17/06/2025: The most delicious pizza I've ever tried!!! Very nice staff. My daughter ate two huge pieces of pizza and asked for more. That's the coolest compliment.

16/06/2025: Very good pizza, the staff speaks little English, for eating on site they add 1.5 €, fees, it is in the price list, but the pizza is delicious, especially the dough. I personally think that the so-called small one is enough for 2 people but to eat it is for one, thin dough .

The ambience, cuisine, friendliness, and quality make this restaurant a true gem, especially since it's located in a quaint hamlet, expertly enhanced by the owner. In short...a guarantee! Prices are, of course, fair, just like everything else.

16/11/2025: We went for a hearty aperitif with a group of friends. The location is a charming 18th-century residence with modern touches, overlooking the river. The food and wines were excellent, and the staff welcomed us like family. Tiziana, the owner, is an attentive and knowledgeable host. Highly recommended.

07/12/2025: A place of excellence. Going to Antica Maddalena is always a pleasure and a rewarding experience: the place is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the staff is extremely friendly. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail. We'll be back soon.

04/12/2025: Business dinner. We had the pleasure of tasting the new December 2025 menu, and it was all delicious. A quiet and elegant venue. Carefully prepared dishes, successful pairings, and excellent presentation—all at prices well below what you'd expect. All washed down with a phenomenal Chardonnay. The highlight of the evening was the apple cinnamon tart!

20/11/2025: On Saturday, November 15, 2025, a friend and I were looking for a typical Trieste place where we could eat a good hot ham sandwich and some other delicacies, as true Triestine people often do. Luckily, the 5 or 6 places we usually go to were all closed... it was 2:45 PM... I say fortunately because when we arrived at Barriera, we looked at each other and said together, "Let's go there," seeing everything open. We found all the staff professional, friendly, and welcoming, and they seated us with a smile. We immediately ordered 2 ham and eggplant sandwiches, which were amazing, 1 ham and gorgonzola, which was even better, 2 beers, and 300 grams of ham for home, since just the thought of having already finished it made your mouth water, and all at a very fair total price. We used to go to 5 or 6 places for years, now we'll only go to one place... "Salumeria a mano" Go there and you'll hit the mark. Congratulations to everyone Staff...Alessandro and Rea will be back to you very soon.

29/10/2025: We celebrated our parents' 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, October 26th. We thank you for helping make our celebration a wonderful day: the food selection was excellent, the preparation and presentation were meticulous, and the service was courteous and impeccable.

05/10/2025: Excellent lunch in a rustic and very refined location. Super friendly service. Good Slovenian Collio wine. Superb desserts: birramisu and mascarpone with Bayles, truly amazing. Excellent meat tartare, and first courses too: the spaghetti with shrimp tartare and pecorino cheese were superb. Must try.

11/10/2025: We stayed in Grado for 4 days and ate at your restaurant three times. We tried starters, first courses, second courses, and desserts. Everything was excellent.

31/10/2025: I don't understand the negative reviews. We ate well, everything was good, from the appetizer to the main course, the environment (the veranda) was well heated, the day wasn't very cold but there was a breeze.

16/09/2025: This has been our preferred source for delicious Italian pizza in Lignano for years. Fresh and quick to make maxi pizzas, where you can combine different toppings. Great crust and crispy crust. Single slices are also available for those with a small appetite.
