15/08/2025: I gave a gift certificate (for two dinners) to this restaurant, which I'd visited several times and always found to be excellent. The owner, Rossella (Rosa Lafronza), also always seemed very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, three months after the gift, the restaurant closed permanently, and upon my request, Rossella very hastily informed me that she couldn't refund the certificate in any way, given the closure; not even privately. Clearly, some doubts arise, given the proximity of the voucher and the closure. It would have been more appropriate not to provide the vouchers, in my opinion, or to advise people to use them as soon as possible. Instead, the money (€80) was taken, without giving them the opportunity to use it and without even offering a private refund. It's a shame, the experience ruins a fond memory of a special restaurant and a seemingly honest person.

24/03/2025: Credo che questo locale sia sottovalutato forse a causa dei prezzi troppo alti un pasticciotto 5 € è follia o un semplice caffe leccese a 3 €. I piatti sono ben preparati con ottimi ingredienti. Ma la vera "perla" sono le combinazioni che finalmente non sono BANALI. Ho trovato locali dove la parola Salento veniva associato a polpo e buratta dove le combinazioni erano le più disperate solo per attirare l'occhio sul menù. Qui tutto questo non accade è già solo questo è un punto in più. Rivedrei il menù perché a mio avviso è un po' povero di piatti e rivedrei un po' i prezzi. Ma per il resto io ci tornerei.

08/04/2026: The ice cream is very good, especially the zuppa inglese flavor, but the service behind the counter is much less so. All in all, the other flavors are also ok.

19/02/2026: We went for dinner on Valentine's Day, and the food was divine! Even though the place was packed, they managed to create an intimate and very pleasant atmosphere. The staff was also excellent: friendly and knowledgeable. It's certainly more expensive than other restaurants (I would have avoided the price increase on the menu for Valentine's Day, which they informed us of beforehand), but the food is excellent quality and well-cooked, making it totally worth it.

18/10/2025: How could I not recommend this place? We stopped by this afternoon, looking for a sandwich, and we weren't disappointed—quite the opposite, in fact. The owners are lovely, and the sandwiches are made with love and quality! If I ever come back to Rome, I'll definitely stop by again 🤩

02/05/2026: We were on vacation in Abbadia San Salvatore and this small but welcoming restaurant caught our eye. Giancarlo, the owner, immediately puts you at ease with his friendliness and helpfulness. The dishes are delicious, made with quality, local ingredients. We ordered a tasting platter with cured meats, cheeses, and Tuscan crostini, handmade tagliatella with Cinta and Chianina beef ragù, a braised pork, and baby onions with balsamic vinegar. The owner's homemade nocino liqueur and ricciolina (a typical dessert from Abbadia San Salvatore) are not to be missed. Recommended for sampling local flavors.

03/05/2026: BE CAREFUL if you have children, as there are medications left scattered around the dining area!!! BE CAREFUL with the bill, as it's calculated based on sentiment only at the end of lunch/dinner. '70s/'80s experience Good food, but exorbitant prices. Seven of us spent €30 each for a trio of first courses (the tortelloni were actually cheaper than the other two dishes), a carafe of unnamed wine, two bottles of water, two sorbets, and two desserts. The price was given without a menu directly by the lady at the register, with an invitation to pay in cash if possible (to avoid a receipt). The waiter and bartender service was precise and attentive. The experience wasn't bad, but the surprise at the register and the medications left unattended, easily accessible by small children, will make me avoid returning. A real shame.

19/04/2026: No menu/prices, mediocre food, expensive for the quality offered, not even a mention on the receipt. Highly not recommended.

02/05/2026: A traditional inn run by a lady who makes homemade gnocco fritto and tigelle. She's friendly and always ready to offer advice. Everything is delicious!

20/05/2026: The staff were always friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was rather meager, but the coffee was awful. The rooms were fairly clean, though there were several stains on the bed. Whenever the cleaning staff had been, the smell of chlorine was very strong. Unfortunately, there were no outdoor seating options, and the place was very dirty.

10/05/2026: A good option for those who are traveling and need a comfortable place to rest.
