22/08/2024: Historic, relaxing and intimate environment. The owner and all the staff were excellent, the service attentive and courteous, but the food... dishes to make the senses soar. Try it to believe it! I highly recommend the appetizers, they truly leave our hearts.

17/07/2024: Siamo entrati per caso, ma a volte il caso porta bene: la pizza di mio figlio era eccellente, così come l'hamburger di mia moglie. Ma posso dire che il mio piatto di scialatielli ai frutti di mare era semplicemente eccezionale. Inoltre la porzione era molto ampia e il prezzo più che ragionevole. Se abitassi in zona ci tornerei certamente, purtroppo da Torino sarà un po' difficile, ma lo consiglio vivamente a tutti.

16/07/2024: Passing through for work, I stop in Portogruaro and notice the sign of this place, my colleague and I enter. They make us sit in a nice, well-kept environment and we order sardines with stracchino cheese and fried must as a starter, all washed down with a nice glass of Prosecco. Managers and staff are professional and always available, even for the preparation of dishes for special needs. We will definitely be back for lunch too. We highly recommend.

31/07/2024: Excellent dinner. We came to this restaurant for dinner and had a great time. We had dinner outside in the expanse since it was nice and it was very nice. The dishes were all really good, both the cjarsons and the veal shank with potatoes and also the very, very good desserts. Their house merlot is very good. Fast and kind service.

01/08/2024: I don't know if political correctness will censor my review, however I wanted to say that whoever writes the review here for the pizza being good has probably never eaten a good pizza, in my opinion it's practically cardboard. Now I don't know if they have two different ways of making it, i.e. for takeaway and on-site consumption, but I've given you 2 and a half possibilities, after having had over 5 pizzas in total I can say that it literally sucks; 1.for the exaggerated price for the quality it is 2.for how the pizza looks 3.for the poor basic ingredients. If you change pizza chef or ingredients I will probably return. EDITED DUE TO THE OWNER'S RESPONSE No. The other negative review you mention from another user is NOT related to me. Yes. Unfortunately, the venue is yours. No. I won't remove my review until I try it again, and I find it difficult. If you haven't received any negative ones in the last 2 years, it doesn't concern me, but in part it does because they "got me" with what was written above, I trusted the reviews and wanted to try. Yes. Unfortunately I didn't eat the cardboard because you don't consider it edible yet. What I reported above was not to my liking. 29/07/2024: I really love this place, the wines are great and the food excellent. Small example... The canapé with cooked ham and kren can make me cry...😂 And I'm from Trieste.... A few words to the wise!

13/07/2024: Beautiful tavern, friendly and helpful staff, quality and refined products but all spoiled by the fact that the heat inside the place is unbearable. This could be done in 2024, too bad....

25/08/2024: The best meatballs in Trieste!! A show with three protagonists: normal, without garlic and spicy. I recommend going before the lunch rush because they disappear in a flash. Historic and always crowded buffet, many people who work in the area choose it for lunch because here you can taste the home-made products, the ones that your grandmother prepared. Personally, every time I have to go to these parts for work I arrange to have lunch, last week a hand-cut cooked ham sandwich with mustard.... and I left happy and satisfied.

10/08/2024: The place has a simple and welcoming appearance. An excellent corner selling bread, local cured meats and cheeses. Made a quick stop for a good coffee with delicious desserts. Advised!

29/07/2024: After a day of biking, late in the evening during a thunderstorm we had dinner here. It was fantastic. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was amazing. I was craving a salad and had the Souvlaki plate with a crisp, fresh salad. My friend had the excellent pizza. There is not a lot of seating, but we sat outside under the awning as the cool wind blew in with the ligtning. We highly recommend this perfect restaurant!
