01/02/2026: Warm and welcoming atmosphere with a charming outdoor view. The menu is a carefully curated blend of tradition and a touch of innovation. We ordered two appetizers, two first courses, and two desserts, all truly delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent, friendly, and fast, with the (unsurprising) added bonus of attentive service to our two 10-month-old children. Highly recommended!

01/02/2026: Excellent osteria where you can eat Friulian cuisine revisited in an elegant way. We had a great time, the service was impeccable and very fast, the wine list obviously highlights local labels, and the price was in line with the type of restaurant.

20/11/2025: On Saturday, November 15, 2025, a friend and I were looking for a typical Trieste place where we could eat a good hot ham sandwich and some other delicacies, as true Triestine people often do. Luckily, the 5 or 6 places we usually go to were all closed... it was 2:45 PM... I say fortunately because when we arrived at Barriera, we looked at each other and said together, "Let's go there," seeing everything open. We found all the staff professional, friendly, and welcoming, and they seated us with a smile. We immediately ordered 2 ham and eggplant sandwiches, which were amazing, 1 ham and gorgonzola, which was even better, 2 beers, and 300 grams of ham for home, since just the thought of having already finished it made your mouth water, and all at a very fair total price. We used to go to 5 or 6 places for years, now we'll only go to one place... "Salumeria a mano" Go there and you'll hit the mark. Congratulations to everyone Staff...Alessandro and Rea will be back to you very soon.

09/11/2025: Everything was exceptional! Luckily, we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, which isn't as famous as others. We had a wonderful meal (an A+ for everything), home-cooked food, and not the usual fried calamari you find everywhere, but seasonal dishes prepared with great skill. The attention to detail was meticulous, and the place was very pleasant inside and out, not to make up for the crowds, but to pamper guests. I appreciated the staff, who were much friendlier than at any other restaurant in Lignano, but at the same time impeccable in their service. I didn't have to wait long for my food, and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend it to everyone, even those with children. I also really appreciated two other things: the tray in the bathroom with products available for guests in case of emergency (a fantastic idea) and the message on the menu (I won't tell you, you'll have to read it). My family and I felt truly welcomed!

11/01/2026: A restaurant with a vintage atmosphere, the atmosphere is quiet and you can still feel that sense of politeness and kindness that has become rare today. The dishes are very good and plentiful, cooked with care and without unnecessary frills. The spaghetti with clams is highly recommended: flavorful, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. A place you'll gladly return to, to eat well and feel at ease.

The camera is served by two gentlemen and listens to all the richest of our pictures, but it is also spoken in Italian and not spoken in detail. Le pizze erano molto buone. The second sera, it is persino ricordato quali bevande avevamo ordinato la sera prima. Nostra nipote voleva solo cozze, but he doesn't have to say anything about the menu. If there is a problem, it is also the problem. Nel complesso, due serate meravigliosis. If we need to return to the area, we will gladly return. Thank you again to the kind waiter. My husband, my granddaughter, and I were here for dinner last Saturday and Sunday. The waiter who served us was very friendly and attentive to our little one's requests, even though we spoke hardly any Italian and he didn't speak German. The pizzas were very good. On the second evening, he even remembered which drinks we had ordered the night before. Our granddaughter only wanted mussels, even though they weren't explicitly listed on the menu. But no problem, they made it happen for the princess. All in all, two wonderful evenings. If we are ever in the area again, we will gladly return. Many thanks again to the kind waiter.

24/01/2026: Welcoming atmosphere, impeccable professional service, with attention to detail that few have, excellent food, exceptional raw fish, compliments to all the staff.

17/01/2026: Impeccable. Elegant and refined, excellent service: unobtrusive yet attentive and thorough. We showed up with three gluttons and left full with two raw appetizers and one hot one, three first courses, and a taste of the dish of the day, fish soup. A bottle of wine and two glasses each were included. Everything was truly excellent, with the only dish slightly below par being the tagliolini with shrimp and Treviso radicchio, while the spaghetti with clams and bottarga was very high quality. Definitely recommended and worth returning to. The final price was €90 per person. Let's just say we would have expected €10 less per person, but when you're spending quality time with your family, you don't mind spending.

04/09/2025: We stopped here for lunch during a road trip, and it was a delightful surprise! First, the kindness of the owner, who set up a table even though it was a little late, and then the good quality of the food: given the availability, we went for the mushrooms, both with excellent tagliatelle and grilled! It's a shame we were traveling, because the restaurant deserved more attention. Who knows, maybe we'll be back again soon!

The food is all authentic and high-quality; the cured meats and cheeses are excellent, as are the vegetables and crostini. The desserts are delicious. The prices are very fair. Definitely worth trying again. Reservations are recommended, as it's always crowded during opening hours.
