21/07/2026: What a lovely place to eat! A dreamy ambiance in the garden, excellent regional cuisine with a selection of their own and international wines. The service is warm and attentive, and you immediately feel welcome! We had a wonderful time there, and the short walk from Breg was definitely worth it.

The owner and family were helpful and friendly, the service excellent, and the dishes were beautifully presented. The atmosphere was very refined and elegant. Their wines are exceptional; I thoroughly enjoyed the tasting of their whites, and the reds were also excellent, although I personally didn't try them.
It's a shame the evening was rainy and cool, but we'll definitely be back.

08/06/2026: If you're looking for a reasonably priced B&B, visit this one. You'll be amazed...good value, traditional home-cooked local cuisine, excellent rooms, and a relaxing location.
27/05/2026: In the restaurant, if a table has been reserved by a large, ill-mannered group, it can become annoying if these customers make an unbearable racket. Since the restaurant management doesn't intervene, and as it happened to me, despite the manager's apologies, I had to leave.

But the cuisine offered, despite its simplicity, is of excellent quality and very carefully prepared.

07/05/2026: Very attentive and friendly staff. When we arrived soaking wet after a rainy day on our bikes, the hostess took excellent care of us.
The room was very clean, and dinner was beautifully presented and delicious. The self-service breakfast in the communal kitchen was well-prepared and offered a good variety of options. We appreciated the secure and safe storage of our bikes in the bike garage. We would gladly recommend this accommodation.

13/06/2026: Excellent cuisine. Flavorful, plentiful, and absolutely affordable. When we entered, the (I assume) owner welcomed us and helped us order, with excellent results. He also took the time to explain the food to us, borrowing a local's dish. Priceless! The ambiance is a bit dated, but in this case, it makes you feel like you're not in Italy, but in the Horn of Africa, heightening the immersion and atmosphere. Finally, unexpectedly, the coffee was also very good. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back.

19/07/2026: An incredibly beautiful café inside. It's said to be the oldest in Trieste. It has a very high ceiling, the bar looks fantastic and leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is incredibly friendly, the food and drinks are beautifully presented and delicious. There's a bookshop to the side of the café where you can also sit comfortably.

08/06/2026: A FOODIE’S SATISFYING LUNCHEON in Trieste. A totally chance visit, being famished and too heated up on an unusually hot spring day.
The Menu is very short and sweet, always a good sign of cook/chef mastery of his/her craft. It’s a surf-and-turf menu.
🤗🤗🤗 the star of the day is the Trio of Seafood Carpaccio. Lovely crudo of three fishes of the day.
🤗🤗🤗 an equal star is the Sardines in Venetian Sauce. Very flavorful and soft whole sardines with surprisingly crunchy bones…
👍👍👍 The Triestino Goulash either with Gnocchi or Polenta is a sumptuous stew… silken sauces with tender chunks of braised beef…
Service is very good.
A small restaurant with a very good outdoor seating.

25/12/2025: An excellent Christmas lunch, even for me, who can't eat wheat. For the first time, a restaurant served me exactly the same dishes as the other guests, but without wheat flour, and I didn't have to give up anything! I'm only posting a few photos, but there were so many more dishes. Thank you!

08/03/2026: With no doubt the best spot in town to have either aperitivo or after dinner drink. The selection of bottles and on draught beer has no comparison and so their quality. Prices are more than affordable. Inside is pretty peculiar and outside there are many tables but mostly full. Not for those who look for chic places but for the ones who seek for good cocktails.
06/03/2026: Do you like listening to high-quality music? All accompanied by delicious beers and a welcoming atmosphere? This place is for you... I go back whenever I can.

26/01/2026: This is our third time at this restaurant, and it has undoubtedly become our favorite in Trieste.
Excellent quality products, cooked with great flavor and respect for the ingredients.
A variety of dishes, each one better than the last.
Excellent atmosphere and service: we always love the quiet and elegant atmosphere. Although some soft music or jazz would be even better, as it's often too quiet.
Excellent value for money!
