Without a doubt, this is one of the great restaurants not only in Trieste, but in Italy. The restaurant itself is worth the visit: it's a very well-preserved building from 1830. The atmosphere is elegant and the service is very kind, especially the maître d' and sommelier, Loris, a philosopher of the good life. We had 4 glasses of wine (excellent suggestions from Loris), 2 appetizers and 3 main courses. Don't miss the seafood risotto: one of the best we've ever tasted. Perfect evening!

I returned after a year and we had a wonderful meal. The staff was friendly, the place was gorgeous, and the ingredients were top-quality. The fish was fresh, and the display case was very well stocked. We ordered the mixed antipasto, which was exceptional, and the seafood risotto, which was exquisite. Compliments to the kitchen.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my graduation with a reception at the Antico Ristorante Tommaseo. Right from the preparation stages, they demonstrated great attention to detail, offering us various menu options and allowing us to customize our final selection. On the day of the event, they reserved the entire restaurant for us, and everyone was very friendly and attentive throughout the service. All the dishes fully lived up to expectations, as all the guests later confirmed. I'm truly satisfied with the choice and grateful to all the staff who made one of the most important days for me so special!

A beautiful, historic restaurant in Trieste. The current management has transformed it into a truly magical place. The cuisine uses top-quality ingredients, transformed into refined, light, and surprising dishes. The wait staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, lavishing meticulous attention on guests. The atmosphere is relaxed and serene, and you'll never want to leave. The business lunch is also a highly appreciated initiative. Well done everyone! Truly! I wish you all the luck you deserve. For me, a stop at Antico Ristorante Tommaseo is a must when in Trieste!

08/04/2026: Heaven on earth for celiacs 🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🥰🥰. I arrived in Trieste very late a few nights ago and as always when I travel my fear is not finding anything or almost nothing AIC certified. But, thanks to an Instagram profile I follow, I discovered this wonderful place 🥰. What can I say! Excellent and super nutritious breakfast, welcoming place with attention to the smallest details, kind and qualified staff from those behind the counter to those serving at the tables, a huge selection of products obviously gluten-free but also dairy-free. I will stay for a few days in Trieste and it will be my place of ❤️.

The quality is top-notch: you can immediately taste the care taken in the raw materials and preparation, unlike packaged or standardized products. The staff is extremely kind, professional, and respectful, always available to explain and advise with expertise and courtesy. The atmosphere is very pleasant, welcoming, and relaxing, and it's truly a pleasure to return each time. It's become my go-to: I go there with pleasure and trust, knowing I'll always find excellent products and impeccable service. Highly recommended. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

08/08/2026: We finally went to this renowned pizzeria to try these pizzas, which on paper all look exceptional... spoiler: the pizzas are truly excellent with top-quality ingredients. We went for lunch on Saturday after booking online. We ordered: 1 Blanche lager 1 Coke 1 still water 1 "Norma" pizza + cooked ham 1 off-menu pizza with Iberian ham, cacio e pepe sauce, 'nduja honey, and Neapolitan tarallo crumble... this last pizza was truly exceptional and only available for a few weeks. 1 dessert: millefeuille with berries (homemade) 2 coffees Total: €52.50. The pizzas in the photos speak for themselves, as does the dessert, which was also truly delicious, a generous portion that I recommend sharing. The pizza dough was absolutely digestible, the bottom of the pizza was not burned, and it was cooked perfectly. There's certainly no shortage of options in the area, but I can say that this pizzeria stands out despite the competition. We'll definitely be back, and not just for the pizza, as the other dishes also seemed absolutely top-notch. Well done!
