14/01/2026: The restaurant's strong points are its speed of service (if you go during peak hours, you'll obviously have to wait a bit, but there's a high turnover rate), courtesy, cleanliness, and food quality. Some dishes are different every day. Adequate portions and reasonable prices. It's ideal for those who need a quick meal, such as a worker on a break, but even a passing tourist can enjoy the local cuisine. I highly recommend it.

24/02/2026: Today I waited 45/50 minutes for a mixed grill, but in the end the wait was fine, the meat was well cooked and the service was good. The only thing that I'm not very interested in, besides the preparation and presentation of the food, is the care of the building and the garden, which could benefit from a little more attention, considering that it is seen as the face of the place.

26/12/2025: Starting from the premise that this was our favorite seafood restaurant in Trieste, this evening we were unfortunately disappointed by the introduction of some changes: - The linguine with spider crab was decidedly devoid of spider crab meat. - Fried shrimp were usually accompanied by battered vegetables. This time, they were replaced with fried mashed potatoes, and in smaller quantities. - The melon liqueur, usually offered on the house after the meal, has disappeared, replaced by a liquor menu presented before dessert. We would like to clarify that our comments are not directed at the kitchen. We noticed no changes in the flavors, cooking methods, or timing. Our comments are addressed solely to the manager. A shame, really. We'll be back when the spider crabs return to the Cassettin rocks. Until then, we'll set sail for new food and wine destinations.

23/01/2026: I would call La Stella a comfort restaurant... a place where you feel good. The food is high-quality, and the dishes are the kind that will bring back long-faded memories. First, you'll find a platter of salami waiting for you. You'll also find good old-fashioned cuisine, featuring excellent tripe, flavorful snails, and first courses prepared to perfection. My partner Antonella and I wanted to try their fantastic risotto for our first course, where pepper, cheese, and pears are perfectly balanced. We also enjoyed a taste of snails and their amazing rabbit in tecia!!! The service is precise and attentive, with cutlery changed after every dish... and when Regis lists the menu, it's like being at the theater 😂. The interior of the restaurant is worth exploring, corner by corner, noticing the details. The lit fireplace completes a splendid picture, and Regis and his staff do the rest. Oh, if Regis, while listing the menu, tells you that the rabbit was shot in the countryside of Toppo and Travesio and that the pigeon used in the sauce comes from the bell tower of Meduno...it could all be true. We'll see you again! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

10/01/2026: Not family friendly. We entered this restaurant during opening hours, completely empty, in memory of our ten-year anniversary. It was the restaurant where we ate before making our relationship official. This time, however, we were going with our two children. The owner denied us entry, blaming the lack of space, especially for the stroller (which was foldable, by the way, but whatever). We immediately assumed our presence was unwelcome because we had two small children with us. This was confirmed shortly afterward when we called to ask if there were four free seats, and were told yes. This is simply yet another anti-family friendly restaurant, one we will never go to again. Congrats!

02/03/2026: The food was excellent! Homemade-style pasta. The wine (Merlot) was good, as was the limoncello. A biodegradable straw instead of the antiquated plastic one would have been nice. Therefore, two minor deductions are made for the plastic straw and the outdated toilet.

25/02/2026: Yesterday, my mother, sister, and I were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food, freshly prepared with fresh ingredients, and the kindness of the owners.

12/01/2026: We've been here for dinner several times in the past year and have always been more than satisfied and happy, which is why we returned this evening with the same high expectations. The wines tended to be warm (no big deal), but unfortunately, we were disappointed by many of the dishes (which we'd already tried on previous occasions). I don't know if something has changed in the kitchen, or if it was simply an unlucky evening.

07/02/2026: I feel at home here! ...even better sometimes!... Politeness, respect, and courtesy are always the pillars of this renowned Tolmezzo establishment. The restaurant is always meticulously prepared, focusing on the quality of the ingredients (the first courses are excellent, especially the saffron gnocchi!) and the variety of the culinary offerings. The pizza is a must-try, featuring a highly digestible dough that I always pair with the ever-present and excellent bottled red beer, Zahre di Sauris! I choose it and frequent it often because it represents a solid point of reference and never disappoints expectations. I may be biased, but my analysis is objective nonetheless, reflecting authenticity and Carnic intellectual honesty. It always favors those who have the vocation of always offering the best of themselves in what they do and how they present it. Cleanliness and order in the dining room complete the package for a full and satisfying assessment of the overall perceived and experienced service. 24/02/2026: I only used the hotel and only for the night between Sunday and Monday. The check-in staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms were fully equipped with heating and air conditioning.

21/01/2026: We once again appreciated the restaurant's quality for our Christmas Eve dinner. The à la carte menu was sufficiently varied and featured typical local and regional dishes. Everything was very well prepared and beautifully served, in a traditional and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was very attentive to customer service, masterfully coordinated by the owner. A true testament to our quality. We didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on the rooms.

09/03/2026: A sure thing!! I've been to Mondelli's several times. Always very satisfied. Quality meat, cooked to perfection. Excellent desserts. Helpful and courteous staff. What more can I say except that it's absolutely worth going (and returning).

23/02/2026: Today I had a plate of cod but unfortunately in my opinion it was more of a smoothie and very watered down with this product probably recycled from Ash Wednesday. I understand that in the restaurant industry nothing is thrown away but neither are they serving dishes from Caritas canteens since in the end they are paid for just the same.

11/02/2026: I loved the rustic atmosphere and the greenery of this agriturismo. The food is delicious, made with local ingredients, and the prices are reasonable.
