The host was very pleasant and expertly recommended what we could eat, pairing it with top-quality wines.
The food was extraordinary.
The restaurant is delicious and has only a few tables, so it's advisable to book in advance to avoid an empty stomach.
Excellent in every way.

01/12/2025: "Trattoria" because the atmosphere is warm and family-friendly, and the cuisine offers mostly local dishes. The dishes are elaborate, well-balanced, and of excellent quality.
The staff is numerous, professional, and fast—a real treat.
This place is always a great choice, even when it's busy. I highly recommend making a reservation.

Friendly and competent service.
01/12/2025: The beers are excellent (it depends on your taste), but the selection is wide and expertly served. The wall of spirits also has everything you could want. The food, from what we tried, is equally good and varied, from sandwiches to fried foods to more elaborate dishes.
All this in a pub that evokes an Irish or Scottish atmosphere, or whatever you'd like, with the music merely providing background music.
Behind the bar, you'll find a welcoming person who seems to know his stuff, so once you enter, trust and rely on him.

The restaurant offers sophisticated dishes and gluten-free options, and you can't leave without a dessert: the hazelnut and chocolate cake is a real treat. Last but not least, the staff is courteous and friendly. Highly recommended!

13/11/2025: Impossible to book, in the past I called a couple of times, everything was full, during the week I called well in advance at times when they would be open, one morning between 12 and 1.30 pm I called 6 times a couple of times they hung up on me the other 4 they didn't answer, the next day I called back a couple of times, always during opening hours, no answer, I went elsewhere.

I asked the staff for advice on what to pair with chestnut (a seasonal flavor), and they absolutely nailed it!
Mascarpone cream + chestnut, truly a top combination.
18/10/2025: The best Tiramisu and Pistachio icecream I have ever had.
The rest of the tastes was also delicious, but the tiramisu was wow!

A welcoming place, an elegant atmosphere with background music that's not unpleasant, but actually accompanies you throughout your dinner. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly.

13/12/2025: Excellent restaurant in the city center and one of the few, if not the only, places where you can dine until after 3 pm. Delicious Friulian cuisine. It closes at 4 pm and is not open in the evenings.

04/12/2025: A delightful discovery on a late November evening. It almost felt like a ghost town, with so many closed bars and restaurants, but we were welcomed with warmth and kindness at Trattoria Ginevra.
A simple place with a curious decor that exudes authenticity and family warmth. The food is of the highest quality, and just looking at it tells you how carefully it was prepared, and your palate will tell you the rest. Highly recommended.

27/11/2025: I've been going there or ordering them ever since they opened. The best ravioli in Trieste (especially the chicken curry ones!) are juicy and incredibly filling. You can tell they put so much care into making them. I'll never get tired of them!

The menu is a perfect balance between variety and quantity, offering a good selection without being overwhelming.
I really enjoyed the dishes; they were served quickly and I had no problems.
The staff was welcoming and answered every question and explained every dish I had questions about.

Excellent service, attentive and polite staff.
21/11/2025: Warm and welcoming atmosphere, very good food. The only flaw was the timing, as we finished dinner in two and a half hours, so take your time!
