Excellent atmosphere and service: we always love the quiet and elegant atmosphere. Although some soft music or jazz would be even better, as it's often too quiet.
Excellent value for money!

08/03/2026: With no doubt the best spot in town to have either aperitivo or after dinner drink. The selection of bottles and on draught beer has no comparison and so their quality. Prices are more than affordable. Inside is pretty peculiar and outside there are many tables but mostly full. Not for those who look for chic places but for the ones who seek for good cocktails.
06/03/2026: Do you like listening to high-quality music? All accompanied by delicious beers and a welcoming atmosphere? This place is for you... I go back whenever I can.

11/04/2026: Beautiful apartment and would be a nice location if not for a nightclub right across the street. It's IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP on a Saturday. They are blasting music so loud you feel like you're in the middle of the club. Definitely would not recommend to someone who actually wants a peaceful weekend
18/03/2026: I'm grateful for the owner's kindness and helpfulness. He spontaneously resolved a mixup with Booking.com. Since he couldn't confirm my reservation, he found me an alternative with the same price and conditions and went out of his way to facilitate my transition.
