24/11/2025: The cashier was very friendly, but the staff at the counter were disorganized. The cappuccino wasn't very good, and could be improved. The bathrooms were clean and large.

03/10/2025: A very special gourmet cooking course – also for amateur cooks – takes you to the "Food Lab" cooking school and the master chefs of Modena's agri-food excellence scene. Participants will learn how to roll out the dough and close a true Modenese tortellino. All accompanied, of course, by a fine glass of Lambrusco. 26/10/2025: Saturday morning, 9:10 a.m. We were planning on having a coffee and croissant at the counter. We were probably being transparent. After spending five minutes at the counter, facing the owner and the staff preparing coffees and serving trays to our tables, I didn't seem to be paying attention. I asked if we needed to get a receipt first. I was given a refreshment, which wasn't necessary, but after another five minutes we left the place. No one had yet asked us what we wanted. Now they'll tell us that the place was full of the usual kids, but that wasn't the case. I also think that since there are three people behind the counter and one at the register, one of them should be dedicated to those like us who just want a coffee and croissant to go.

11/12/2025: We had lunch with friends. Everything was very good, the place was crowded, but the staff was always helpful. The only thing we noticed was a slow service for the gluten-free dishes.

27/08/2025: A typical spot in the Modena hills, the place is clean and welcoming, like the lady who runs the agriturismo. She's smiling, friendly, and an excellent cook. Her ricotta tortelli were exquisite.

06/07/2025: I asked him for a portion of chips so far everything was ok, then I asked him if he could add some sausages and he told me that he couldn't because he only had them raw and that already says a lot, plus he doesn't have any frittatas, croquettes, nothing at all... Takeaway doesn't do anything at all

12/09/2025: The staff were friendly and helpful with requests... Fast service. They paid particular attention to the children's pizzas, which, even though they hadn't requested them, arrived pre-sliced. The food was very good. We'll gladly return.

17/11/2025: I was in Castel d'Aiano many years ago as a teacher. I lived in a flat near the village pharmacist. I remember Roberta, the daughter of the bar owners. Wonderful years, good people. The village priest was Father Luigi. We suffered from the cold because, being Calabrians, we weren't used to that climate. I took the bus early in the morning because some days I also taught in Vergato. I then moved to Rome. I wonder if anyone remembers me (I lived with my sister). I would be very happy if someone could remember us.

23/10/2025: The bar is nice, with two outdoor areas, but it almost feels like a nuisance when you go in the afternoon. The bartender doesn't smile and barely says hello. The prices are incredibly high for Castel d'Aiano. €1.50 for a croissant, a pre-baked one at that, seems excessive.

13/10/2025: I ate delicious pumpkin tortelloni. I recommend the gnocco and tigelle 😋😋😋😋

12/12/2025: The current management has successfully enhanced an already well-known restaurant located at the entrance to Modena's historic center. The menu offers a limited number of excellent options, a substantial wine list, and a reasonable quality-price ratio. If there's one flaw, it's the poor soundproofing, which, when the restaurant is full, makes conversation difficult, but everything else is fine. Special mention goes to the truly superb tagliatelle al ragù, and to the helpfulness of the owner and staff.

07/12/2025: Back under new management at Bollo. Lunch with friends. Excellent polenta with sausage sauce, creamed cod, and mushrooms. Superb tagliatelle. Next time I'll try the meat. Excellent service, Mattia very kind. Dinner with colleagues as part of the Gastronomic Thursdays event. Excellent menu, impeccable service. The menu: pumpkin tart, macaroni with lemon-infused sausage ragù (excellent), pork cheek with a bed of pumpkin, balsamic vinegar, and pancetta. To finish, homemade ice cream with vinegar drops. The wine was also very good. Recommended.

29/07/2025: I'll just say that I don't like fish, but here it's so fresh and well-fried, with good oil, that I lick my fingers every time and it's a joy. The fish is always very fresh, the shrimp are exceptional, the portions are just right. Well done!!!
