05/04/2025: It's really a shame that too much waiting makes you appreciate the food less

05/04/2025: Cena con vecchi amici, scegliamo questo posto perché ha una posizione comoda a tutti. Il locale è un casale di campagna ristrutturato, molto carino. Siamo in 10 ma prendiamo un tris di primi tradizionali per 7 persone e una grigliata, sempre per 7, due bottiglie di vino della cantina locale, 4 dolci e caffè. I primi e i dolci erano buonissimi, mentre la grigliata l'ho trovata secca, come se fosse stata riscaldata o fatta da un po' troppo tempo. L'ho trovato strano, visto che sarebbe la loro specialità, ma era comunque saporita. Il servizio non è stato perfetto, con qualche ritardo e dimanticanza nonostante il locale non pieno. Niente di grave, vista l'atmosfera e la compagnia gradevole. La sorpresa è stata nel conto: quasi 50 euro per una cena che ne avrebbe valsi al massimo 30. Sullo scontrino non c'era nemmeno l'elenco delle pietanze ordinate, ma solo il totale... immagino sia stato fatto un prezzo a forfait, maggiorato con criterio "random". Il locale avrebbe potuto meritare una seconda chance, cosa che invece abbiamo concesso altrove. Non torneremo sicuramente perché ci siamo sentiti presi in giro. Peccato.

05/11/2024: Good restaurant where I ate well. At lunch you can find a fixed price menu or a fixed price menu. For work I opted for the fixed price menu, three choices between first courses, second courses and side dishes... water, wine and coffee for a total of €15. I recommend it.

A simple rediscovery of good flavors and appetizing aromas.... first courses and tigelle to be enjoyed calmly like this evening... few people... little confusion... courteous and punctual service... tasty dishes with strong flavours. It's always a pleasure to come back!

21/12/2024: tavolo prenotato da più di un mese per il sessantesimo di mio padre molto importante per noi con tutta la famiglia. tavolo da 6 persone e abbiamo richiamato qualche giorno prima per chiedere se potevamo portare la torta e per la conferma. arriviamo e ci dicono che il tavolo non c’è, mostriamo le telefonate sul registro delle chiamate e diciamo con chi abbiamo parlato e tutto ciò che ci siamo detti, il tavolo non c’è! e per di più non trovano nessuna soluzione e quindi ci mandano via. vergognoso. non ci andrò mai più

21/05/2025: We recently had dinner at La Vecchia Quercia and we can only express an extremely positive opinion. The restaurant managed to win us over in every aspect: from the welcome to the quality of the dishes, to the suggestive atmosphere that can be felt especially in the back part of the structure. The cuisine is the real strong point: each dish is prepared with great care and quality ingredients. The specialty that struck me the most were the pink tortelloni, an original and delicious proposal, with a balanced and enveloping flavor. The fresh pasta was perfect in consistency and the filling melted in the mouth. The other dishes on the menu also presented themselves very well, with generous portions and an elegant but not pretentious plating. The staff was always kind, helpful and attentive, without ever being intrusive. They were able to advise us with discretion and competence, helping to make lunch even more enjoyable. Another element that makes La Vecchia Quercia truly special is the location. At the back of the restaurant there is a truly suggestive corner: a large well-kept garden with a beautiful swimming pool, which however we specify is for private use. Although not accessible to the public, the presence of the swimming pool helps create a relaxed and elegant atmosphere, perfect for romantic dinners or quiet evenings with friends. The overall environment is rustic but refined, with wooden and stone elements that give a feeling of warmth and authenticity. The attention to detail and the desire to offer a complete experience, not only from a gastronomic point of view, are evident. La Vecchia Quercia is a restaurant that I highly recommend to those looking for good food, impeccable service and a suggestive location. Whether it is an intimate dinner, a family lunch or a special evening, it is the right place to live an authentic and satisfying experience. We will definitely be back!

03/06/2025: From the other enthusiastic reviews we expected a lot, but was it a bad day? I don't know, but for us it was a bad experience. We arrived in 13 with a menu already set, to celebrate a little girl. The place is in the river area. When we arrived, they put us on the veranda where the heat and the amount of flies were really excessive. We started with the first courses: very good tortellini. The other first course, strigoli alla Norcia, instead, full of cream with 0 mushrooms. We asked for explanations, they told us that they are minced in cream, which should not be used. We moved on to the fried game and crescentine, where the game was small and super greasy, sliced, where the ham was too salty. We also had the wild boar stew, but it was beef. I had a tagliata which was excellent (hunter friends, so it's understandable). Finally, the liqueurs arrived: limoncello and licorice, but they were practically warm.

31/05/2025: Nice little restaurant, simple and easy-going, but above all delicious, the quality of the flours and the dough of the various dishes is at its best, all with attention to those who cannot consume gluten and with an excellent quality-price ratio. Super note: the borlenghi are made according to the Modena mountain tradition and are very good. Do you want fried gnocco and tigelle? Go here.

08/05/2025: Deep pizza with crust, always very good and digestible, excellent quality of ingredients, non-acidic tomato and cooked to perfection. The staff is friendly and the possibility of eating outside, in the gazebo, is very nice.
