29/07/2025: Siamo stati alla casa delle esposizioni di Illegio per visitare l'annuale mostra. Sempre bellissima. Con l'occasione abbiamo finalmente potuto pranzare in questa antica trattoria nel cuore di Verzegnis. Una calda accoglienza da parte del titolare per renderci piacevole il pranzo e la sosta da loro Cibo di alta qualità, ricercato nella presentazione, molto concreto e genuino nella sostanza. Bella esperienza. Ci torneremo con altri amici che sanno apprezzare la buona cucina e la ristorazione professionale.

31/07/2025: A very cute little place with the option of sitting outside under the portico. Very friendly service, the menu was explained verbally by the waitress, offering only first and second courses. We later discovered that you could also order side dishes separately (my mistake for not asking if they were available). For the first course, we opted for a trio of their own choosing. They brought us: zucchini and ham lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, and goulash gnocchi. For the second course (see photo), roast turkey with a side of baked potatoes, already included in the dish. We didn't try dessert as we were already satisfied with the previous courses. Everything was homemade and very good. I will gladly return.

27/07/2025: I went there twice in 15 days. It was supposed to be a stopover/lunch stop on the way to Croatia, but we had such a great time that it also became our lunch stop on the return trip! Very quiet, secluded place, with ample parking and a playground for the little ones. Excellent quality food and a fair price. They do a great job, and I want to thank them, in my own small way, with this review.

02/08/2025: I only went for dinner. Everything was good. Welcoming atmosphere, traditional food. Friendly and helpful waiters.

01/08/2025: Tonight I tried to relax and have dinner at this lovely place. It's a shame I ordered two appetizers and a first course, and everything arrived almost at once. Rather than a quiet dinner, it felt like a rush to the exit. The dishes were nothing special, obviously tasted and left almost untouched. I'm wondering if everything was okay, but a good restaurateur should have known from what I left. I'm really sorry, especially because the place is really nice...unlucky...? Who knows. I paid my bill quietly and left because arguments or complaints make no sense to me. I prefer discretion if there's anything else.

27/07/2025: Eravamo in visita al castello di Miramare, io ed i miei 2 figli e abbiamo telefonato, a caso, per prenotare pranzo dopo circa mezz'ora : la signora al telefono gentilissima, ci ha spiegato come raggiungere il locale, dicendo che ci avrebbe tenuto il tavolo senza problemi. Locale bellissimo, caratteristico, situati davanti al teatro di Triste : cibi squisiti, porzioni giuste. Cameriera gentile, discreta e disponibile nel fornire spiegazione a chi come noi non ne sapeva nulla della cucina triestina. Assolutamente da ritornare quando saremo nuovamente in zona : complimenti, promossi con il massimo dei voti. Gulash e frico sensazionali.

25/07/2025: Osteria Strehler was truly a wonderful discovery. The dishes are all typical Friulian cuisine. We ordered the gnocchi with goulash, the pappardelle with sausage and arugula, and the cured meats with Friulian cheese—all excellent. Thanks to Adriana, who runs the dining room, and to Rino, who works behind the scenes. We'll gladly return on our next trip to Trieste.

09/06/2025: The temple of chocolate in Udine. In a slightly secluded position from the tourist promenade, and therefore from the noise, with a dominant view of Piazza 1° Maggio, here you enter with the devotion that is owed to his majesty cocoa, worked with acumen and vision. The suggestion: do not take anything for granted because nothing is as it seems, but is more. Inspired by the Sacher, for example, this magic of thin layers of cocoa sponge cake alternating with dried apricot pulp, apricot jam, finished with cocoa ganache. An experiment, they tell me. Let's hope it stays in production, I would say. Congratulations.

20/08/2025: thank you for the dinner it was very delicious. the only negative was that it was hot in the restaurant, it was raining outside they could have ventilated the restaurant we will definitely eat and drink more

17/08/2025: Didn't try the food, but the staff was excellent. Suggested and made sure to let us know what the beer may taste like before we ordered. Will definitely be back next time we are in Trieste.

22/07/2025: Posto davvero favoloso, come pochi in Friuli Venezia Giulia, con tantissimo stile nell’ambiente e nella cucina. Ci torno tutte le estati

26/06/2025: Frequento questo locale spesso per aperitivo; in occasione di una cena tra amici, e dopo averne sentito parlare, sono stata curiosa di provare la cucina. La location è molto bella e fa tanto: elegante e bella sia per una cena romantica che informale. 
Ho cenato nella terrazza estiva con vista panoramica sulle colline dove mi sono sentita benissimo: questa è un punto molto positivo per l’intera esperienza.
Anche gli interni sono molto curati; il personale è professionale e disponibile.  La qualità del cibo è molto buona, porzioni giuste, prezzi medio alti ma ci sta. Anche la lista dei vini è ben fornita. Ho apprezzato il burro erborinato da spalmare sul pane nell’attesa dei piatti (comunque arrivati rapidamente). Io ho preso Seppie e Gazpacho: tagliolino di seppia, crumble di pomodori secchi, gazpacho e panna acida. Delicato, la seppia cotta bene. Poi Bolognese di Tonno e Katsuobushi: tagliolino con ragù di tonno, katsuobushi e olio all’aneto. Tutti i piatti molto curati dal punto di vista dell’impiattamento, manca secondo me un po’ di decisione sui sapori.
Il menù è in generale interessante e i piatti invitanti: vanno spinti un po'! Bello rimanere fuori a fine serata sorseggiando un limoncello gentilmente offerto. 
Posto veramente bello, mi ha fatto rimanere contenta!

23/07/2025: Everything is perfect except for the price which was changed. They tried to charge us for food and drinks we did not consume. When we reacted, aware that they could not correct the bill, they brought an even bigger bill. Bad impression because the fish was fresh, tasty and nicely prepared.

03/06/2025: Sono venuta qui per festeggiare il compleanno di mia mamma…e non potevamo essere più che soddisfatti dell’ottima mangiata di pesce fatta, e del servizio davvero ottimo. Un ristorante molto tipico, con le titolari così carine e amichevoli. La frittura di pesce davvero ottima!…e da buon fritto fatto ad hoc non unto e leggero, si capisce che la cucina è top! Ingredienti freschissimi e di prima qualità! Ci tornerò senz’altro altre volte.

02/07/2025: We recently visited this cafe and were very pleased! A real pleasure is when delicious cuisine is combined with friendly service, and this is exactly what happened here. The dishes were fresh, appetizing and beautifully presented. The service is at a high level: the staff is attentive, fast and always ready to recommend something interesting. The atmosphere is cozy, which makes dinner or coffee even more enjoyable. We will definitely come back here again and recommend this place to everyone who appreciates taste and good service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

21/08/2025: Very nice place! 🍽️ The food was really delicious and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, at 5 p.m., there was only a limited menu, but that wasn't a problem – the server was super friendly. Overall, a great place that I definitely recommend!

20/08/2025: A beautiful trattoria surrounded by nature, a peaceful place. Delicious, carefully prepared, and elegant food. Impeccable service, compliments to Sonia, the lovely, professional, and highly knowledgeable hostess. Very fair prices. Highly recommended.
