09/12/2025: I was in Trieste for five days for work. I went to David's twice, very willingly, so as not to go into too much detail... Extremely kind and friendly, very cordial, and the food was excellent, but above all, the pizzas were truly large. The prices are normal, but they're all justified by the quantity of ingredients. There's no one pizza like the others; in fact, I'm also pleased with the wide selection, which can be empty or have very little toppings. They're truly large and truly delicious. On the second day, after spending an hour talking with him, he even gave me two bottles of water and two Cokes, without the large number of tissues he put in my bag. I'm returning to Trieste in a week, again for work. Be prepared, we'll definitely see each other again.

25/08/2025: Delicious, plentiful dishes. Kudos to the chef, who cooks with flair without overdoing the seasoning. The husband-and-wife team are courteous and helpful. The price is unbeatable. Recommended, but make sure to book because it's popular and seats are limited.

10/08/2025: Excellent lunch and excellent service. The owners were very kind and even the pets were very cuddly ❤️. After walking the trail to Malga Priu and returning, we stopped for lunch at this refuge, we ate very well and relaxed. The refuge is truly beautiful both inside and out ☺️. We paid around €80 for 2 Radlers, 1 beer, 1 grilled cheese, 1 plate of canederli, 1 plate of gnocchi with ricotta (delicious) and butter, 1 venison with polenta, and finally a platter of cured meats and cheeses + 1 coffee. We will definitely be back, see you soon ☺️👋🏼

17/10/2025: Definitely high-quality yet informal. Excellent, attentive, and unobtrusive service. The cuisine was excellent, although some dishes didn't fully meet expectations. In any case, it was superior. The spider crab was exceptional. The welcome amenity (included in the service) was also delicious: a glass of bubbles and a parmesan crumble, as well as homemade cantucci biscuits with vin santo at the end of the meal and an excellent grappa. For my taste, I would have cooked the spaghetti with clams half a minute longer, and I would have also prepared the cream differently, but it must be said that the dish wasn't on the menu and, with great availability, was freshly prepared, so it's understandable that the quality wasn't the same as that of other dishes on the menu. Perhaps due to a misunderstanding, instead of a raw seafood appetizer with the spider crab, a lukewarm appetizer was served. It was excellent, but different from what was ordered. Another reason to return and try the raw seafood. The baked turbot was good, but the dish didn't entirely meet my expectations, and tastes vary. I prefer it more dry when cooked to perfection. Overall, regardless of my personal taste, it was an excellent experience, and I'll definitely recommend it again. Kudos to the truly exceptional service.

11/10/2025: Very busy with a ticketing system. You can only taste two flavours. The mango flavour was very light. The pistachio soft serve flavour was even lighter. The creaminess of the ricotta pistachio was great, complemented with pistachio paste. It was almost a stressful dining experience because of the ticketing system and there wasn't enough seating outside for everyone to enjoy their ice cream. The servers seemed impatient and weren't overly friendly, probably because they have a backlog of customers to get through. There seemed to be only locals ordering ice cream.

23/11/2025: A welcoming place, thanks in part to the warmth of the fireplaces that warm the room. Impeccable table service and super friendly staff. The cuisine is well-crafted, with flavors and just the right amount of ingredients, but it's so good that you always want more. The quality/price ratio and service are more than fair.

Their gelato is incredibly tasty, made from fresh fruit and crafted with a delicate, natural flavor that’s never too sweet. Each spoonful feels light and perfectly balanced, showing just how much care and attention they put into their work. What I especially love is that they don’t overwhelm you with too many choices — just a few, carefully selected flavors, all unique and surprising, proving that quality matters far more than quantity. Every visit feels like a discovery of something genuine and artisanal. It’s a pity they’re not open all year round, but perhaps that’s part of the charm — it makes you appreciate them even more. When Glida is open, make sure to go as often as you can. It’s a small paradise for anyone who truly loves real, authentic gelato. Highly recommended — five stars, and then some!

21/09/2025: The pistachio ice cream is one of the best we've ever had. It has tons of pistachio pieces in it and tastes fantastic! The 20-cent extra is worth it. The waitresses are very friendly!

16/09/2025: The pizza was great, but I would have put more ingredients in it so that one person could eat a full meal from one pizza. I was still hungry And I'm not a big person. I would have easily paid more money.
