15/10/2025: With great regret, as a customer who has spent countless evenings at Mr. Brown's since it opened, I have to say that perhaps the end has come for this place. The beer is still quite good and the pizza isn't bad, but it gives off a sense of abandonment and neglect. It feels like it's on the way out. 😢

01/09/2025: Monday night in Modena, an incredible concentration of places closed for shifts. I choose Mr. Brown for the modest vegan options and the beers. The vegan sandwich is a disappointment, but the beers get top marks: a wide selection, and then there's the Pilsner Urquell! So, the five stars? Those are for the service! Or rather, for Elisa (not the Beethoven piece!): fast, precise, and incredibly friendly. Next Monday when I'm in Modena, I'll be back at Mr. Brown!

08/11/2025: We ordered onion soup and a spider steak with chimichurri sauce… I don’t know what happened with the onion soup — I’ve never eaten anything with such texture and taste before. It didn’t feel like a restaurant dish at all — neither in texture nor in flavor. As for the steak, the meat was cooked unevenly: some pieces were rare, some medium, and some well-done. The chimichurri sauce had nothing to do with the authentic taste — not spicy, not flavorful, nothing at all. And the plate the steak was served on was covered in oil. The restaurant’s décor was actually quite nice, full of artificial flowers, and there were three plants on the wall — but they were half-dead from lack of water. As for the service, it felt robotic — fake smiles, no sense of hospitality. Overall, it’s rare to see such a poor-quality combination all in one place.

23/11/2025: Historic pub. Good beers. The room also often hosts music evenings. The stools and sofas need replacing...literally worn out.

22/11/2025: The staff were courteous and friendly... The food was excellent, and the price was also good. I highly recommend it for a night out with friends and family.

14/09/2025: I booked at 1pm for 2pm, we arrived and there was no room, a lady from the staff was laughing, but what are you laughing at, they thought we had called somewhere else, luckily the number we had called had their sign associated with it, in fact the owner admitted that we had spoken to his wife, I also have an autistic son who had a crisis because we had been waiting for an hour to go and eat, but what do you think about reservations, it was enough to say that there was no room, you ruined my day, thank you very much
