03/04/2024: We were there on Easter Sunday and only discovered the restaurant by chance. Despite the low season, there was a notice on the door saying "The restaurant is full". It can't be that bad then. We tried it anyway without a reservation because we didn't want to keep looking in the rain. Restaurant was actually full, mostly Italians and a few Austrians. Nevertheless, the owner was able to get a table ready for us after a few minutes. Already the first positive experience. Until then, we enjoyed a gin and tonic at the bar. The menu is not very large in terms of both selection and format. The most important thing: three T-bone steaks of different origins for 8EUR/100g, which I don't think is exorbitant. You can choose bottled wine directly from the shelf, which I think is very good; I always prefer the tactile experience of a bottle to a wine list. Prices around 30-40EUR. The next positive experience. When I was choosing the wine, I discovered the highlight: the steaks (and fish) are prepared on an open fire. The only point of criticism: the side vegetables came a little too early and were therefore only lukewarm when the steak arrived. There was a large selection of desserts, tiramisu is always good and the crème brûlée came to the table scorching, espresso was excellent as it is almost everywhere in Italy. The conclusion was a nice chat with the boss (thanks again for the cake and grappa!) What can I say, completely satisfied and I wish we had discovered the place earlier. In summer I would definitely recommend booking a few days in advance.

28/03/2024: The food is 5 stars for the quality, grilled meat is very good and cooked with skill, the service is 2 stars because Francisco is nice otherwise I would have given one star. You can't wait more than an hour between starter and main course and the innkeeper's answer certainly can't be to come on a Thursday if you don't want to wait. Personally, despite the quality of the food and wines, I will not go back again, also because for what we spent the service should have been impeccable. Francisco was a pleasure, but once is enough

18/03/2024: What a wonderful place. Everything we had was delicious, but the Bistecca alla Fiorentina was definitely the highlight. The service was excellent and everyone was very kind to our seven-year-old son. Highly recommended!

02/04/2024: I personally didn't appreciate the food on the Easter menu, but - crucially - I ate the vegetarian menu which, in fact, was like the meat menu but without meat; example: rice with herbs and bacon becomes rice with herbs; vegetable salad with almonds and strips becomes vegetable salad with almonds. (Just to give you an idea; however, my wife says that I am dishonest because when I ate - actually - beetroot tartare, which was very good, the others had rabbit rolls). Nice environment, but access road full of holes. Courteous staff.

30/03/2024: Halfway between a cabin and a farm, it blends in with the surrounding environment in the hills north of Udine. Very tasty farmyard ragù, appetizers with carefully chosen raw materials and high quality pastry desserts. The giant fireplace fills the room and promises well for barbecues…

11/03/2024: Pranzo con tavolata di amici e conoscenti. Era da tanto che volevo tornare a mangiare in questo bel ristorante, che non mi ha lasciato delusa. Carne eccellente, strepitoso anche il piattino di radicchio di Treviso condito con non mi ricordo che, tartara semplicissima ma anche qui la qualità conta, e molto buono anche il tiramisu' . Il fogolar centrale ovviamente è il top. Molto bene anche il servizio. Conto adeguato (70 a testa)

Super friendly and friendly staff... Beautiful and well-kept environment... highly recommended for those who love good meat cooked on the grill masterfully!! I will definitely be happy to return 😊

06/04/2024: Ate very well, the steak and the fillet were really excellent as was the Florentine steak. We returned after years and the new management did not disappoint.

31/03/2024: We were in 2 families, including Florentine, first and second courses, we spent almost €300 and no one deigned to offer a coffee or a digestive. The food was good but I won't go back there again, I hate cheap people.

05/02/2024: I booked lunch 2 months in advance and it was worth it. The room is small but comfortable and clean. Our group was received with courtesy and sympathy. As a welcome we had a bottle of very good Dry prosecco. The food was excellent! Especially the polenta with cheeses was phenomenal. I really liked knowing that the menu is based on local products of each season. The red wine that accompanied lunch was light and left a good taste on the palate without disturbing the flavor of the meal. We ended lunch with coffee and coffee killer; a grappa with a clear and pleasant flavour. Prosecco, wine and grappa are local products. All this was accompanied by the kindness of the owners, husband and wife. From the music and joy of all the guests present who, despite not knowing each other, shared the desire to have fun all together. Overall the price is right.
